Roman Reigns Might Have A Problem In The Near Future

Who’s next? The 2021 WWE Draft has come to an end and now it is time to see where we are. There were all kinds of changes to both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown, many of which could make a huge difference in the way things go moving forward. WWE has a few different paths they could take, but one area might be causing them a bit of a problem in the near future.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Roman Reigns’ next challenger after Drew McIntyre on SmackDown is unclear. After the Draft, Reigns does not have many viable main event challengers aside from McIntyre. Following McIntyre, his biggest current challengers would be Jeff Hardy, Happy Corbin, Sheamus and King Nakamura. Reigns is currently scheduled to defend the Universal Title against Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel and would then likely face the WWE Champion at Survivor Series.
Reigns could use a new challenger. Check out some of his potential opponents:

Wrestling Legend Undergoes Health Setback After Fall

Hopefully things get better. Wrestlers have a strange career trajectory, as they are likely to be retired from the ring by their mid 40s, but can still pop back in for a cameo from time to time. It can change the perception that fans have of them, as they might still seem like big stars despite their diminishing status. This means they might not be in as good shape as some fans believe, either financially or health wise. That seems to be the case again with a wrestling legend.
Earlier this year, a story came out about Brian Knobbs of the Nasty Boys undergoing health issues and being hospitalized. A Go Fund Me has been set up for Knobbs, and a new update has revealed that he has undergone a setback. According to the update, Knobbs fell at a rehabilitation facility and broke his clavicle while also injuring his head, which will require nine stitches. There is currently an effort to move him to a more appropriate rehabilitation facility, as he is currently in one designed for seniors.

Smackdown – April 11, 2007: It’s Like The Draft, But It’s Not

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?

Date: April 11, 2017

It’s the second night of the Superstar Shakeup which means we’ll be seeing a lot of new names showing up tonight. That primarily means names from Monday Night Raw but there’s also the chance of some people from NXT or maybe even the cruiserweights of 205 Live. Let’s get to it.
We open with the debuting Kevin Owens(in a suit), who declares this the new Kevin Owens Show. Now som..

Some Surprising Draft Picks Take Place On Monday Night Raw

Meet the new stars. WWE has so many wrestlers that it is able to separate them into three different groups. That is not something many promotions can do, but it is nice to have that many resources available. Monday Night Raw and SmackDown serve as the main rosters, while NXT is a developmental system. Sometimes you see stars come up though, and that was the case this week.
There were some NXT names drafted this week on Monday Night Raw, with both names going to SmackDown. First up, Xia Li was selected in Round Three. Li has been part of the Tian Sha stable, along with Boa and Mei Ying. Later, Ridge Holland was selected in Round Six. Holland returned from a broken ankle earlier this summer and continued his alliance with Pete Dunne.
You might need to get used to them. Check out the new stars in action:

More WWE Draft Picks From Raw Talk, Plus Remaining Free Agents

We aren’t done yet. The WWE Draft has come and gone for the year and it was certainly an eventful pair of nights. There were dozens of moves made with wrestlers jumping from show to show. At the same time though, there were some wrestlers who stayed on the shows they have been on for months now. It turns out that Monday Night Raw and SmackDown was not everything though, as we have some more picks.
This week’s edition of Raw Talk included several more picks in the 2021 Draft. Both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown received additional picks, which were announced in a group rather than show by show. There were teams split up while one team did stay together as they moved. None of these picks had been made before the show aired. Here are the Raw Talk picks in no particular order:
Monday Night Raw
Dana Brooke
Robert Roode
Dolph Ziggler
Jaxson Ryker
Veer
Liv Morgan
Nox
Tamina
Mia Yim
Shelton Benjamin
Cedric Alexander
Miz
Smackdown
Shotzi
Natalya
Jinder Mahal
Shanky

Major Grudge Match Confirmed For WWE Crown Jewel

You knew it was coming. On October 21, WWE is returning to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel, which will be one of the biggest shows of the year. That has always been the case for the shows in Saudi Arabia and it will be the case again this time. There are going to be some huge matches, and now another one has been added to the card. It turns out that this one is a little more personal.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Goldberg made an appearance to call out Bobby Lashley, who accidentally attacked Goldberg’s son at Summerslam. Lashley said he would not fight tonight, but would face Goldberg in a No Holds Barred match at Crown Jewel. Goldberg agreed with the match being made official. This will be a rematch from Summerslam, where Lashley won via referee stoppage.
It has been a big feud. Check out how we got here:

Monday Night Raw Results – October 4, 2021 (2021 Draft Night Two)

