Here’s What Happened After AEW Double Or Nothing

We aren’t done yet. This weekend saw one of the biggest non-WWE pay per views of the year with AEW’s Double Or Nothing. The show featured nine matches, capped off by the huge Stadium Stampede main event. The match saw the Inner Circle survive over the Pinnacle, but it turns out that the night was not over yet. Something else happened later and it was quite nice.
According to PWInsider.com, after Double Or Nothing went off the air, Chris Jericho thanked the fans for their “AEW” chants and for everyone who helped make Stadium Stampede a success two years in a row. Jericho also thanked the city of Jacksonville, which prompted a “DUVAL” chant, after the county Jacksonville is located in. Sammy Guevara and Jericho thanked the fans for selling out the event to end the night.
The main event was a heck of a battle. Check out how the whole thing went:

Opinion: I can’t say I blame Jericho and company for being excited about what happened at the show..

Wrestling Fans Begin Movement To Bring WWE Star Back To Television

Let the people speak. Wrestling can be a complicated industry but ultimately it comes down to one thing: giving the fans something that they want to see. This sounds easier than it really is, but sometimes the fans can give you one heck of a hint. It can make things a lot better, though the promotion has to listen. That seems to be the case again, as some fans have made something clear.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, a movement on Twitter to bring Mia Yim back to WWE television has begun in recent days. Using the hashtag “WeWantMiaYim”, fans have started asking WWE to allow Yim back on television. Yim, also known as Reckoning during her time in Retribution, has not wrestled on WWE television since the December 31 edition of Main Event. There is no word on why she has not appeared or when she might return.
100% behind the #WeWantMiaYim movement, the HBIC‘s talent and voice is sorely needed! @MiaYim was one of the best women in #WWENXT, dynamic, strong and fierce as hell. She deserves ..

WATCH: Surprise Cameos Take Place During AEW Stadium Stampede

I remember you. Every now and then, you see a wrestling match which is not quite like the others. There is some kind of big twist or change that makes it feel like nothing else you have seen in a long time. That may or may not be the best move, but it certainly makes things memorable. Such a match took place this weekend and it included a few guest appearances.
This weekend, All Elite Wrestling presented its second annual Stadium Stampede match, featuring two teams fighting throughout TIAA Bank Field. The match went all over the stadium and featured a handful of cameos. First, Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Chris Jericho brawled into an office where Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer and assistant coach Charlie Strong were working on plays. Strong tossed Jericho some footballs to throw at Friedman and Meyer was taken aback by Jericho throwing Friedman over a flight of stairs.
Later, Santana and Ortiz and FTR brawled in a bad inside the stadium. As they fought, the DJ played some..

How WWE Wrestlers Like Their WrestleMania

Double up? WrestleMania has been the biggest wrestling event in the world for a very long time now and there is little reason to believe that it is going to change. Above all else, the show has been the most important night of the wrestling year since 1985. However, the last two editions have been split over two different nights. So how did the wrestlers feel about that idea?
According to Fightful Select, several WWE wrestlers prefer the two night format for WrestleMania as opposed to the one night version. One of the biggest reasons was the lack of the crowd being burned out, which was the case at the end of WrestleMania 35 at the end of its seven and a half hour run time. WWE’s current plan is to run next year’s WrestleMania 38 over one night instead of two, though the plan could still change.
WrestleMania 36 and WrestleMania 37 were held over two nights, with the former in the empty Performance Center and the latter being in the reduced capacity Raymond James Stadium. WrestleMania..

VIDEO: WWE Hall Of Famer Makes AEW Debut

Nice to see you again. Like several other mainstream sports, some retired wrestlers find something else to do in the industry after their active days are over. Some might work behind the scenes and some might go into coaching, but others become broadcasters to try and bridge the gap between wrestlers and fans. Now another legend is doing just that in a new company.
During this weekend’s All Elite Wrestling Double Or Nothing, Tony Schiavone introduced WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry as the company’s newest analyst. Henry was announced as the new analyst for the upcoming Rampage series, which premieres in August. While Henry did not speak on this show, he will be speaking on this week’s edition of Dynamite. Henry last appeared for WWE on the January 4, 2021 Monday Night Raw after nearly twenty five years with the company.
Henry has quite the history. Check out what is coming to AEW:

