Welcome home? We are on the way to the Road To WrestleMania 39 in early April and it might be one of the biggest of all time. The show is set to be near Hollywood, California, meaning WWE is likely going to try to crank up the celebrity involvement. Now a wrestling legend might have revealed WWE’s plans to bring in a sports celebrity to take part in the show.

Ric Flair appeared as a guest on the most recent edition of ESPN’s First Take to promote his new Peacock documentary. During his appearance, Flair told host Stephen A. Smith that WWE was considering bringing Smith in as a manager at WrestleMania 39. Smith seemed open to the idea, and mentioned being a fan of Bobby Heenan and Paul Heyman. It is not clear if Flair was serious or just joking about the idea.

It might work. Check out the clip, plus Flair at the Showcase of the Immortals:

Opinion: I could absolutely see WWE bringing in someone like Smith, who is known for talking as much as he can about anything. That being said, I’m not sure how serious Flair was with what he said and that isn’t a bad thing. Flair very easily could have just been trying to butter Smith up a bit and it isn’t like it hurts anything. If nothing else, it is nice to hear about WrestleMania, as the show is getting rather close.

What do you think of the idea? Who is the best WrestleMania celebrity? Let us know in the comments below.
