WWE Scores Major Win In A Variety Of Lawsuits

So much for that. WWE is a huge wrestling company. Actually they’re a pretty big company no matter what profession we’re talking about. They have very deep pockets and all kinds of resources. That means people are going to come after them, even if there’s not much validity to the claims made. Some of those claims were brought up again in recent years, but this time they’re going in WWE’s favor.
According to PWInsider.com, a US District Court Judge in Connecticut has dismissed all lawsuits currently against WWE in regards to concussions. The lawsuits, many of which have been filed by attorney Konstantine Kyros over the last several years, claimed that WWE was responsible for a variety of head injuries due to not properly advising the wrestlers on the risk of such injuries.
I wonder if the lawsuit went like this.

Opinion: That’s about the only way it could have gone. At the end of the day, wrestlers have to know what kind of risks they’re ta..

Rumor: When Is Brock Lesnar Scheduled To Wrestle Again?

Here he comes again. Last night at Hell In A Cell, Brock Lesnar made his return from WWE after a full month away from the company. While that doesn’t sound like that long on paper, it’s much more interesting when you consider that Lesnar seemed to be heading back to the UFC full time, particularly with a Heavyweight Title fight against champion Daniel Cormier penciled in for January. That’s a long way away though, so what might be on tap for the time in between?
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the current plan is for Lesnar to wrestle a match at the Saudi Arabia show on November 2. There is no word on who he will be facing at the show, though it isn’t likely to be Universal Champion Roman Reigns or Braun Strowman, the two of whom will be facing off against each other in a six man tag. Lesnar is still rumored to be facing Cormier in January.
I’d say he looks fine.

Hell In A Cell 2018 Results

Hell in a Cell 2018
Date: September 16, 2018
Location: AT&T Center, San Antonio, Texas
Commentators: Michael Cole, Renee Young, Corey Graves, Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton
Welcome to the first show of the three that WWE is currently building. In this case we have the show designed around carnage and that could mean a few things. The show hasn’t exactly blown me away on paper but maybe they’ll surprise me here. There are two matches inside the big red cage tonight so let’s get to it.
Kickoff Show: Smackdown Tag Team Titles: Rusev Day vs. New Day Rusev Day is defending after winning a tournament. Kofi wastes no time in double stomping English and it’s already off to Rusev. A fall away slam has Kofi in trouble and we go split screen to see an Alexa Bliss vs. Ronda Rousey ad. Back with Kofi fighting out of a front facelock and hitting a tornado DDT for the tag off to Big E. Suplexes abound but Rusev tags himself in to kick Big E. in the head.
English tags himself back in though, leaving Bi..

Backstage News on Brock Lesnar’s WWE Return at ‘Hell in a Cell’

Brock Lesnar’s shocking return to WWE at Hell in a Cell is the hottest news in the pro wrestling world right now and with good reason. The Beast Incarnate was believed to be out of Vince McMahon’s company, at least for now. He was supposedly on his way back to the UFC , where he and Daniel Cormier are expected to face off sometime in early 2019. Lesnar’s return ruined the Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman, infuriating many fans in the process. Considering Brock’s penchant for long absences, is there any reason to believe that will change now? Why is he back?
Dave Meltzer is reporting on MMA Fighting that Brock Lesnar came back to set up a future Universal title bout. The bout will supposedly happen at a WWE event in Saudi Arabia, probably in early November. This means that current champion Roman Reigns is not safe as many fans previously believed he was.
However it does seem that Lesnar is indeed planning a UFC return. Apparently while he is in the..

Brock Lesnar Returns At 2018 Hell In A Cell

Thought that the beast was gone? Think again. Tonight at the 2018 edition of Hell In A Cell, Brock Lesnar made his shocking return to the company. He entered the cell during the main event match for the Universal Championship between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman.
The last time that The Beast was mentioned on WWE programming, his advocate, Paul Heyman was being told that he would not receive a Universal Championship rematch at Hell In A Cell. You can see a clip of that below:

From WWE.com:
The Beast Incarnate, who lost the Universal Title to Reigns at SummerSlam (and had been denied the rematch he wanted at WWE Hell in a Cell), kicked open the door and attacked both champion and challenger, reducing a chunk of a table to splinters across their backs before laying both out with F-5s — Reigns landing on top of Strowman. Paul Heyman, meanwhile, incapacitated Foley with what looked like pepper spray to the face, leaving the replacement ref n..

New Champion Crowned At 2018 Hell In A Cell

The era of the Lass Kicker has begun.
Tonight at the 2018 edition of Hell In A Cell, Becky Lynch defeated Charlotte Flair to become the new Smackdown Live Women’s Champion. This is her second run with the championship.
You can see a backstage interview after she won the title below:

From WWE.com:
No matter how much of a fight Charlotte put up, however, she could only punch back so hard with one working arm. Becky’s steady dismantling of Charlotte’s left arm left her ripe for a Dis-arm-her, which Lynch finally locked in near the edge of the ring and held up to the limit of the five-count after Charlotte rolled under the ropes. Using what parts of her body were available, Charlotte built up a full head of steam and went for a spear, but The Irish Lass Kicker reversed it seamlessly into a DDT, rolled over and covered The Queen for the pin.
Editor’s Opinion:
I’m glad that Becky is finally getting her moment and opportunity to be on top of t..

