This Could Be Big. WWE May Be Changing The Style Of Their Promos.

March 15, 2019 • Admin

It would certainly be a welcome upgrade. WWE is a company that has a lot of major issues that need to be fixed but one of the biggest certainly seems to be the way wrestlers talk to each other. The criticism seems to be centered around the fact that almost no one actually talks like a normal human. It’s a fair complaint, and as it turns out something might actually be done about it for a change. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is shifting more towards a reality style of promos, with the wrestlers and personalities talking more like their character would speak. This would be a change from the overly scripted promos which are considered to be given in a way that no normal person would use. There is no word on if this is just for WrestleMania season or if it would be a permanent change. Yeah more like this. Check out Samoa Joe’s awesome way of speaking: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is one of those things that could shake things up in a m..

March 15, 2019 • Admin

It would be worth the stage. One of the biggest names in wrestling today is Finn Balor, though he’s also one of the biggest what if’s going today. Fans know how good he is but the question is how huge could he be. Balor has all the tools necessary to be one of the top stars in the world and a lot of that is due to one specific thing that he does, which could be happening again soon. According to 411mania.com, a new advertisement for WrestleMania 35 features Balor in his Demon attire, which indicates that the character could be making his WrestleMania debut. Balor only uses the Demon character on rare occasions, sometimes only once a year. It’s A Classic. Rumor: What’s Next For AJ Styles After WrestleMania 35?

March 15, 2019 • Admin

It’s a classic for a reason. Late last year, AJ Styles wrapped up a year plus reign as WWE Champion, which was one of the longest in about thirty years. The reign saw Styles in a ton of good to excellent matches, including with a variety of top level opponents. Some of them included various rematches, but now that Styles isn’t champion anymore, we might be heading into a different kind of story. According to Cagesideseats.com, the post WrestleMania 35 plans for Styles could see a feud with current United States Champion Samoa Joe, though there is no word on if the feud would be for the title or not. Styles and Samoa Joe feuded extensively during 2018 with Samoa Joe losing the majority of the matches and never winning the title. Styles is currently scheduled to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania. Samoa Joe brings out the fire in Styles. Check out one of their violent encounters: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: It’s something that has worked before and it’s the kind..

See You Later. Two WWE Stars Taking Time Off.

March 15, 2019 • Admin

Just because they’re wrestlers doesn’t mean they need a break. Wrestling is one of the most unique professions in the world as you never know when you’re going to get a break. Wrestlers have to be on the road all the time and that can make it difficult to have a life outside of the ring. That can be a problem for some, but it helps a lot when you’re married to a fellow wrestler, especially when it comes to planning time off. As announced on her Twitter, Zelina Vega and her husband Aleister Black will be heading to Amsterdam, Holland for the first half of their honeymoon. The two were recently married late last year before Black was promoted to the main roster from NXT. There is no word on how long they will be gone for, though it will probably be during part of WWE’s upcoming European tour. A bit late but finally going on 1/2 of our honeymoon ? Amsterdam here we come! ….aaand being off the grid for a little will be nice 😉 *cue angry tweets* pic.twitter.com/DhZIzQXOYR — Zelina Vega (..

Is John Cena Kurt Angle’s Perfect Opponent at CombatMania 35?

March 15, 2019 • Admin

Kurt Angle announced his upcoming retirement on the March 11 edition of Monday Night Raw. The WWE Hall of Famer said that he intends on working his last match at WrestleMania 35 on April 7 and now the speculation has begun. Who will step up to face the Olympic gold medalist on The Grandest Stage of Them All? There is a short list of names that could be viable choices to take this spot. Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and Brock Lesnar are all seemingly perfect for the match because each man has a history with Angle. But AJ is facing Randy Orton at Mania and Joe, the current United States champion, will likely defend his title against someone from SmackDown Live. But one man stands out from the rest and that man is John Cena. The former face of WWE is the best pick for this match. He and Kurt definitely have a history together and that history happens to involve the rise of John Cena as the man to beat in Vince McMahon’s company. If not for John’s first major splash against Angle, there’s a good ..

