AEW Rampage Results – March 10, 2023

Rampage Date: March 10, 2023 Location: Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, California Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, Chris Jericho, Jim Ross We’re still in California and it’s the fallout Rampage from Revolution. I’m not sure what that is going to mean as you never know what you are going to get on this show. One of the bigger matches announced is Konosuke Takeshita vs. Preston Vance in a match Takeshita could actually win. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Sammy Guevara vs. Action Andretti Guevara is more than a bit cocky to start so Andretti takes him down and starts hammering away. Andretti sends him outside and into the steps, setting up a dropkick and moonsault for two back inside. They head outside again with Guevara getting the better of things for a change. Back up and Andretti sends him outside again for a dive and we take a break. We come back with a midair collision leaving both of them down. They slug it out with Andretti hitting a backbreaker into a neckbreaker to ..

Get Your Bids In: AEW Star’s Contract Reportedly Up Soon, WWE Interested

The battle continues. AEW coming into the wrestling world has changed the industry as there is now a new place for various stars to go. This also means that there are going to be stars who are going to be pursued by both companies. It can lead to some wrestlers moving around in one way or another, and now an AEW star seems to be at least interested in jumping ship. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Wardlow Reveals The TNT Title Has Been Stolen (Along With The Rest Of His Stuff) According to Fightful Select, Brian Cage’s deal with AEW is expiring soon but the two sides have agreed to work with each other through the end of March. This will include Ring Of Honor’s Supercard of Honor, as Cage is one third of the Ring Of Honor Six Man Tag Team Champions. There is still a chance of the two sides coming to terms on an extension, with names such as Chris Jericho hoping to keep Cage in the company. WWE is said to be interested in signing Cage as well, though there is no word on where Cage is lea..

WATCH: Wardlow Reveals The TNT Title Has Been Stolen (Along With The Rest Of His Stuff)

w Unfortunately bad things can happen occasionally, and that is the case again for an AEW star. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: And Done: AEW Stable Officially Disbands On Sunday at AEW Revolution, Wardlow defeated Samoa Joe to regain the TNT Title. This week, Wardlow posted a video to Twitter, revealing that someone broke into his rental car and stole his bags. These bags contained all of his wrestling gear, from his attire to his boots to the TNT Title itself. There is no word on if AEW has another version of the belt. This is the second time that an AEW title was stolen, as the World Title belt was stolen during Chris Jericho’s reign. It was eventually returned by someone who found it elsewhere. That was rough. Check out Wardlow’s announcement and the TNT Title being defended: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: Dang that’s awful, as Wardlow committed the heinous act of leaving his possessions locked up. It’s a shame that this ..

AEW Rampage Results – March 3, 2023

Rampage Date: March 3, 2023 Location: Cow Palace, San Francisco, California Commentators: Chris Jericho, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross It’s the final show before Revolution and that means this week is live. Normally I would say a pay per view card is set two days before the show but AEW has a tendency to throw in a bunch of stuff at the last minute. This week will also see Dustin Rhodes/Keith Lee vs. Mogul Affiliates so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Aussie Open vs. Claudio Castagnoli/Wheeler Yuta vs. Top Flight vs. Dark Order The Dark Order jumps Castagnoli/Yuta in the aisle to start but Top Flight dives onto all four of them. Aussie Open drives Top Flight together as JR talks about needing to win to get a pay per view pay day. Ross: “Am I right about that?” And he is completely ignored, as that doesn’t seem to be right. We get inside for the bell with Top Flight dropkicking Aussie Open with Davis being knocked to the floor. Reynolds comes in and hits a running elbow on ..

Let’s say the two teams are the Browns(+150) and the Steelers(-110). The +150 means you’ll win $150 if you place a $100 bet and the Browns win. The -110 means you’ll need to bet $110 to get a $100 payout if the Steelers win. Editor’s Opinion: So, The Elite, J..

