Here’s When Brock Lesnar is Expected To Wrestle Again

After Brock Lesnar retained the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 34, the WWE Universe didn’t know what to expect because the belief was he’d be leaving WWE after the event. With a new contract and Bobby Lashley’s return, the expectation is the two men will finally collide at Summerslam and that will be the changing of the guard. There are still three long months between now and the biggest party of the summer. It’s been confirmed that Lesnar won’t perform at Money in the Bank. The WWE Universe is wondering when Brock will get back into the ring, but most fans won’t like the answer. Related: Does Bobby Lashley’s Road Lead to Brock Lesnar? According to the Wrestling Observer Live, it’s possible Brock Lesnar won’t wrestle again until Extreme Rules in July or Summerslam. Given the fact that he’s not even wrestling at Money in the Bank, it’s fair to assume that Lesnar won’t defend the title until August. The expectation is Brock will be dropping the championship to Lashley, Ro..

How WWE Views Differences Between Chyna And Paige’s Adult Content

During Wrestling Observer Live, Dave Meltzer discussed how WWE views the Chyna and Paige videos available on the internet differently. During the live show, Meltzer explained in further detail why Chyna is still not being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, while Paige, who has had over an hour of adult footage and hundreds of pictures shared online is the current SmackDown Live General Manager. Bryan Alvarez continued the conversation, painting the picture rather clear for those confused about the differences: “Well, the answer is they’re two exceedingly different situations. Chyna did her’s willingly. Chyna went out and shot a porn tape. Paige had videos from her phone stolen and put on the internet. It’s totally different. One person was a victim and the other went out there and did it willingly.” The bottom line for WWE seems to be that Chyna willingly participated in porn films. Paige was a victim of a terrible online leak that still continues to this day. Paige discusses the ..

Shawn Michaels Is Set To Return To London’s Royal Albert Hall

WWE has confirmed via their official website that WWE Performance Center coach Shawn Michaels is set to return to London’s Albert Hall. When WWE returns to the Royal Albert Hall on June 18, Michaels will be accompanying them. Michaels famously worked in the first WWE match to be held at the hall back in 1991. Michaels and former Rockers tag team partner Marty Jannetty took on The Nasty Boys in the opening match of the Battle Royal at the Royal Albert Hall event. The show was streamed in the U.K. on Sky Movies and is available at this time on-demand in its entirety on the WWE Network, for those of you interested in watching that. Alongside Michaels, WWE’s Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events & Create and the force behind NXT, 205 Live and the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament in Triple H will be there. Triple H last appeared at the now 147-year-old venue back in October 1995 during the Full Metal Tour. This was also the most recent WWE event to be held in the build..

Update On Toni Storm Potentially Signing A WWE Contract

We have an update on independent star Toni Storm potentially signing with WWE via Dave Meltzer and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Storm famously took part in the Mae Young Classic last year, ultimately coming short. When she wasn’t signed to WWE after the tournament, many thought she’d never appear in a WWE ring again… but that may be about to change. Storm, a New Zealand native, appears to have signed with WWE. Her new deal is not for the next Mae Young Classic itself, but a U.K, deal similar to that of the U.K. Championship competitors. This contract means that Storm can compete with other promotions, but any time WWE calls for her to compete with them, they take priority. This is the same deal for other talents such as Pete Dunne, Trent Seven, Wolfgang, Tyler Bate and others. We noticed that Storm is listed on advertisements for the upcoming U.K. Championship Tournament, so we expect that she’ll be there in some fashion over the coming weeks. Now while we mention Storm hasn’..

Ryder has accomplished many things during his life. From becoming WWE Tag Team Champion to being a former Intercontinental and United States Champion. He has also become a well-known collector. Funko has released a documentary on Netflix. Titled “Making Fun: The Story of Funko,” Ryder is featured in two segments within the documentary, with other clips shown throughout. The WWE Unboxed host actually owns more than 500 Pop! figures alone, without including all the other geek memorabilia in his collector’s room. Ryder took to Twitter to mention his involvement in the film: #MakingFunTheMovie is now on @netflix! Check it out…you might even see me. ? Ok…you definitely will! @originalfunko pic.twitter.com/3uQcXHQo9J — Zack Ryder (@ZackRyder) May 24, 2018 If any reader has an interest in Funko or is a fan of Ryder, we sugge..

Here’s Why Stephanie McMahon Returned to Raw This Week

Despite being the commissioner on Monday Night Raw, Stephanie McMahon is rarely on WWE television and leaves the authority role to Kurt Angle for most of the year. It was a surprise when she arrived this week on the show to participate in multiple segments. Specifically, she hosted the contract signing for the upcoming Raw Women’s Title Match between Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey. A lot of fans took note that Stephanie was doing all the talking. There’s a good reason why WWE officials brought her back for the segment. Related: Stephanie McMahon on Ronda Rousey in WWE, Getting Bullied According to a report from RingSideNews, Stephanie McMahon carried the segment on the microphone because WWE officials didn’t believe Jax and Rousey could handle the mic work themselves. Neither Nia nor Ronda are great at cutting promos, so it makes a lot of sense for Stephanie to cover them and also make the feud seem more important. The company is doing everything in its power to present Ronda Rousey in t..

Ring of Honor TV Results – May 23, 2018

Ring of Honor Date: May 23, 2018 Location: Stage AE, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman We’re still on the way to Best in the World and I’m not sure where things go on the way there. Several people want the World Title and two of them are in action tonight as Jay Lethal faces Punishment Martinez in what could be an interesting match. We’re also likely getting some more on Bully Ray’s heel turn which has had me agreeing with him the entire way so far. Let’s get to it. Here are last week’s results if you need a recap. Opening sequence. Jay Lethal vs. Punishment Martinez Both guys say they’ll win on the way to the ring. Martinez goes right after him to start but gets clotheslined to the floor. That means the triple suicide dives into the barricade….but Jay goes INSANE by making it seven straight as Coleman is losing his mind. Lethal starts in on the knee but gets kicked away as we take a break. Back with Lethal still on the leg ..

Real Reason Why Lana is Getting Another Big Push Revealed

On SmackDown Live this week, The Ravishing Russian defeated Billie Kay to qualify for the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match at the upcoming PPV. Some people aren’t thrilled with Lana winning after only two moves, but there are some bigger questions. The WWE Universe knows that she’s training to improve her in-ring work, but a ladder match is a lot to handle even for the most experienced wrestlers. With Lana’s lack of in-ring experience, a lot of people are wondering why she has secured a spot in the match. Related: Backstage Plans for Lana and Her Role on “Smackdown Live” According to a new report from RingSideNews, the push she’s receiving has to do with the success of “Rusev Day.” The Ravishing Russian has always been over with the WWE Universe. Her association with Rusev will easily transfer onto her despite little time on television. Aiden English acting as a valet for her also gives the fans a reason to cheer. It’s unlikely she will actually win the briefcase at Money in ..

Video: Four Rivalries We Wished Happened

What could have been. If you’re any kind of a wrestling fan, you can probably list off some of the all time best rivalries in history. There have been some great rivalries over the years which have produced some incredible matches and moments. If there’s one thing more fun than talking about the great rivalries that did happen, it’s talking about great rivalries that didn’t happen. There may be even more “what ifs” than “already did” rivalries and of course they’re worth checking out. Did your pick make the list? Check out WWE’s choices. [This post contains video, click to play] WWE has released a new video looking at four rivalries that they wanted to see happen. These rivalries are ones that conceivably could have happened, at least in the short term. Several of them almost did happen and more than one of the combinations did have matches or at least interact in the ring at some point. The majority of these are modern choices but a fair number of the wrestle..

New Book: NXT The Full Sail Years Volume III: From Dallas To New Orleans

What more is there to say about NXT? The promotion, which started off as nothing more than a developmental territory to build up some of WWE’s stars, has taken on a life of its own. There have been more classic matches, more stars made and more great moments there than anywhere else in recent wrestling memory. In this book, I’ll be breaking down over one hundred more episodes of NXT plus ten live specials, ranging from the first show after Takeover: Dallas through Takeover: New Orleans. I’ll also be breaking each one down match by match and segment by segment. Included will be analysis and ratings for the shows to see what worked and what didn’t. The book runs about 450 pages and is available on Amazon both in a physical paperback for $11.99 or an e-book format (which has ALSO been updated) for $2.99. In case you don’t have a Kindle, there are plenty of FREE apps you can get from Amazon for pretty much any electronic device, all of which are available at this link. You can pick up t..

Bobby Fulton On Roman Reigns: “Get Rid Of Him Or Turn Him Heel. It’s Plain And Simple!”

Well-known wrestler “Fantastic” Bobby Fulton was interviewed by James Walsh on Interactive Wrestling Radio where he explained why Roman Reigns should be fired from WWE. On deciding to call it a career and retire: “I was actually going to retire last year in November. The reason I decided it was time to jump off is I’ve still got pretty good health and I’d like to keep it that way. I’m 57 years old. When I get in that ring, I want to give it my all. The thing of it is, 40 years is good. It was a dream of mine as a kid. I spoke to an elementary school today. Yeah, I told those kids if they have a dream and a desire and a passion than they can accomplish those dreams. I mean that. Yeah, I want to tell every child that. I had a chance to live a dream. Not only that, sir, but I got a chance to go further than I ever thought that I could.” On being paired with Tommy Rogers for the “Fantastics” team: “Well, Tommy and I met in Memphis, TN for Jerry Jarrett’s company. He was a singles wrestler..

