As reported by F4WOnline, Kim came out Monday during the TV tapings at the Impact Zone to address the Impact Orlando crowd. During her promo, Kim told fans that while she would be returning to the ring once medically cleared, she would hang up her boots at the end of the year. Kim has not wrestled since October 2016 after suffering a back injury, forcing her to vacate the Knockouts Championship.

Gail Kim’s Accomplishments

During her career, Kim, 40, won the Knockouts Championship a record six times for a combined 710 days. Kim is also a former Knockouts Tag Team Champion with Madison Rayne. In 2015, Kim helped Team Hardy win the TNA World Cup. In 2016, Kim became the first Knockout inducted into the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame. She also won the WWE Women’s Championship in 2003.

Tommaso Ciampa Out of Action Until Next Year

It doesn’t look like Tommaso Ciampa will be returning to action anytime this year.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Ciampa is expected to be out of action until early 2018. The Medical exam given to WWE indicates that he will be out of action until March 2018.

Ciampa was last seen on WWE television on the May 31st episode of NXT when he explained why he turned on Johnny Gargano at Takeover: Chicago. It was reported by PWInsider that he suffered a torn ACL.

WWE Changes Plans for SummerSlam Main Event

As previously reported, SummerSlam was expected to be headlined by Braun Strowman vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title this year. Those plans have changed and WWE has decided to go a different direction, according to the Wrestling Observer.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Lesnar vs. Strowman is not the plan anymore. Meltzer mentioned that Lesnar will defend his WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns or Samoa Joe at SummerSlam instead of Strowman.

If WWE decides to book Reigns against Lesnar at SummerSlam, it’s expected that Roman will carry the championship all the way until WrestleMania 34, where he would then defend it against the “free agent” John Cena. This could be one of the reasons as to why Cena is now working both RAW and SmackDown Live shows.

Vince Russo’s The Brand Recap – Discussing his Restraining Order Against Jim Cornette, Will he Press Charges? More!

Russo was avoiding this discussion and he had no intention of talking about this on his show, but after multiple false reports from wrestling ‘journalists’, he thought he had to clear the air and get the true story out there once and for all.

Speaking about the wrestling ‘journalists’, he points out that not one of them reached out to him to get the actual story after this news broke. Instead, they all took the news and gave their own biased spin on it, which is the polar opposite of respectable journalism. This proved the point that he’s been saying for years, that if you’re paying for the opinions of these guys, you’re wasting your money.

Getting into the heart of the situation, Russo says that he has been ridiculed by Jim Cornette for over two decades. It has been a constant battle between him and Cornette, but in the past couple of weeks Cornette took things to an entirely new level by threatening violence on him and his family.

He says that he only lives roughly two hours from Cornette now, and his wife is often home alone. She was quite upset after Cornette’s recent rant, and Russo felt it was necessary to take matters into his own hands by getting this Order of Protection. Hopefully this allows his wife to relax, and keeps Cornette out of their business for the foreseeable future.
