It’s Working: Very Positive Sign For Liv Morgan At WWE Live Events

They’re doing something right. While the main focus of WWE is on television, there is a lot that takes place off of television that is only there for the fans in attendance. This is mainly the case with live events, where the wrestlers are able to try out some different things. It is also a place where the fans can tell WWE what they might be more interested in seeing, and that was the case again over the weekend. According to PWInsider.com, a source at the SmackDown live events from over the weekend has never heard louder crowd reactions for Liv Morgan. In addition, her merchandise is said to be selling in high numbers at the same events. This comes after Morgan won the women’s Money In The Bank briefcase earlier this month and cashed in on Ronda Rousey to win the SmackDown Women’s Title. Morgan is set to defend against Rousey at Summerslam. Opinion: Well good for Morgan. That is the kind of thing that you want to see as a wrestler and it is also great to see as a fan. Morgan’s titl..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – June 10, 2022

Smackdown Date: June 10, 2022 Location: Raising Cane’s River Center Arena, Baton Rouge, Louisiana Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee It’s officially Money In The Bank season and that means we need to have some qualifying matches. Maybe they can even play the theme song fourteen times. Other than that, we might get to hear about something related to Roman Reigns wrestling again sometime in the future. But probably not. Let’s get to it. Commentary hypes up tonight’s historic show. Money In The Bank Qualifying Match: Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre In the back, McIntyre throws Butch around and says he’ll see Sheamus out there. They hit each other hard to start with McIntyre getting the better of it off some chops. A Michinoku Driver gives Drew two but Sheamus sends him to the apron for the forearms to the chest. That’s reversed so Drew can hit his own, only to have Butch offer a distraction. Something like White Noise on the apron drops McIntyre and we take a break. Back with Sheamus hi..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – May 27, 2022

Smackdown Date: May 27, 2022 Location: Simmons Bank Arena, Little Rock, Arkansas Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee We’re almost up to Hell In A Cell and that means it might be time to actually add some things to the card. I’m not sure what the main event is actually supposed to be but maybe we get something else this week. If nothing else, New Day has a mystery partner to FINALLY wrap up their feud with the Brawling Brutes. I’m sure. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of the Usos taking out RKBro last week to unify the Tag Team Titles. Randy Orton was injured pretty badly last week to put him on the shelf for the time being. Here are the Usos for a chat. After thanking Roman Reigns for making this possible, we hear about how the Usos recently celebrated twelve years in this company and they couldn’t have done it without the fans. The fans have cheered and booed them while seeing their up and definitely (Jey’s word) seeing their downs. After all their time together and all th..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – May 6, 2022

Smackdown Date: May 6, 2022 Location: Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale, New York Commentators: Pat McAfee, Michael Cole It’s the go home show for Wrestlemania Backlash and that means we need to hype up the six man tag which totally serves some kind of a purpose. I’m not quite sure what that purpose is but I’m sure it’s there. Other than that, it might be time to add one or two more matches to the card. Let’s get to it. SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – April 22, 2022

Smackdown Date: April 22, 2022 Location: MVP Arena, Albany, New York Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee We are less than two weeks away from Wrestlemania Bakclash and it is time to start adding some things to the card. Roman Reigns still doesn’t have anything to do, though there is still the chance that they pick up whatever they stared with Shinsuke Nakamura two weeks ago. Let’s get to it. We open with the contract signing between Charlotte and Ronda Rousey with Adam Pearce in charge. After a recap video of their issues together….there is no contract. Drew Gulak brings it out and has even made a special PowerPoint presentation (it was his thing when he was on 205 Live) about the rules of an I Quit match but Charlotte tells him to shut up. She has been looking forward to this match for a long time and lists off some of the ways she can make Rousey submit. Charlotte signs and says she beat Rousey at Wrestlemania. Rousey explains the idea, allowing Charlotte to say she won at Wres..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – April 8, 2022

Smackdown Date: April 8, 2022 Location: Fiserv Forum, Milwaukee, Wisconsin Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee It’s the first Smackdown after Wrestlemania and maybe something can go a bit better than this week’s Raw. If nothing else, there is always the chance to see who might show up from NXT or elsewhere and that can make for some exciting times. If nothing else, the fans have now had a chance to rest a bit and aren’t likely to get burned out an hour into the show. Let’s get to it. We open with the long recap of Wrestlemania. Kayla Braxton brings out Ronda Rousey for a chat. We look at Charlotte tapping out at Wrestlemania but winning anyway thanks to a downed referee. Rousey says that her mom taught her that things won’t always work out, but she had Charlotte beaten. Now Rousey wants a rematch, but with no way out. Instead, she wants it in an I Quit match. Charlotte pops up on screen to laugh and say Charlie Sheen’s WINNING. She thinks the Baddest Woman On The Planet deal is a..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – March 25, 2022

