Many can understand Harper’s frustrations as he rarely appears on Smackdown Live anymore.

Eric Bischoff Rips WWE Booking a Flag Match at WWE Battleground — Says It’s Boring

Former WCW President and former RAW GM Eric Bischoff talked about the Rusev-Cena flag match on his podcast, Bischoff On Wrestling :

“I hate it. I just hate it. I haaaate it. I hate it. God, whose idea was that? Vince McMahon, if you are listening to this or someone that works for you is listening to this re-think that. That is just… gwuck. My teeth hurt just listening to you talk about this”

He continued:

“What’s a Flag Match?! What the hell is a Flag Match?! It’s like it’s been around for a thousand years and eeeeverybody knows what a Flag Match is. So, I am going to take your flag? Or, you’re going to take my flag? I am sorry… do not care. Boring. Here is what I do believe now once I take off my cynical hat. If you want to build up a story, create emotion, build anticipation, have a sense of reality, give yourself an element of surprise and wrap it all in some great action you’ve got to be a little believable. The stakes have to be a little relatable. What are the stakes?! You are going to grab my flag? Huh? You are grabbing my flag? That’s what I am going to get pissed off about and fight my heart out about? You’re going to grab my flag. I am sorry. I am sleeping through that one.”

Cody Rhodes Says Intergender Matches Offend Him

While appearing on The Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, Cody Rhodes explained why intergender matches offend him. Here are the remarks he made about guy on girl action:

“Joey Ryan, the wrestling that Joey does is offensive to me. I have, however, wrestled him twice and loved the matches and loved the challenge. Intergender wrestling offends me; however, if someone was to offer, I don’t know if I’d say ‘no’ because that’s the challenge. We can’t be stuck in one mindset. Just the concept of a man touching a woman. I don’t know. I’m very conservative. I don’t know. I’m from the south, so like you can’t put your hands on women; however, a lot of women in those matches, want those fights.”

Vince Russo’s The Brand Recap – GLOW Analysis, Hardys vs. Sheamus & Cesaro Just Won’t End, RAW Needs More Joe & Lesnar, More!

Russo opens today’s show speaking about Netflix’s GLOW. He says that he watched the first few episodes and he was absolutely hooked. He thinks the show is very well written and acted, and it’s no surprise to him that the show is seeing success. He always said that a well written wrestling drama/comedy would draw better than an actual wrestling show.

He informs that back in 2000, he was hired by FOX to write a wrestling show and he penned a show called ‘Rope Opera’. It was more of a drama but FOX wanted a comedy, therefore they passed on his show.

Russo says that his disagreements with many wrestling journalists are simply that, disagreements. He does not hate any of them, and when he picks apart their silly opinions it’s just entertainment for him. However, he does not like being labeled a racist or a homophobe which a couple of them have done, and that made things personal for him.

He says that he is neither a racist or a homophobe, and if anyone has been discriminated his whole life it’s been him. He’s an Italian from New York, and people just think he acts a certain way due to his upbringing. He says that people continue to make up silly things about him and everyone believes the nonsense.
