WWE Legend Vader Announces Retirement from Pro Wrestling

WWE Legend Vader announced his retirement from professional wrestling over the weekend on Twitter.

Vader’s last match was in a six-man tag with Keiji Muto & AKIRA against Fujinami, Riki Choshu & Shiro Koshinaka at Korakuen Hall in Japan back in April. Vader passed out after the bout due to an apparent head injury he suffered during the bout.

As previously noted, Vader indicated last November he only had two years to live due to suffering from congestive heart failure. He has been lobbying for a WWE Hall of Fame induction before he passes.

Cody Rhodes Done with Impact Wrestling

Cody Rhodes’ wife Brandy confirmed on Twitter that Cody Rhodes is no longer working with Impact Wrestling. She noted that his dates with the company were complete when a fan asked why he hasn’t bee appearing on television for the company lately.

Cody is working the independent circuit and has an opportunity at the ROH title. He also will be working with NJPW and will be apart of their US expansion.

John Cena Teases WWE Return

John Cena, who is off doing non-WWE projects, indicated on Twitter that he will be returning to the company soon:

Tajiri Officially Announces Departure from WWE

Yoshihiro Tajiri took to his Twitter account to announce that he is officially done with WWE. He wrote, “It ended a contract with WWE. Free to move from tomorrow.”

Tajiri was brought back to the company for last year’s Cruiserweight Classic. There were plans for him to feud with Brian Kendrick on 205 Live but he was sidelined with an injury and hasn’t been used since. Here is footage from his last appearance:

Gunner Teases Signing with WWE

Former Impact wrestler mentioned on Twitter that he almost “hung it up” but teased that it’s now “time to TakeOver.” This has led to online speculation that he may have signed with WWE.

It’s worth noting that at last word, Gunner was on WWE’s radar. The belief was that if he passed a WWE physical, the company would probably sign him to deal. We will keep you updated on his status.
