Seth Rollins Comments On Being In The Ring With The Undertaker

Seth Rollins recently spoke with Bandwaggon.asia. here are some highlights from the interview:

What was the experience like being in the ring with The Undertaker?

“Yeah, I got into step into the ring with the Undertaker one time before he retired – it was a six-man tag match on Monday Night RAW in London. It was one of those nights I didn’t really get to fully grasp what we were doing. We had a show earlier in the day in Cardiff, Wales – and we took a helicopter to London! I had to basically get right into the ring and have a second match within a few hours.

“It was against Undertaker, Daniel Bryan and Kane though – so it was a tremendous experience. I remember looking across the ring at one point, locking eyes with a dead man – someone who’s an absolute legend, first ballot Hall-Of-Famer, one of the most incredible performers in the history of our industry. To share a ring with him is very surreal, especially considering our age difference.

“At some point, you’d consider that he’d be retired before you’d get the chance to be in the ring with him, but that’s just a testament to how he took care of himself and how physically forward-thinking he was in keeping himself healthy that late in his career.”

I think that brings me to your current song, which is called ‘The Second Coming’. You’ve been using it for about two to three years now. How is it fitting with you?

“Yeah I love it. It’s one of those where soon as the riff kicks in, everyone knows who’s coming through the curtains. That’s all that really matters when you’re picking an entrance theme. It fits my character. Though it was really weird adjusting to it at first because the pace of it is different from The Shield music, so y’know, trying to get the timing down on the entrance and making it feel like my own song took a little while.

“But now I’ve had so many moments with that music playing behind me or in front me – it’s become mine. People ask me “oh you’re gonna change your song, you’re gonna do this, you’re gonna do that” – I think that one’s sticking for a long time. I like guys who had the same entrance theme forever and ever – like Stone Cold, Chris Jericho, the Big Show – I think that’s always a really cool thing when guys have the same song for a really long time.”

Original Plans for the WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania

Chris Jericho revealed on Busted Open Radio that original plans for him at WrestleMania 33 saw him winning the WWE Universal Title from Kevin Owens. This obviously didn’t happen and plans got changed because Vince McMahon wanted to put the title on Goldberg instead.

According to Jericho, he would have defeated Owens and then drop the title to Brock Lesnar at the next RAW-brand pay-per-view event, Payback.

Also during Jericho’s appearance on Busted Open Radio, he revealed that he pitched the idea of wrestling a match against Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania.

The Taz Show Recap – Smackdown Analysis, Is Rusev Disgruntled? What Was the Best Part of Smackdown? More!

Block 1:

A listener calls in to open today’s show, saying he’s really looking forward to watching Backlash this weekend. The caller also hopes that the United States Title match between Kevin Owens and A.J. Styles main events the show. Taz says that he can understand that opinion, because those two guys can potentially steal the show, however he thinks Randy Orton and Jinder Mahal are going to have a great match as well.

Taz says that he didn’t like WWE’s utilization of Kevin Owens last night. He doesn’t believe that Owens should be stealing Chris Jericho’s gimmicks, and he thinks that Owens should be standing on his own because he’s better than this. Taz assumes that Jericho will be returning sooner than later and these two guys will revisit their feud, but Taz wonders how long WWE can drag out this program. It has already been ongoing for multiple months, and it doesn’t appear to be ending anytime soon.

A listener calls into the show and says that reforming The Shield is the only way that Roman Reigns is going to get over as a babyface with the WWE Universe. Taz disagrees and says reforming The Shield right now would be admitting defeat and would be a step back for Reigns and the company as a whole. He believes that turning Reigns full heel for a year or more would eventually result in the audience getting on Reigns’ side, then the company can flip him back to babyface.

Latest WWE News: Kevin Owens attacks Chris Jericho AGAIN

In a recent house show in Germany, Kevin Owens attacked Chris Jericho.
WWE reported:
Due to injuries sustained last week at the hands of Owens during the “Festival of Friendship” on Monday Night Raw, Jericho was deemed unable to compete on the tour. Nevertheless, the outspoken Superstar made a surprise appearance on crutches before the crowd in Regensburg, interrupting The Prizefighter’s imminent contest against Roman Reigns. Unamused, KO proceeded to unleash another ruthless attack on his erstwhile best friend.

Editor’s View:
This is a great signal for things to come in future as we are setting up for these two past best friends to collide at the grand daddy of them all Wrestlemania 33. Also, considering that the match between Goldberg & Owens this week at Fastlane which guarantees a new universal champion is going to be nothing more than a 2-5 minute treat. Kevin Owens needs to up his stake & make his heel gimmick as powerful as possible & feuding with the hottest property on RAW Y2J will build this superstar that was a clown into something more respectful.
