WWE Has Upgraded The WrestleMania 38 Main Event

That’s a big one. WrestleMania is the biggest wrestling show of the year and there are only so many ways to draw in that big of an audience. This year’s edition is going to be even harder than usual, as WWE will be holding the show at AT&T Stadium at Arlington, Texas. That means there will be around 100,000 tickets for sale on back to back nights, so WWE is going to need something bigger. Now we know what one of those things will be.

One of the matches already announced for WrestleMania 38 is a champion vs. champion match between Universal Champion Roman Reigns and WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. On Friday, WWE has also announced that the match will be a unification match, meaning that one of the titles will be going away. This will mark the first time that there has been one World Title in WWE since 2016.

Opinion: I was hoping that this wouldn’t happen but ultimately I am not surprised that this is going to be the case. Having one World Champion who bounces back and forth between the two shows is not usually the most interesting situation but maybe WWE feels that it is time to move back in that direction. Hopefully WWE gets it right, but I’m not sure I believe this is going to stick around forever.

What do you think of the idea? Who will leave with both titles? Let us know in the comments below.