Monday Night Raw
Date: October 4, 2021
Location: Bridgestone Arena, Nashville, Tennessee
Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton
It’s time for the second half of the Draft and that could make for a huge night. These are the picks who were not made on Smackdown and the changes do not go into effect until October 22. On top of that though, we also have GOLDBERG making an appearance so you know things are special. Let’s get to it.
Commentary explains the Draft rules.
Here is Becky Lynch to get things going. Becky says it has been about a year and a half since she has been on this stage but she is ready to make some executives unhappy. The first Draft pick to Raw is…..yeah of course it’s her. Becky talks about how she never lost the Raw Women’s Title and Charlotte can’t stand the idea that she can’t beat her. Maybe it’s time to become Becky Two Belts again….and here is Charlotte to interrupt.
Charlotte reminds Becky that she took the Smackdown Women’s Title from her befor..

Special New WWE Signing Drafted To Monday Night Raw In Surprise Move

There’s your game changer. The WWE Draft has the potential to shake up a lot of things in the company in a hurry and sometimes it happens more than others. You never know when you might see a move that can change everything at once and occasionally it comes from the least likely location. That might be the case this year with a huge Draft pick being made this week.
In the final round of the 2021 WWE Draft, Monday Night Raw selected Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson with its final pick. Steveson won a gold medal in freestyle wrestling earlier this year at the Tokyo games and signed with WWE soon thereafter. It is not clear when Steveson will make his in-ring debut, as he is under a special contract with WWE which allows him to continue his college career at the University of Minnesota. He will begin full time with WWE when he graduates next spring.
WWE has a history with Olympians. Check out some of their time in WWE:

Huge Main Event Set For WWE Crown Jewel

There’s the big one. We are less than three weeks away from WWE Crown Jewel and that means it is time to start getting the rest of the card together. There are already several matches set for the show but you can still see a few glaring omissions which need to be filled. One of those matches was taken care of this week and it should be a heck of a showdown.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Drew McIntyre challenged Big E. for a WWE Title match. Before Big E. could answer, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode interrupted and a tag match broke out. McIntyre pinned Ziggler to win the match, with Big E. saying McIntyre could have a title shot at Crown Jewel. This comes after McIntyre was banned from challenging previous champion Bobby Lashley, who Big E. defeated for the title last month.
This could be interesting. Check out both men in action, plus how we got here:

Another Champion Switches Brands In WWE Draft

Welcome back. There are certain wrestlers who just feel different. Sometimes it is clear that a few wrestlers are bigger stars than others and it is easy to see why they are pushed as bigger stars than anyone else. These wrestlers do not come around often but you know them when you see them. That is the case in WWE and now one of the wrestlers is changing shows.
The second night of the 2021 WWE Draft is taking place this week on Monday Night Raw, with several more picks being made between both shows. SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch opened the show and announced that she is the first pick and will be heading to Monday Night Raw. It is not clear what this means for the title, though Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte was sent to SmackDown on the first night of the Draft. The changes do not take place until after Crown Jewel on October 21, where Lynch is set to defend her title against Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks.
Lynch has done some great things on Monday Night Raw. Check out her ..

New Title Match Announced For WWE Crown Jewel

The card keeps growing. We are less than three weeks away from WWE Crown Jewel, as the company returns to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This series of shows has been quite the controversial ones for WWE, though they are often stacked with major matches. That seems to be the case again this time around, as WWE has now announced another title match for the show.
WWE has announced that Raw Tag Team Champions RKBro will defend their titles against AJ Styles and Omos at Crown Jewel on October 21. This will be a rematch from Summerslam where RKBro won the titles. The two teams have feuded since, including a number of singles matches. Orton has been out of action for undisclosed reasons over the last week plus, though there is nothing to suggest he won’t be back in time for the match.
The feud has been going for a bit. Check out how we got here, plus the history of RKBro:

Details On Goldberg’s Special Deal In WWE

I’d say he counts as special. There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster and some of them are going to be treated like something more important. That could be the case for a lot of reasons, though some of them seem to be because they have earned a different status over the years. It seems to be the case with a certain legend who is back again for another run with the company.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Goldberg is one of a few WWE stars with a special deal to appear on shows in Saudi Arabia. Goldberg receives a large bonus for appearing on the shows, which is why his matches will never be moved elsewhere ala Bobby Lashley vs. Randy Orton on Monday Night Raw last month. Goldberg does not currently have a match set for Crown Jewel on October 21, but he is expected to face Bobby Lashley in a Summerslam rematch.
He has been in some big ones over there. Check out Goldberg in Saudi Arabia and against Lashley:
