The Wednesday Night Wars Could Be Ending In Less Than Two Months

One Wednesday show looks to be moving to Tuesdays.

Since October of 2019, we have had what fans have deemed “The Wednesday Night Wars.” This consists of both AEW Dynamite and NXT airing at the same time on Wednesday nights. Yet it looks like this is coming to an end in the next month or two.

We have been told here at PWUnlimited that a decision looks to have been made to move NXT on the USA Network off Wednesday nights to Tuesday nights. We were told that the change is likely to happen in April with an announcement to come soon.

The Mat Men Wrestling Podcast has also confirmed this news as well saying they have heard an April 13 start date for NXT on Tuesday nights. That would be the first NXT after WrestleMania.

This decision to move NXT off of Wednesday nights and place it on Tuesday is the right move to do at this point. We know that originally AEW would have liked Dynamite to be on Tuesday nights as they trademarked “Tuesday Night Dynamite” but because of the NBA on TNT on Tuesday night’s that was not possible. On TNT unless it is moved to the weekend Dynamite really can not move off of Wednesdays.

If we do hear anything else regarding NXT possibly moving to Tuesday nights after WrestleMania, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