Impact Star Caleb Konley Reveals His Insane Methods To Watch The Show Growing Up

Impact Wrestling Superstar Caleb Konley was interviewed by James Walsh on Interactive Wrestling Radio where he revealed a number of insane methods he used to watch the product when he went to school. On being paired with Trevor Lee as the Cult of Lee: “Well, Trevor is from about 2 hours away from where I live in Charlotte. I’ve known him since he was about 16 years old. We’re both from the same area, we’re both second generation guys. We’re both tired of the bullcrap that comes along on the indies and on Impact. Some guys want to go out there and be fancy and do all the flips and all the cool spots. We’re just going out there to bash heads and we’re going to talk crap to you while we do it!” On changing his look to fit the Cult of Lee persona: “It didn’t take much! Just stop shaving, basically! (laughs)” On the Cult of Lee’s feud with LAX: “Feud is a good way to put it! I like wrestling those guys. They bring out the best of me and Trevor. But, at the same time, we clash. We are oil ..

AJ Styles Building his WWE Story in Feud with Nakamura

AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura are headed to WWE Money in the Bank on Sunday, June 17. The two men will square off for Styles’ WWE Championship, in a feud that has only gotten better over time. While some fans have complained that there seems to be no end in sight, the truth is that AJ and Nakamura are in the midst of telling a very compelling story in WWE. This is what championship rivalries are all about. Everyone knew that AJ Styles was one of the best in the world. It was never really up for debate. But the longer his run in WWE continues the more fans see just how good he really is. Of course important rivalries are paramount to building a guy’s reputation and Styles is no different. When he came to WWE in 2016, he was paired with Chris Jericho. Their partnership soon lead to betrayal and the two became bitter enemies. This feud introduced AJ to the WWE mainstream and was important to his career because it allowed him to gain a foothold in the company. That foothold led him to ..

WrestleMania 35 May Be The Longest In The Event’s History

If Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is to be believed, WrestleMania 35 may be the longest WrestleMania show in history. Meltzer is reporting that WrestleMania 35 is slated to start at 5:30 P.M. EST. This would likely follow a pre-show that lasts two hours, we assume. Meltzer claims that the current plan for the show would mean WrestleMania won’t wrap up at 11 P.M. as expected by many. Rather, it may continue through the night into the early hours of the morning. WWE is perfectly fine to do this for a number of reasons. As we’ve reported this week, WWE is changing the lengths of their PPVs and have informed international partners of this. Additionally, the show will primarily be watched on the WWE Network. This means unlike with Raw or SmackDown, WWE has no limit to how long their content is. Depending on how you look at it, WrestleMania could very well exceed 6 or 7 hours, potentially even excluding the two-hour pre-show that the event will have. The one big, obvio..

Could Vince McMahon Now Be Richer Than His Longtime Rival?

Ringside News is reporting that Vince McMahon may now actually be richer than his well-known longtime rival. McMahon has been in the wrestling business the majority of his life. In many ways, he took on his father’s work, and now his own family continues his legacy as the WWE Chairman is now in his older years. Throughout his life, McMahon had a bittersweet relationship with former WCW owner Ted Turner. In fact, the two were rivals even before WCW was created. Throughout their lives, it was very commonly known that Turner was wealthier than McMahon, despite both men having a ridiculous value to their names. As of 2018, Turner has a net worth of approximately 2.2 billion USD. This is a tremendous amount- something many people only hope to ever achieve. Meanwhile, the recent SmackDown FOX deal has risen McMahon’s value. He is now worth 2.5 billion USD, according to Forbes. Check out McMahon famously revealing the purchase of WCW below: [This post contains video, click to play] Fol..

Popular Independent Wrestler Is Now An Actual Doctor

One of the most popular female wrestlers on the independent circuit has now just become a doctor, according to Ringside News. Independent wrestler Britt Baker is no stranger to the WWE world. In fact, her boyfriend in Adam Cole is the current North American Champion within the yellow brand, as his partners hold the NXT Tag Team Championship. Baker, who is scheduled for The Bullet Club’s All In show later this year, has now achieved yet another milestone in her growing career. Baker has graduated from her school and is now a dentist. While she will remain an active wrestler for the foreseeable future, it is nice to know she always has a backup plan in case she ever had to retire from in-ring competition. Check out what she had to say about graduating on Twitter: So thankful for this guy for being my best friend, my love, and my rock throughout these last months of dental school. I can only hope to make him half as proud as he makes me. ?? @adamcolepro pic.twitter.com/SxUTLwYNSx — Br..

Update On United Kingdom Promotions Possibly Coming To WWE Network

There’s more than enough room. The WWE Network has been an amazing gift to wrestling fans. Starting just over four years ago, the WWE Network is now the go to place for the most wrestling content in the world, including the majority of WWE’s material from history and hosts of other promotions’ video libraries. However, there’s other wrestling in the world to be seen, so what can they do? Well how about coming under the WWE umbrella? According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is a strong chance that Insane Championship Wrestling (a Scottish promotion) and Progress Wrestling (a British promotion) will be brought to the WWE Network in the near future. This idea has been considered for a long time now but Vince McMahon reportedly changed his mind again and allowed the idea. While no date has been confirmed, there is a chance that the announcement could come as soon as the United Kingdom Championship Tournament events in London next month. WWE and Progress worked together for th..