AEW Rampage Results – February 24, 2023

Rampage Date: February 24, 2023 Location: Footprint Center, Phoenix, Arizona Commentators: Jim Ross, Chris Jericho, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone We’re still in the desert and Rampage is still searching for a more viable formula. I’m not sure why AEW seems to punt on this show so often but it does produce some enjoyable results. If you can get by without the star power after the first match, you should be in for a fun one and hopefully that is true this week. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Aussie Open vs. Young Bucks Kenny Omega is here with the Bucks. The Aussies deck the Bucks to start and isolate Matt for a kick to the chest and backsplash. Matt manages to backflip away from both of them and brings in Nick to walk the ropes into a wristdrag/headscissors combination. The Bucks clear the ring but the bigger Davis comes back in to slam them both at the same time. Nick’s pop up dropkick sends Davis to the floor though and Matt grabs a running flipping neckbreaker to send Fletcher int..

It Grows: Two Big Matches Added To AEW Revolution

They needed to do that. We are less than two weeks away from AEW Revolution and that is going to be a big night. AEW only runs four regular pay per view events in any given year so they have to make the most they can out of every show. The company knows how to stack their cards with a bunch of big matches and they moved closer to doing that this week, with more matches being added. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He Did It: Jon Moxley Is First To Reach Major AEW Milestone Two more matches were added to the Revolution card during this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. First, Ricky Starks issued an open contract for a match at Revolution and talked Chris Jericho into facing him in a rematch. Jericho also agreed that the Jericho Appreciation Society will be banned from ringside. Second, AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter agreed to defend her title in a three way match against Saraya and Ruby Soho, both of whom have wanted title shots. There is no word on how many more matches will be added to the s..

Therefore the show is call Slam Dunk as AEW stacks the card because it might be able to draw a good bit more fans this week. Hopefully that is the case as Rampage hasn’t felt important in a few weeks now. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Trios Titles: Elite vs. AR Fox/Top Flight The Elite is defending and since this is Slam Dunk, there are a lot basketballs as props. Dante and Nick start things off by throwing a basketball at each other. Nick hits Matt in the face with the ball by mistake though and the champs are kicked out to the floor early on. Fox dives onto all of them in a pair of dives and then adds a third with a basketball. Back in and Omega grabs a headlock before running Fox over with a shoulder. The basketball comes back in and ..

RUMOR KILLER On Mercedes Mone’s New Japan Payday

She’s worth it? One of the bigger moments of the wrestling year so far was the debut of Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks during her time in WWE, in New Japan Pro Wrestling. This was Mone’s first wrestling appearance in about seven months after walking out on WWE. It was a big acquisition for New Japan but now we know a little something else about the appearance. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: That’s Special: Bayley And Becky Lynch Receive Special Honor From WWE Before Mone’s January 4 debut, a rumor circulate that she would make more money per appearance than Chris Jericho during his most recent New Japan run. Jericho refuted the claim, saying that he was never given a guaranteed amount per appearance and was paid according to the show’s revenue. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the rumor, which has begun circulating again, is inaccurate, as Mone is not making as much as Jericho. She is also not making as much as she could make with WWE or AEW, but is working New J..

Rampage Date: February 10, 2023 Location: County Coliseum, El Paso, Texas Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Chris Jericho We are still in Texas with less than a month to go before Revolution. That should make for a few interesting weeks but this week’s lineup doesn’t exactly offer much in the way of hope. The Blackpool Combat Club is here though and that is one of the better things Rampage could do. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Blackpool Combat Club vs. Butcher and the Blade/Kip Sabian Sabian drives Yuta into the corner to start but a sunset flip gets Yuta out of trouble. Yuta is sent outside and Castagnoli comes in, with Butcher getting to come in as well for the power staredown. They yell at each other and slug it out, with both of them staggering. Moxley and then Yuta come in to take turns on Butcher as Jericho talks about the Impractical Jokers cast stealing his baseball bat. AEW Rampage Results – February 3, 2023

Rampage Date: February 3, 2023 Location: Nutter Center, Dayton, Ohio Commentators: Chris Jericho, Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Excalibur Rampage continues to be a bit all over the place as you know most of the card/lineup in advance but it still feels like a show that could go in a bunch of different directions. That could be the case again this week as there is some star power with the Elite around to defend the Trios Titles. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Trios Titles: Elite vs. Isiah Kassidy/Matt Hardy/Ethan Page The Elite is defending and for the sake of simplicity, Matt Hardy will be referred to as Hardy and Matt Jackson will be referred to as Matt. Nick Jackson and Kassidy trade some flips and takedowns to start before Matt comes in to take over. Kassidy gets over to Hardy for the tag, so Omega gets the overly dramatic tag. Hardy sends Omega outside and goes up but Page tags himself in to take over instead. Omega snaps off a hurricanrana and it’s the Bucks coming back in for..

