WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE May Be Hinting At A Long Teased Match

Call it a tease? Wrestling can be a fun sport in that you never know what kind of a match you might see. Every now and then you see people get together for a match that you wouldn’t have imagined seeing under almost any circumstances. That can make things very fun, and now WWE might be teasing a rather personal showdown, though then again they may not be. Over the years, Monday Night Raw’s Riddle has been open about his dislike for WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg’s work in the ring. This includes criticizing Goldberg’s mixed martial arts style, including on WWE programming. WWE has posted a clip of the two of them running into each other backstage at Summerslam 2019, with Goldberg saying that they needed to talk and Riddle saying anytime. Goldberg also said that he wasn’t Riddle’s bro. According to Cagesideseats.com, this has led to speculation about a possible future match between the two, but this is not yet confirmed. It was an intense moment. Check out Goldberg meeting Riddle: [This ..

AEW Stars Mock WWE For Complaints About Violent Content

And now, the response. WWE and AEW have been rivals since the latter came into existence three years ago. AEW certainly has caught fire since then, with the company going from barely existing to the second biggest promotion in the world today. Both companies present themselves in different ways, and it seems WWE does not care for AEW’s style. Now it is time for AEW to fight back. Earlier this week, the Toronto Star published an article comparing the two companies. WWE sent in a statement for the article, criticizing AEW’s violent content while promoting its own family friendly content. The statement included a reference to a No DQ match between Tay Conti/Anna Jay vs. the Bunny/Penelope Ford, in which all four bled. Conti, Jay and the Bunny have all sent out photos on Twitter, showcasing the results of the violence in the match. Not Their Style: WWE Trashes Violence On AEW Programming

I guess they aren’t fans. There are a lot of different ways to present a wrestling match and some of them are a bit more intense. Occasionally you will see a match get a lot more violent than others, which may or may not be a good thing. You will occasionally see bloodshed during a match, which is not everyone’s cup of tea. That was apparent this week. The Toronto Star has published an article comparing WWE and AEW programming. The article looks at the television ratings for WWE SmackDown and AEW Dynamite, noting that the numbers are getting closer and citing AEW’s edgier content. WWE sent in a statement for the piece, criticizing AEW’s content, particularly the street fight between the Bunny/Penelope Ford and Anna Jay/Tay Conti while promoting its own more family friendly product. Here is WWE’s statement: “If you look at the gory self-mutilation that bloodied several women in the December 31 event on TNT, it quickly becomes clear that these are very different businesses. We had an e..

WATCH: B-Fab Music Video On WWE Release With Hit Row’s Top Dolla

Speak your minds. Talking is one of the most important aspects of wrestling, if not the most important of them all. Bizarre Explanation For Why NXT Team Is Suddenly Being Booed

This is one for the books. NXT 2.0 has been quite the game changer for the NXT brand and some would argue that it has not been the best move. This is a completely different NXT after so many years of success under the old format. There are certain people who are associated with the old NXT and it turns out that some of them are influencing the modern version to this day. In recent weeks, former NXT Tag Team Champions MSK have been inexplicably booed during all of their appearances. The team has not undergone a heel turn or anything close to it, leaving little explanation for the reaction. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the reason stems from the parents of Bayley superfan Izzy, who regularly appeared during shows when Bayley was part of NXT. In 2018, MSK’s Nash Carter sent out a tweet criticizing the decision to allow Izzy, then thirteen years old, to take a chokeslam at an independent event. As a result, Izzy’s parents have convinced the current NXT fans to boo Carter anytime..

Cut It Out: WWE Edits Roman Reigns’ SmackDown Promo

That doesn’t fit. One of the most controversial decisions that WWE has made in the last fifteen years has been their shift towards a PG product. The move has caused a variety of changes in the promotion, including a change in their on-screen product. Certain things do not take place any longer and certain things are not said. This time around, WWE has edited something out. The WWE YouTube account has edited out a line from Roman Reigns’ promo on John Cena from last week’s SmackDown. While criticizing Cena’s return, Reigns said that everything was the same with Cena, describing it as “missionary position”. That statement is edited out, though it is still present on the WWE On FOX YouTube account. Cena vs. Reigns has yet to be made official. Cena and Reigns do have a history of words. MVP Rips Fans For Criticizing WWE Television