AEW Double Or Nothing 2021 Results

Double Or Nothing 2021
Date: May 30, 2021
Location: Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, Florida
Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross, Excalibur
We return to pay per view and that is a nice feeling to have. The card is absolutely stacked and one of the biggest that AEW has had in recent or even long term memory. Possibly the most important story here is the fact that the fans are back in full capacity, meaning it will be even more energized than usual. Let’s get to it.
Buy-In Show: NWA Women’s Title: Riho vs. Serena Deeb Deeb is defending and cranks on a headlock to start. That doesn’t last long as Riho bridges up and offers a handshake. Deeb slaps her in the face instead so Riho knocks her into the corner, setting up a high crossbody. Back up and the Serenity Lock is blocked so Deeb dragon screw legwhips her into the corner. The leg cranking begins before Deeb is sent out to the apron.
Riho charges into a choke, setting up an inverted Gory Special for a pretty cool visual. With that brok..

Title Change Takes Place At AEW Double Or Nothing

That’s how you make history. Titles can be a huge deal in a wrestler’s career as they can validate that someone has moved up to the next level. Even if a wrestler is pretty clearly already on the next level, it can mean a lot to officially see them crowned as the next star of the division. That was the case on Sunday night, with a title change a long time in the making.
Britt Baker won the AEW Women’s Title at AEW Double Or Nothing, becoming the champion for the first time in her career. Baker defeated Hikaru Shida via submission with the Lockjaw to win the title. The win makes Baker the fourth champion in the title’s history and ends Shida’s record long reign at 372 days. This was Baker’s first ever singles shot at the title.
It was a long time coming. Check out how Baker got here:

Former WWE Star Makes AEW Debut At Double Or Nothing

That was a surprise. Just about two years ago, All Elite Wrestling held their first event with Double Or Nothing. The event has become their signature show and already has some traditions of its own. One of those is the Casino Battle Royal, which can feature a surprise entrant. That was the case again this year, as a former champion in WWE made their debut.
Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush made his AEW debut during the Casino Battle Royal at AEW Double Or Nothing. Rush was the final entrant as the Joker but was eliminated from the match by Matt Hardy. Rush has been wrestling in Major League Wrestling and it is not clear if he has signed a long term deal with AEW. Jungle Boy won the match, earning a future AEW World Title shot.
You might remember Rush. Check out some of his work in the ring:

AEW Double Or Nothing 2021 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

I always get a bit excited for an AEW pay per view because they have earned the reputation of putting on good shows. Aside from their misfire with the exploding ring fiasco at Full Gear, AEW has not had a truly bad pay per view or even that many bad pay per view moments in their history. They are getting another chance to keep that record strong and hopefully they can pull it off. Let’s get to it
Buy-In: NWA Women’s Title: Serena Deeb(c) vs. Riho There is a bit of history here as Riho beat Deeb in the #1 contenders tournament a few months back. The title has been kind of a weird addition to AEW as it only pops in every so often and there are rarely any interesting stories involved. Riho has not been around so often lately, but she is always presented as one of the bigger stars in the company. Deeb is awesome at what she does though and now gets the chance to showcase herself.
I’ll take Deeb to retain here as it is almost hard to fathom the NWA title changing hands on an AEW show. Thi..

Former WWE Champion Returning On Monday Night Raw

Welcome back. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be hard to keep track of everyone from time to time. On occasion, you will see some of those wrestlers step away for one reason or another, but it rarely means that they are going to be gone for good. That is the case again on Monday Night Raw, as a star is going to be making his return next week.
WWE has confirmed that the Miz will be returning to television on next week’s Monday Night Raw as part of MizTV, with special guests Rhea Ripley and Charlotte. This will be Miz’s first appearance since WrestleMania Backlash, when he and Damian Priest had to fight off a horde of zombies during the match. Following his loss, Miz was attacked by the zombies and has not been seen since.
It is not clear when Miz will be wrestling again, as he reportedly suffered a torn ACL during the match. There have been conflicting reports over the severity of the injury, as a partial tear could mean Miz is only out for several weeks as opposed to..