AEW Rampage Results – January 27, 2023

Rampage Date: January 27, 2023 Location: Rupp Arena, Lexington, Kentucky Commentators: Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, Chris Jericho We’re still in Kentucky and in this case that means it’s time for Hangman Page to face Wheeler Yuta on his way to next week’s showdown with Jon Moxley. Other than that, Jamie Hayter is in a Women’s Title eliminator match and we should be in for a treat there. The show continues to be up and down, but maybe they can make it work this week. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Hangman Page vs. Wheeler Yuta Yuta knocks him into the corner to start and hammers away. The Octopus has Page in early trouble before Yuta switches to the legs. They trade slaps to the face until Yuta bridges back into a leglock. Page fights up and knocks Yuta down for a change and a fall away slam sends Yuta to the apron. There’s the springboard clothesline to send him outside, setting up a slingshot dive. Page sends him back inside where Yuta hits a very fast dive of his own...

AEW Dynamite Results – January 25, 2023

Dynamite Date: January 25, 2023 Location: Rupp Arena, Lexington, Kentucky Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz This is going to be an emotional one as the main event will feature the Jay Briscoe Tribute match between Mark Briscoe and Jay Lethal. If that’s not enough, we’re still on the way to Revolution and that means Bryan Danielson gets to wrestle again. This time he has to find a way around Brian Cage, which is quite the different opponent than he has had in recent weeks. Other than that, the Gunns and the Acclaimed are going to have family therapy, which could go in a few different ways. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Chris Jericho/Sammy Guevara vs. Action Andretti/Ricky Starks We are joined in the middle of Jericho’s entrance (including Daniel Garcia). Andretti and Guevara start things off and exchange some flips without being able to make a ton of contact. Andretti’s standing moonsault misses and they stare at each other for a bit. Guevara offers a handshake and th..

AEW Rampage Reviews – January 20, 2023

Rampage Date: January 20, 2023 Location: Save Mart Center, Fresno, California Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Chris Jericho We’re still in California and this week’s Dynamite is going to be a bit tough to follow. There is a good chance that we are going to get some solid matches though, as tends to be the case around here. Rampage can be rather fun when it comes to focusing on some of the lower level stuff and that might be what happens again this week. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jungle Boy vs. Ethan Page Isaiah Kassidy, Stokely Hathaway and Matt Hardy are here with Page. Chris Jericho rants about the fans singing along with Jungle Boy’s theme song as Page tries an Ego’s Edge out of the corner to start. That’s broken up and Page is sent to the floor, where he pulls Kassidy in the way of a dive. Back in and Page catches Jungle Boy on top but a dropkick puts him right back down. Hold on though as Hathaway interferes but blames Hardy, allowing Page to whip J..

In Memory Of Jay Briscoe. Rampage Date: January 13, 2023 Location: Kia Forum, Los Angeles, California Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Chris Jericho We’re still in Los Angeles and you know that is going to mean a big show. I’m not sure what all it is going to entail but that is some of the fun of Rampage. This week’s Dynamite was a strong show so they have a lot to live up to this week. If nothing else, there is a street fight so that means violence. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. TNT Title: Juice Robinson vs. Darby Allin Allin is defending. Feeling out process to start with Robinson grabbing a waistlock to send the champ to the ropes. A headlock slows Robinson down but he grabs a belly to back suplex to escape. The backsplash only hits knees though and Allin is back with another headlock. This time Robinson sends him up and over the top for a nasty crash to the floor, followed by some whips into various hard things. A drop onto the steps rocks Allin again and we take a break. Back wit..
