Video: Ken Anderson Tells A Bizarre Story About Randy Orton’s Sexual Behavior

August 14, 2018 • Admin

Just…why? Last week, some stories started to come out about things Randy Orton has done over the years. To put it mildly, these stories aren’t the most pleasant things in the world and there’s a good chance that nothing good is going to come out of them. It turns out that a lot of these were known in the past and since the internet is everywhere, it’s hard to get away from these stories. The boot couldn’t be reached for comments. [This post contains video, click to play] In a clip from a shoot interview filmed in 2016, Ken Anderson (Mr. Anderson/Kennedy) tells a story about Orton doing something else rather odd. Anderson talks about being alone with Orton in a locker room after everyone else had left the building. With only Anderson in the room, a naked Orton did some questionable things to Anderson’s boot. Anderson pointed out that there was no one around to find it funny, which Orton didn’t seem to mind. Here are Anderson’s comments: “One time I was in the locker room. Everyone..

Main Event Results – August 9, 2018

August 14, 2018 • Admin

Main Event Date: August 9, 2018 Location: Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, Jacksonville, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness, Percy Watson We’re coming up on Summerslam and since he was on Raw last week, there’s no Brock Lesnar to be seen this time around. There is however Roman Reigns, who I have a feeling we’ll be hearing from here. Hopefully there’s some more stuff from Smackdown though, as that show was great. Let’s get to it. Here are last week’s results if you need a recap. Opening sequence. No Way Jose vs. Curt Hawkins Jose has the Conga Line with him. Hawkins’ shoulder doesn’t do much good as Jose headlocks him and grabs an atomic drop. A shot to the ribs puts Jose on the floor and Hawkins is rather pleased. Back in and we hit the chinlock, followed by a snap suplex into the second chinlock. Hawkins misses the elbow though and Jose slugs away, followed by a fireman’s carry flapjack for two. The Pop Up right hand finishes Hawkins at 5:30. Result: No Way ..

Dean Ambrose to Betray Seth Rollins at WWE ‘SummerSlam’?

August 14, 2018 • Admin

Dean Ambrose has finally returned to WWE. The Lunatic Fringe came out on the August 13 edition of Monday Night Raw and joined Seth Rollins in a physical confrontation with Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. The two former Shield teammates stood tall in the ring and fought side by side against the Intercontinental champion and his Scottish enforcer. Rollins is booked against Dolph for the IC title at SummerSlam on August 19 and Ambrose will be in his corner. But will Dean do the unthinkable and turn on his best friend? It seems like a long shot perhaps but the timing may be right for Ambrose to turn heel once again. Dean’s mission at SummerSlam is to bring his unique level of insanity to Seth’s corner. He can even the odds for Rollins against Ziggler and McIntyre, which is something Seth has needed for quite some time. The Kingslayer has been trying to find a way to fend off both Drew and Dolph but to no avail. Rollins wants his Intercontinental Championship back but so far, he has been ..

Video: Opening For Summerslam Released

August 14, 2018 • Admin

Let’s get it started. While a lot of fans are going to remember one specific match from a wrestling show, a lot more might remember the opening video. If there’s one thing that WWE knows how to do, it’s put together a video package that makes you want to see what they have coming up for the rest of the evening. This is an area where WWE shines and that’s what they did again this time around. And we get a sneak preview. [This post contains video, click to play] WWE has released the opening video to this year’s Summerslam six days before the show airs. The video features actor Terry Crews outside the Barclays Center (the location for Sunday’s show), talking in rhyme about how this year’s show is about achieving your dreams, no matter how high they might be. As is usually the case with WWE videos, things then shifts into a set of clips about this year’s major matches. Check out the changes to the Summerslam card announced this week. Opinion: Hiring a well known actor like Crews is a..