For The Love Of Mankind. Mick Foley Might Be Limited In Guest Refereeing Job

Then what’s the point? Earlier this week, Mick Foley was announced as the guest referee for the Hell in a Cell match between Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. I’m a huge Foley fan but I’m not sure I get the point here. Foley is 53 years old and hasn’t wrestled regularly in years. There are also his physical limitations, which seem to be taking away something that he might be expected to do in the match.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Foley is not allowed to do much of anything, if anything at all, physical in his role as guest referee. Foley is moving around better than he has in years due to hip replacement but his history of concussions aren’t going to allow him to take any kind of significant bumps. There is a chance that he’s going to do something, but it’s not likely to be very much.
You can’t see this one enough.

Opinion: I’m really not sure what the point is in having Foley involved in the match. A..

Video: WWE Posts Rare Out Of Character Undertaker Interview On Mankind Hell In A Cell Match

A little different perspective. There are very few moments in wrestling history more famous than Undertaker throwing Mankind off the top of the Hell in a Cell back at King Of The Ring 1998. You just don’t get moments like that every often and it might be the most played clip in WWE history. Mankind has talked about the incident time and time again but you don’t hear Undertaker talk about it very often. With the twentieth anniversary taking place earlier this year, that has changed.
It’s still weird hearing that voice out of character.
[This post contains video, click to play]

WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube page featuring Undertaker and Mankind talking about the Cell match out of character. This is a rather rare occurrence as Undertaker is known for almost never giving out of character interviews. During the interview, Undertaker talks about wrestling the match with an injury of his own, his thoughts on starting the match on top of the Cell and the infamous crash through ..

Broken Beyond Repair? Video: Matt Hardy Announces Retirement From WWE

That’s not delightful. Matt Hardy is one of the most interesting as well as successful names in the history of professional wrestling. He’s won more Tag Team Titles than he knows what to do with and has even had some singles success of his own. His Woken/Broken characters were some of the most creative things you’ll ever see and he was even allowed to bring that to WWE. But now, it might all be going away.
Goodbye?
[This post contains video, click to play]

In a new video posted to his YouTube page, Hardy said that he has wrestled his last match for WWE. Hardy wrestled in a triple threat tag match with Bray Wyatt against the B Team and Dolph Ziggler/Drew McIntyre for the Raw Tag Team Titles. Hardy has been dealing with some injuries of late and says that he is leaving to spend time with his wife and two children. There is no word on if he’ll be working for WWE in another capacity.
Opinion: I’m pretty skeptical on this as you never know with Hardy. I know he’s injured and banged up ..

Planning In Advance. Venue Possibly Spoils Tables Ladders And Chairs Match

Dude spoilers. In wrestling, you can often guess what kind of match you’re going to be seeing in the coming weeks. It’s not like matches are that hard to figure out, especially with how long WWE likes to stretch feuds out these days. Just looking at Sunday’s pay per view card should be enough to tell you what coming in the next few weeks and we might have something confirmed by a venue.
According to the venue’s official site, the SAP Center in San Jose, California is advertising the Shield vs. Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre in a six man tag for the Tables, Ladders And Chairs event on December 16. There is no word on whether or not the match will be the show’s namesake match. The match is also listed as card subject to change, as there is always a chance that it could be switched up.
Opinion: This isn’t exactly the biggest surprise in the world as the story was all building towards a big six man tag. It’s not like they could just put it in the Cell tonight or somethin..

Hell In A Cell 2018 Preview, Thoughts And Predictions

Contrary to what you may have seen on Monday Night Raw this week, the next major show won’t be taking place in Australia and men will indeed be wrestling on the card. This Sunday will see Hell In A Cell, featuring two matches inside the Cell and a bunch of other stuff that won’t be heavily featured as there’s only so much that can take place when we have the other two shows to build towards. Let’s get to it.
Kickoff Show: Smackdown Tag Team Titles: New Day (c) vs. Rusev Day Rusev Day won a (yet another) tournament to earn the title shot in a bit of a surprise. The team was a hot act in the spring but since WWE has to WWE, we’re finally getting somewhere between the two of them in the middle of September. New Day has held the titles for about a month now and since the division basically consists of four teams, it’s not like they have a bunch of competition.
I’ll go with New Day to retain, likely as Rusev Day implodes for good because WWE doesn’t want them together for whatever reason…

That’s A Scary Situation. Dean Ambrose Goes Into Details About Staph Infection And Second Surgery.

That’s a relief. Dean Ambrose is one of the true workhorses for WWE. He regularly tops the list of most matches in any given year and is almost never out of the ring due to injuries. That wasn’t the case this year as he missed about eight months due to a triceps injury. As it turns out there was a little more to it than that as Ambrose’s condition was a lot worse than originally thought.
In a new interview with the Monitor, Ambrose revealed that he also suffered a severe staph infection that was far more serious than expected. It led to him needing another surgery and extreme treatment for the condition, which caused him to move to Birmingham, Alabama for a few months. Ambrose goes into full details of the story and here are some highlights:
On The Staph Infection “It was just one nightmare after another. It was a pretty challenging period of time to go through. I ended up having two different surgeries. I had this MRSA, Staph infection. I nearly died. I was in the hospital for a wee..