March 14, 2019 • Admin

Main Event Date: March 14, 2019 Location: PPG Paints Arena, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Commentators: Renee Young, Percy Watson, Byron Saxton It’s recap week during one of the most important times of the year. I wouldn’t mind if they just dropped the original stuff during this season as it’s just taking up time when they could talk about more important things. Then again Main Event has never made the most sense in the first place. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. EC3 vs. Tyler Breeze EC3 elbows him in the face to start and drops the EC3 elbow as Watson talks about how awesome he is. Another EC3 elbow is countered by a superkick for two but a hard clothesline gets the same. A powerbomb is countered into an enziguri but it’s a TKO to drop Breeze again. Not that it matters as Breeze grabs a hurricanrana for the pin at 4:09. Result: Tyler Breeze b. EC3 – Hurricanrana (4:09) From Raw. Here’s the Shield for their big farewell speech. What Are Mainstream Reporters Not Allowed To Say When Covering WWE Events?

March 14, 2019 • Admin

I guess you need to know what to say. According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, prior to WWE’s press conference in which they made the announcement of Wrestlemania 36, the company handed a series of do’s and don’ts to the mainstream media reporters that were covering the event. It contained a set of instructions about the verbiage that media outlets can and cannot use when writing reports about WWE. Here is the list: 1) When referring to our talent, we ask that you refer to them as WWE Superstars both for the men and women and NOT as “professional wrestlers;” 2) As of March 2016, our female Superstars are NO longer referred to as WWE Divas, so please call them WWE Superstars; 3) Please refer to our company as WWE and NOT World Wrestling Entertainment; 4) Please do not refer to our company as “the WWE,” but rather “WWE.” 5) Please do NOT use the term “professional wrestling,” instead using WWE or Sports Entertainment to describe our brand (E.G. “We have..

March 14, 2019 • Admin

Some people have a drive that just won’t quit. He, in fact, will continue to compete in the ring. Here’s a clip of him in a heated rivalry with Michael Cole from 2013: [This post contains video, click to play] The King has made sporadic appearances with WWE, mostly as a member of various kick-off panels prior to pay-per-view events. However, has not competed in a match with them in quite some time. Lawler was most recently in the news when it was reported that his son, Brian, took his own life while being in person for a Disorderly Conduct charge. Editor’s Opinion: No matter where he goes, he will always be a draw and people will always look forward to seeing him. The King is one of the most legendary figures in the history of professional wrestling, both on the mic and in the ring, and is always e..

What Will Be Bruce Prichard’s Official Title Within WWE?

March 14, 2019 • Admin

It had been previously reported that WWE has recently re-hired Bruce Prichard to be a “right-hand man” for Vince McMahon in upper management. Prichard was formerly known as Brother Love in the 80s. But what will his official title be? According to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Prichard will officially be known as a Senior Vice President. Jim Cornette elaborated on Prichard’s hiring on a recent edition of the “Two Man Power Trip: “Bruce Prichard is going to serve on the creative team because Vince McMahon knows that Bruce get it. He gets it and he can relay it to other people. What is `it?’ `It’ is what Vince McMahon likes and what Vince wants and I he is probably (and I can see Vince sitting there) saying that they just don’t get it, these damn people and these kids they just don’t get it.” “I guarantee you that Bruce Prichard will be able to articulate what Vince McMahon wants to these people probably better than Vince can because Vince sometimes sends it..

Ring Of Honor TV Results – March 13, 2019

March 14, 2019 • Admin

Ring of Honor Date: March 13, 2019 Location: RP Funding Center, Lakeland, Florida Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Colt Cabana I’m not sure what to expect from this show anymore and that’s a very cool thing to say. The stories have gotten awesome as of late and that makes me want to keep watching. This is the unofficial go home show for the Anniversary Show this Friday, where a lot of things will be set up for the MSG show. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Jay Lethal destroying Matt Taven’s fake World Title last week. Opening sequence. Kingdom vs. Villain Enterprises TK O’Ryan/Vinny Marseglia vs. Marty Scurll/PCO here with no one in either corner. The Kingdom jumps them before the bell but a screaming PCO clotheslines them both. He and Scurll clear the ring and pose before settling down to work on O’Ryan’s arm. Marseglia breaks up a sunset flip attempt though and whips Scurll nearly through the barricade to take over. Back in and a double suplex gets two on Marty as we take a b..