Video: Dean Ambrose Makes His WWE Return With A New Look

August 14, 2018 • Admin

Guess who’s back. Every now and then you get a big time return in wrestling, which is one of the coolest things you can get. The fans are almost guaranteed to react because it’s likely someone they haven’t seen in a long time and the return can change things in a big way going forward. It can be even better if not so subtle hints are dropped, which was the case this week. He looks different. [This post contains video, click to play] Earlier tonight on Monday Night Raw, Dean Ambrose made his return to WWE after being out of action since December with a triceps injury. Ambrose returned to help Seth Rollins deal with Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, promising to be in Rollins’ corner this Sunday at Summerslam. This was Ambrose’s first active appearance on WWE TV since the December 18, 2017 episode of Monday Night Raw. Opinion: I like the new look and this is exactly where the story should have gone. Ambrose is someone who is going to make an instant impact and the fans went coconuts f..

It Just Keeps Going. Changes Made To Summerslam Card, Kickoff Show Grows

August 14, 2018 • Admin

They almost got there. With Sunday’s Summerslam card all but set, there wasn’t much room to add anything. The show already had eleven matches on the main card alone, which is pushing it even on a four hour pay per view. That being said, WWE has never seemed to mind adding in as much stuff as they can, which is why some changes were made to the Summerslam card this week on Monday Night Raw. As announced on this week’s show, the Kickoff Show will now feature three matches instead of the previously announced one. In addition to the already announced mixed tag between Rusev/Lana vs. Andrade Cien Almas/Zelina Vega, two title matches were added. Now, the show will also feature the new match of the B Team defending the Raw Tag Team Titles against the Revival and the previously announced (for the main card) Cruiserweight Title match between champion Cedric Alexander and Drew Gulak. The new card will be three Kickoff Show matches and ten regular show matches. Here’s a preview of one of the ti..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – August 13, 2018

August 13, 2018 • Admin

Monday Night Raw Date: August 13, 2018 Location: Greensboro Coliseum, Greensboro, North Carolina Commentators: Michael Cole, Renee Young, Corey Graves Now this should be an interesting one as Renee Young will be the first woman to do a full night of commentary on Raw. We’re also in WCW country and it’s the go home show for Summerslam. It’s hard to say what we’ll be seeing tonight as it’s not clear if Brock Lesnar will be around or not (I wouldn’t get my hopes up). Let’s get to it. No In Memory of Jim Neidhart graphic. Here’s a somber Ronda Rousey to say that Natalya won’t be here tonight. She talks about the importance of fathers, including Neidhart who passed away earlier today. Natalya was the first person to help her out when she got here and Rousey will be the first person to stand up for Natalya in her absence. Alexa Bliss had to cheat to beat Natalya and on Sunday, she’ll beat Bliss to win the title. That’s the same thing Ember Moon is going to do right now so it’s time for a ..

Jim Neidhart Passes Away At 63

August 13, 2018 • Admin

Anvil smash. When I was growing up, the Hart Foundation was one of the coolest tag teams around. They made pink and black look awesome with a combination of speed and technical skills from Bret Hart to go with the raw power of Jim Neidhart. There were few teams better and that status has stood the test of time. Now though, something has happened to make their legacy all the stronger. WWE.com has confirmed that Neidhart passed away at the age of 63 with no cause of death announced. Neidhart was best known for his team with Hart, both as the regular Hart Foundation tag team and later as part of the Hart Foundation stable. He and Hart were actual family as Neidhart married Hart’s sister Ellie. The couple’s daughter Natalya has wrestled for WWE for ten years. His own chance to shine. [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I’m not sure what happened to Neidhart, but it’s always sad to see someone go before their time. Neidhart was very good in his role and a heck of a tag w..

Rumor: Here’s How Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar Might End At Summerslam

August 13, 2018 • Admin

That’s one way to go. We’re less than a week away from Summerslam and the main event certainly has people talking. This year’s show will be headlined by Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title and that presents a problem. Reigns isn’t the most liked person on the roster and there’s a good chance that he won’t be cheered no matter what happens. WWE is looking for a way around it and they seem to have an idea. According to Rajah.com, one of the potential endings to the match would see Reigns winning clean to become Universal Champion, only to send Lesnar over the edge in the process. Lesnar would attack Reigns, which would draw out Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose in a Shield reunion. The trio would TripleBomb Lesnar through the announcers’ table to end the show. Ambrose hasn’t wrestled this year after suffering an arm injury last December. Reigns knows how to hurt him. [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: That’s been an idea that has floated around in recen..