I guess he is a fan. Wrestling fans can be rather critical of the product at times and WWE is certainly no exception. The company ‘s fans regularly express their issues with what is going on in WWE and can get rather upset by what they are presented with on a regular basis. These complaints are seen by people who work in WWE and now one of them is speaking back. Monday Night Raw star MVP sent out a tweet earlier this week, criticizing fans for making assumptions based on their fantasy booking and criticizing wrestling shows based on their fantasy booking. It is not clear which incidents or tweets caused him to make these statements. MVP later responded to a fan saying that WWE presented “same garbage every week”, with MVP saying that the fan said the same garbage every week. 2 things today's wrestling fans LOVE: Assumptions about what or who is coming next based on their fantasy booking. Criticizing whatever wrestling show they're watching based on their fantasy booking. —..

WWE And NXT Stars Slam Fans For Body Shaming Piper Niven

That is going to get them in some trouble. It can be rather interesting to see a new star debut on WWE television, even if they have been on another show before. That can make for some fun situations as you do not know how the new star is going to be received. However, that might not be the best thing in the world in some situations, which seems to be the case this time around. This week on Monday Night Raw, NXT UK’s Piper Niven made her debut, wrestling in Eva Marie’s place to defeat Naomi in less than a minute. Niven has wrestled for NXT UK since 2017, following an appearance in the Mae Young Classic. She was not given a name and commentary did not recognize her, but it seems that someone has some problems with Niven already. Since Niven’s debut, various fans have posted messages to Twitter, many of which have been critical of Niven’s size and weight. Various WWE and NXT stars have responded as well, criticizing fans for making such comments. Niven herself has responded as well, sa..

Roman Reigns Responsible For Recent Rise of Independent Wrestling

For the past four years, WWE officials have been promoting Roman Reigns as the top babyface in the company. He’s main evented the last four WrestleMania events, but he is still routinely booed out of arenas on a regular basis. That’s why some fans are very unhappy and don’t believe he deserves his position in the company and on WWE TV. His critics are too busy criticizing how he continuously impacts WWE programming in a negative way to realize the positive effect he has on the industry as a whole. According to RingSideNews, Reigns might be responsible for the growth of the independent scenes. Related: Roman Reigns Doesn’t Care If You Boo Him And Neither Does WWE One of the common complaints is WWE doing what is best for the company and not for the fans. That’s allowed more wrestling fans to get their wrestling elsewhere and more independent promotions and shows are willing to give their consumer what they want because they don’t have to deal with sponsors or certain restrictions lik..

Ryback Criticizes Nia Jax’s Tweet About WWE Creative

On a recent episode of his podcast, Conversation with the Big Guy, Ryback let out his thoughts on Nia Jax’s controversial tweet about the WWE Creative. Jax had tweeted criticizing the red brand’s creative team by pointing out how RAW doesn’t use all it’s women wrestlers while its rival brand, SmackDown LIVE does.

The tweet was then quickly taken down by Jax herself as it was garnering a lot of attention and possibly made the creative look really bad.

Here are Ryback’s comments on the said issue : (quotes credit ewrestlingnews.com)

“Everybody is frustrated there, from top to bottom. She’s been handed a lot early on, in my opinion. It’s very early on to make a comment like that and when I saw that I totally understand it, like, if you are not on TV a couple of weeks is frustrating. With her character on TV, it’s not like they can just throw her in random. It could be a good TV that you’re not on TV every week. If you’re being booked for live events, who the f**k cares? You’re making money until they find something good for you, but when you go and make comments like that, there’s no good that comes out of that because it’s not like real sports where you control the outcome. It’s writers and Vince, they control your character and they can write her and job her out every week. She has to either go do it or not do it and get released, so she put herself in a real bad position by making comments like that on social media. It reminded me of that guy with Lord Tensai, Sakamoto. I remember there was Japanese heat for another Japanese guy coming on the roster, Yoshi had gone on social media and made a comment. If we were in UFC it’d be cool, you may have gotten yourself booked for a big fight and a big payday, but in pro-wrestling you can’t go on there and say that. A week later he got Jobbed out on RAW. That is what it reminded me of because no good ever comes out of it, but she’s young, so it is what it is.”

You can check out all our other podcast recaps from Jim Ross, Taz, Ryback and many more at this link.
