WRESTLING RUMORS: AEW Finalizing Plans For Third Weekly Television Show

Another. We are coming up on the four year anniversary of AEW’s first event with Double Or Nothing 2019. The company hit the ground running and has gone on to become the second biggest wrestling promotion in the world. That is the kind of thing that can change the wrestling industry, and now it seems that we might be getting to see even more of AEW on a regular basis. Among them was his relationship with Rhea Ripley, his time in prison, the future of The Judgement Day, and more. This past week on Raw, WWE presented its 3oth Anniversary show, also known as ‘Raw XXX’. It featured the return of many legends, including Ric Flair, who not only introduced his daughter, Charlotte, but also took time to try to mend some fences backstage. On the latest “To Be The Man” podcast, Flair talked about his experiences at ‘Raw XXX’: On being back at a WWE show: “It was phenomenal. I gotta tell you, I learned more about myself and more about what I’ve missed in the business and what I hadn’t missed in one day because I haven’t been here for a long time. Don’t get your hopes up. There have been a lot of great stables throughout WWE’s history, with some of the better ones being around in recent years. It makes sense for a stable to be successful in modern wrestling, as there is a heck of a lot more television time for the teams to dominate. The champ is back! According to a report from Variety, John Cena will be making his return to WWE on the final Smackdown of 2022. He will be appearing on the December 30 show, which will take place at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. From the report: This will mark Cena’s second appearance in WWE in 2022, as he previously returned to the sports entertainment giant in June during an episode of “Monday Night Raw” to celebrate his 20 year anniversary with the company. He did not wrestle a match during that appearance, but rather spoke in the ring about his time with WWE while also appearing in backstage segments. In terms of working in the ring, Cena most recently embarked on the “Summer of Cena” tour in 2021, which culminated in a celebrated match against WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at the annual “SummerSlam” pay-per-view in August 2021. How Close WWE And AEW Got To Working Together For DX Reunion Special

They had a request. The wrestling world has changed quite a bit since AEW became a new major promotion. For the first time in decades, WWE has major competition for television viewers and talent. That is not something they are used to but the two sides almost came together to do something special earlier this month. Now we know what might have been enough to make it work. Earlier this month, WWE presented the 25th anniversary of D-Generation X on the October 10 edition of Monday Night Raw. However, the segment did not include Billy Gunn, who is under contract to AEW. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the two companies did discuss Gunn being allowed to appear, with AEW President Tony Khan requesting WWE acknowledge that Gunn works for AEW. It’s a special day. Some of the most important moments in the history of wrestling have taken place on television. Most modern wrestling promotions are built around television, allowing millions of fans to see what has been going on. Watching those shows has become a weekly tradition for years and now the biggest wrestling show in history is setting up for a major milestone. According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, WWE has set plans in motion for the 30th anniversary of Monday Night Raw in January, though there is no word on what those plans might be. When Vince McMahon was still in charge of WWE, there was a possibility of the show taking place at the Manhattan Center in New York City but it is not clear if that plan is still an option. Monday Night Raw debuted on January 11, 1993. I’m told plans are in motion for the 30th Anniversary of RAW show coming up in January.