Video: Top Ten One Time Only Tag Team Partners

August 13, 2018 • Admin

For one night only. Tag team wrestling has always been a rough patch for WWE. There are periods where things will be great (late 1980s, the Dudley Boyz vs. Hardy Boyz vs. Edge and Christian) but other than that, there are very few long term instances of great tag team wrestling. A lot of the time WWE will go with two people being thrown into a team and hoping for the best. Sometimes they’re just a one off team, to the point where WWE is looking back at the idea. Teddy Long is smiling somewhere. [This post contains video, click to play] WWE has released a new Top Ten video looking at the ten best one off tag teams in company history. The video is almost exactly what it sounds like, looking at pairings that only teamed together once for some random occasion. The idea seems to be much more of a recent concept, as all but one of the entries coming from 2001-present, with a sole outlier from 1992. Opinion: This wasn’t one of their better lists as for the most part, there is a reason th..

Major League Wrestling Fusion Results – August 10, 2018

August 13, 2018 • Admin

Fusion #17 Date: August 10, 2018 Location: Melrose Ballroom, New York City, New York Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Rich Bocchini Things are already starting to get interesting around here all over again, just after Battle Riot. We still have Black Friday Management and Promociones Dorado hooking up to make things that much more dangerous, but there are several stars who could rise up to challenge them. Let’s get to it. Here are last week’s results if you need a recap. Earlier this week, Kotto Brazil, Barrington Hughes and Shane Strickland challenging Sami Callihan and the Death Machines to WAR GAMES. The ten man WarGames, with two more partners for each team to be announced, is confirmed for September 6 in Fort Lauderdale. Barrington Hughes vs. Leon Scott They slug it out and Hughes is rocked less than ten seconds in. A release Rock Bottom plants Scott and there’s the big elbow to draw in Sawyer Fulton for the DQ at 37 seconds. Result: Barrington Hughes b. Leon Scott via DQ when ..

Major League Wrestling Fusion Results – August 3, 2018

August 13, 2018 • Admin

Fusion #16 Date: August 3, 2018 Location: Melrose Ballroom, New York City, New York Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Matt Striker We’re past Battle Riot and that means things are back to normal around here. Tom Lawlor won the big event and has what is pretty much a Money in the Bank contract. Other than that we have some stories coming out of the Battle Riot which could make for some interesting TV. You never know what to expect around here so let’s get to it. Here are the Battle Riot results if you need a recap. Note that this is listed as episode 16, meaning Battle Riot was 15. We look at the footage of Shane Strickland being attacked. Sami Callihan has admitted to being behind it due to bringing Shane out of the horrible places in wrestling and making him a star. Now he’s doing it for the money because Shane believes that he’s a bigger star than he really is. That means it’s time for a match. Opening sequence. The announcers run down the show. Brody King vs. Jimmy Havoc King sho..

Who Won This Year’s New Japan G1 Climax Tournament?

August 13, 2018 • Admin

Go Tournament Ace! One of the most interesting stories that can be told in wrestling is the story of the former star who is trying to have one last run at the top. It can create a great moment if they can reach the mountaintop one more time but even if they lose, the road back is often amazing to see. There are very few promotions ever at the level of the current New Japan product and that means they could pull off this story again. They’re taking a shot. Earlier this morning, Hiroshi Tanahashi won his third G1 Climax Tournament by defeating Kota Ibushi, earning the right to challenge for the IWGP World Title at the January 4, 2019 Wrestle Kingdom 13. Tanahashi will have to defend the title shot until then and could lose the shot on the way. This is Tanahashi’s third win, with his previous victories coming in 2007 and 2015. He also set a record for the most points in a 20 man tournament with 15 (seven wins and one draw). This is always worth a listen. [This post contains video, clic..