205 Live Results – March 12, 2019

March 14, 2019 • Admin

205 Live Date: March 12, 2019 Location: Nutter Center, Dayton, Ohio Commentators: Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness, Aiden English The tournament season continues around here with the final four of the Cruiserweight Title #1 Contender tournament. In this case, there aren’t exactly a ton of great options but that’s the case with a lot of the title scene at the moment. Cedric Alexander is probably the favorite to win the whole thing, as tends to be the case, but bigger surprises have happened before. Let’s get to it. We open with Drew Gulak for a change. He loves tournament semifinals because it’s where you separate the men from the boys. In other words, it’s the round where Tony Nese collapses under the pressure. Drew owns him and tonight will be no different. Nese knows that Gulak is different than anyone else on the roster because Gulak will dissect every mistake that Nese makes. His focus is his best asset and Gulak knows nothing about him. Oney Lorcan says this is all business and he..

KB’s Review: Come One, Come Everyone Else

March 14, 2019 • Admin

With Fastlane out of the way (thank goodness, though the show was solid), it’s time to finally focus on WrestleMania 35, which means we need a card. The matches are either put together or starting to become obvious and one thing is very clear: we are, yet again, in for a freaking ton of matches involving several people, many of whom don’t deserve to be on the show but will be anyway because of this everyone belongs policy from WWE. That’s what we’re going to look at today: this ridiculous idea that everyone in the company needs to be on WrestleMania for one reason or another. Now before we start, I know that the show has to fill in seven hours somehow and that a lot of it comes down to the bonuses that WWE gives out for appearing on the show (as they should). We’re looking at this from more of a kayfabe perspective this time around, as there is very little reason to have so many people on the show. Let’s start with some history. WrestleMania hasn’t always been such a crazy long show...

NXT UK Results – March 13, 2019

March 14, 2019 • Admin

NXT UK Date: March 13, 2019 Location: Coventry Skydome Arena, Coventry, England Commentators: Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness With less than a month to go before Wrestlemania, it’s time to get things ready for what should be the most obvious title match in years. Tonight Pete Dunne and Walter team up to face the Coffey Brothers in what should be an interesting match. Other than that it’s time to keep setting things up for what is probably coming up after New York. Let’s get to it. Sid Scala and Johnny Saint arrive and promise a big night. Opening sequence. Flash Morgan Webster vs. Wolfgang The Coffey Brothers go to the back as Wolfgang goes after Webster, who comes out with a jumping knee to the face and some right hands. The springboard attempt earns him a face first drop onto the top turnbuckle and a clothesline turns Webster inside out. The front facelock keeps Webster in trouble until he fights up for a dropkick to the floor. A suicide clothesline to the back of the head and a re..

WWE Has Plans To Continue The Shield Without Dean Ambrose

March 14, 2019 • Admin

So that’s how they’re keeping it going. This past Sunday at Fastlane, the main event was centered around the Shield having one last ride together. With Dean Ambrose not re-signing with WWE after next month, it was time to wrap things up for the team once and for all. However, with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins sticking around, something could still be done. According to Ringsidenews.com, local advertisements for the upcoming European tour, which is scheduled to take place after Ambrose is set to leave the company, feature Rollins and Reigns teaming up with Braun Strowman as an honorary member of the Shield. The team will face off with Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley and Baron Corbin in six man tags. This isn’t the first time such a thing has happened, as Triple H served as an honorary member in 2017. He really did it. Check out Triple H as part of the team: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This makes as much sense as anything else as you can’t blame WWE for trying t..

Rumor: Signs That Brock Lesnar, Dean Ambrose And Ronda Rousey Are Leaving WWE (Photo)

March 14, 2019 • Admin

It’s never too early to start making assumptions. The contract situations in WWE are always an interesting discussion with WrestleMania season being a more energetic time than most. That’s the case again at the moment with the status of several names being discussed. While it’s a long way off, this year’s Summerslam is a big show and something has been released that suggests who might still be around. New Summerslam promotional material released locally in Toronto, Canada by way of Ringsidenews.com shows several names from both brands, but a few big names are missing. Ronda Rousey, Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar are all absent from the images, which feature thirty six names. These three are all rumored to be leaving WWE soon, though these images are preliminary, meaning changes could be made before the show. Lesnar certainly has a history at Summerslam.
