Cameron Reveals How WWE Went About Firing Her from the Company

Former WWE Superstar Cameron took to her YouTube Channel to discuss her release from WWE and the time leading up to it:

“For the people who don’t know, I wasn’t happy with my position in WWE. I was coming to ‘TVs’ and I just wasn’t doing anything. I know that I didn’t have the best in-ring skills, because I was brought up early. I’m really honest about that, I can keep it one-thousand percent. I wanted to go back down to NXT. I’m like ‘I know this may mean I might lose my spot. I know this may get me fired,’ but I rather walk away knowing that I did everything I possibly can, than nothing at all and I walk away with regret.”

Cameron then talked about how she found out she was getting released:

“I get this ‘ding’ [on my phone] and Mark [Carrano, WWE Senior Director of Talent Relations] says ‘Can you call me?’ And I just knew, so I called him and he told me. It was shocking, but at the same time, that’s just where we were. I’d given my all and things just weren’t progress, so, it hit me, and I thanked him for my time. This is one experience I’m never ever going to forget, unfortunately, it’s not a fairy tale ending.”

She also commented on if the release correlated with her going after fans on social media:

“To this day, I still don’t know if it’s partially because when I stirred up all the stuff with [the] IWC. That was one of my tactics, to try and get stuff stirring to potentially have a storyline and I never asked, I never asked. I didn’t want to know, because at that point what was done, was done. I never know to this day if it was that, mixed with everything that was already going on and my position with the company.”

Reason Why No Way Jose Hasn’t Been Used on NXT Television

During the mailbag segment of today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked about No Way Jose’s absence from NXT programming and why he hasn’t been appearing on television lately.

Meltzer said that the reason that the company hasn’t been featuring Jose on television is because they really don’t have a television program for him to work at this time. Once they have a program for him, the feeling is that he will be brought back. In the mean time, Jose will be working NXT Live Events, like he has been.

Original Plans Revealed for SAnitY

While speaking on the Pancakes and Powerslams podcast, former NXT Superstar Marcus Louis revealed that he was originally planned to take the leadership role in the SAnitY faction.

“Initially, SAniTy was supposed to be Sami Callahan, myself, and Sawyer Fulton. [We] were the the three people who were supposed to be SAniTy at first. I was told about this idea in late 2015. It was September 2015, I think, I was told by Triple H himself. He came [and said], ‘I have this great idea for you guys. We’re gonna bring you in as a trio of sort of like punk-looking people, sort of like Mad Max.’ And then it was supposed to be Crowe, myself, and Fulton. But he was like long-term, and it was a long shot already. So Callahan left NXT, and then there was a different talk. They were talking about bringing in somebody new to be the leader of this faction.”

Does AJ Styles Like His Entrance Theme Song?

While speaking with Kenny McIntosh, AJ Styles was asked about his current entrance theme song and if he liked it. He made the following remarks about it:

“I gotta be honest, when I told them kind of what I was looking for, cause as much I’m from the southern part of the United States, I’m not that much of a country music fan. Do I like it? Sure. But not that much. So I was like ‘Alright, just that little bit of country, but I love rap. So we’re gonna have to find a way with a cool beat.’ And they found a way to make it work for me. I don’t know that they had made that song specifically for me because I think it was made in NXT. But I think it fit me like a glove. Now I can’t imagine any other music I’d walk out to. It’s great man, I can’t say enough good things about it. It worked. I don’t know how or why it just did. I’m very happy with it.”