A SmackDown Live Superstar May Have Been Injured At A House Show

August 13, 2018 • Admin

That’s a relief. Every time a wrestler goes into the ring, you never know what’s going to happen. While wrestlers are professionals and some of the best trained performers in the world, there’s always the chance that someone is going to get injured. It can happen all the way from the main event of WrestleMania to the lowest of house show matches, which is what happened on Sunday night. According to Ringsidenews.com, Tye Dillinger seemed to have been knocked out during a match with Shelton Benjamin in Florence, South Carolina. The details are sparse but it seems to be due to Dillinger taking a hard bump. There is no word on whether or not the match was finished or if Dillinger got back to his feet. At the moment it isn’t clear if he was selling or actually knocked out. @davemeltzerWON Tye Dillinger appeared to get legit ko'd during a match with Sheldon Benjamin at the house show in Florence SC tonight. Building was less than half full. pic.twitter.com/L657nM4i8r — Tex Johnson [B..

Impact Wrestling Taping Results From Sunday Night *SPOILERS*

August 13, 2018 • Admin

We’re moving forward. Impact Wrestling has undergone a renaissance this year with some of the best television they’ve put on in years, including a heck of a show at Slammiversary. It’s been one of the best things I’ve seen them do in a very long time and I’m actually curious to see where they’re going to go in the future. Now we know where some of those things are going to be going. Impact Wrestling was back at the Rebel Sports Complex in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Sunday to tape some more television. It’s not clear when this show will air but the most likely date would be sometime later this month, probably starting on August 19. There is always the chance that these results will air out of order, which is a common situation for Impact Wrestling. Here are the results, courtesy of Wrestlinginc.com: * Joe Hendry defeated Tyson Dux (Xplosion Match) * LAX (w/ Konnan) defeated Tarik and Brent Banks (Xplosion Match) * Brian Cage (c) defeated Fenix (w/ Pentagon Jr.) (Impact X Division C..

Backstage News On James Ellsworth’s Status With WWE

July 20, 2018 • Admin

Ever since James Ellsworth made his return to WWE, he has done his job of ensuring that Carmella has hung on to the Smackdown Live Women’s Championship belt. But how long will he be around? According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ellsworth is not under contract and is just being used on a per-date basis. In addition, since Since this comeback, he has only been working TV dates, but no house shows. This latest run has helped his independent bookings, as he is one of the few guys featured on WWE television that indie promoters can use. However, this might also mean they have no long-term plans for his role, because if they did, he would be signed to a deal. [This post contains video, click to play] Editor’s Opinion: Honestly, this news doesn’t surprise me. He will never be featured as a main performer, as his role is simply to be a comedy act. However, he is incredibly entertaining, and as long as Carmella is the champion, Ellsworth will be around, d..

Video: McMahon Family’s Most Shocking Arrests

July 20, 2018 • Admin

You know, it might be a bad sign if this has a whole list. It’s no secret that the McMahon Family runs the WWE and the wrestling world as a whole. This has been the case for a long time now and as a result, the family is regularly presented on WWE television. That means a lot of storylines that can be shown about them and therefore, some things are going to be repeated. One of these isn’t quite as the legal department would prefer. This one varies a lot. [This post contains video, click to play] WWE has released a new video looking at the McMahon Family’s Most Shocking Arrests. The video is exactly what it sounds like: a collection of times the McMahon Family has been arrested over the years. The majority of these have been for assault in one way or another, as the family has a tendency to be rather violent. These date back several years, and include times where the family members have even attacked each other. Opinion: You might think that it’s time to come up with something fres..

More Backstage News On Hulk Hogan’s Return To WWE

July 20, 2018 • Admin

It had been previously reported that Hulk Hogan has been reinstated to the WWE Hall of Fame, and made his return to the company, addressing the backstage locker room and apologized for his actions over the last few years. But how did his return actually go down? According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, when Hogan gave his speech, he talked about how he regretted not only what he said, but the people he hurt and embarrassing the company. However, there were very mixed feelings with many not believing that he was sincere, and taking the speech as more of an “I embarrassed the company because somebody filmed me without my knowledge, and not that, under any circumstances, what I said was awful.” Hogan then apologized for what he said, and did mention that he didn’t know he was being recorded. It appeared to most, that the majority of the talent accepted what he said. Much of the talent seemed to react favorably, with many shaking his hands and hugging him. H..
