Sasha Banks Appearing At Wrestle Kingdom 17

The Boss is heading overseas. According to a report from PWInsider, Sasha Banks is expected to appear at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 17 event next month. It is unknown in what capacity she will be used, if at all, during the show. Banks has not wrestled since she and Naomi walked out on WWE before the May 16 episode of Raw. Both women were upset about the creative direction of their characters, and were subsequently stripped of the Women’s Tag Team Championships. From the report: Back in October, Varnado teased the idea of wrestling former WWE star KAIRI in STARDOM, which shares the same corporate owner as NJPW and recently did a crossover event with NJPW. In addition to everything that takes place in the ring and on the microphone, there is also the physical aspect. Last weekend at WWE Crown Jewel, Alexa Bliss and Asuka lost the Women’s Tag Team Titles to Damage Ctrl. They were talking. WWE has long since been the biggest and most powerful wrestling promotion in the world and that is not likely to change anytime soon. However, for the first time in decades, a well funded promotion has risen up to be the second biggest company and shares some of that big stage. AEW has taken the secondary spot along with some former WWE stars. It seems that they had even tried to pick up another. According to Fightful Select, AEW and former WWE star Paige had some conversations about potentially working together in some capacity. There is nothing to suggest that they reached an agreement, though it is possible that something could change in the future. Paige has retired from the ring due to a series of neck injuries, though she has said that she could wrestle again in a special moment. There’s a new rule. Over the last few weeks, WWE has been shaken up in ways that it never has been before. The main change has been due to Vince McMahon retiring from the company, which has certainly changed the way the company works. There are going to be ripple effects, and now we know how the departure has directly impacted the company’s employees. According to Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston and independently confirmed by PWInsider.com, WWE employees are banned from buying or selling shares of stock in the company until further notice. There is no word on why the company decided to make the change. WWE employees occasionally receive stock as part of their compensation, and it is not clear if that practice is suspended as well. AEW Star Reportedly Arrested Over Domestic Violence Charges

According to PWInsider.com, AEW’s Jake Atlas has been arrested and reportedly charged with domestic assault. Atlas had called his partner to pick him up at a bar before suggesting that the two go to a third person’s home. This resulted in an argument when Atlas’ partner paid more attention to the third person involved than Atlas. Eventually Atlas was taken back to the apartment he shares with his partner, who attempted to leave. Atlas reportedly attacked him and scratched his partner’s arm and tore his shirt. They made some money. While it might be easy to forget at times, WWE is ultimately a business, meaning the point is to make as much money as possible. If the company makes more money, the owners are happier with what is going on.