Smackdown Date: March 25, 2022 Location: Barclays Center, New York City, New York Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee We’re eight days away from Wrestlemania and believe it or not, the preview for the show has a picture of Roman Reigns/Brock Lesnar/Paul Heyman, because that is the only thing on this show that matters. It would be nice for the new Intercontinental Champion to get a Wrestlemania match set up, but I wouldn’t bet on it anytime soon. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Brock Lesnar’s path of rage last week, including the fork lift attack on the Bloodline’s SUV. Opening sequence. Brock Lesnar is outside of Reigns’ dressing room and says that he has paid some fines and bought some vehicles, including a blood red SUV for Reigns himself. Now upper management has told him to not have any contact with Reigns, so he’ll be sitting in Reigns’ locker room and wait for a good provoking. Lesnar goes into the empty room, likes what he has found (“Not as good as mine but not ..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – February 25, 2022

Smackdown Date: February 25, 2022 Location: Giant Center, Hershey, Pennsylvania Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee Elimination Chamber is out of the way and that means it is time to start getting ready for Wrestlemania. In a normal year, most of Wrestlemania would already be set but WWE doesn’t operate that way, meaning they have about five weeks to get things ready. Hopefully they can start here so let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns so far this year, which has involved a lot of backstabbing and Lesnar World Title wins. As expected, all roads lead to the title vs. title showdown at Wrestlemania. The match is now officially a unification match. Michael Cole is in the ring to introduce Ronda Rousey for a chat. Rousey talks about how she broke her hand in the main event of Wrestlemania. Then she broke her other hand while she was rehabbing and then she got pregnant with her daughter. She wanted to come back because of her mother, who won the wor..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – January 7, 2022

Smackdown Date: January 7, 2022 Location: Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncastville, Connecticut Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee It’s the first show of the year and that means we’re in for a special night with two World Champions in the house. Last Saturday, Brock Lesnar became the WWE Champion and tonight he is here to confront Roman Reigns, who was not around at Day One due to health issues. I think that’s going to make for a sufficient explosion so let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Paul Heyman aligning with Brock Lesnar on Raw, revealing that he got Lesnar into the WWE Title match at Day One. Here is Roman Reigns for a chat. He was gone for a week and everything fell apart….but here are Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman to interrupt. We get the big staredown and Heyman loads up the catchphrase but Lesnar gets in Reigns’ face to introduce himself. That means Lesnar does Heyman’s catchphrases and tells Reigns to acknowledge him. Last Saturday, they both got what they wanted: Lesnar ..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – December 10, 2021

Smackdown Date: December 10, 2021 Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, California Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee We’re on the way to Day One and that means some more of the show needs to be put together. The main event of Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Title is now set, but we are now missing a Jeff Hardy, who was released earlier this week. That could shake things up a bit so let’s get to it. Here is Sami Zayn, in a wheelchair/leg cast/neck brace, with two male nurses pushing him to the ring. After a video on last week’s big beatdown at the hands of Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, Sami says he is the toughest man in WWE. Sami talks about how this isn’t necessarily a conspiracy, but he was betrayed last week….and now he has to sue. He promises to sue everyone involved with last week but here is Paul Heyman to interrupt. Heyman: “You’re doing my people’s shtick. My people own entertainment in Hollywood.” Sami tells him to get out of his camera shot but Heyma..

WATCH: Bobby Roode’s Smackdown Debut

Absolutely Glorious! WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube channel in which they show the full debut of Bobby Roode on the main roster in 2017. He debuted on the August 22 episode of Smackdown Live. You can see the video in its entirety below: [This post contains video, click to play] From our own Thomas Hall: The fans go INSANE for the entrance and Roode seems to be a face, at least for the night. They take turns posing at each other with Roode clotheslining English to the floor and sending us to a break. Back with English in control but Roode drives him into the corner for some chops. A forearm sets up the Blockbuster as JBL says Roode needs to win to get some beer money. English hits a Director’s Cut for two but walks into a spinebuster. The Glorious DDT ends English at 6:28. Result: Bobby Roode b. Aiden English – Glorious DDT (6:28) Post-match, Roode says everything he does is big box office and in a New York minute Smackdown has gone from great to GLORIOUS. Editor’s Op..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – November 26, 2021

Smackdown Date: November 26, 2021 Location: Greensboro Coliseum, Greensboro, North Carolina Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee We’re done with Survivor Series, where a grand total of very little took place. Raw won the Battle For Brand Supremacy but Roman Reigns beat Big E. in the show’s main event. We are now on the way to Day 1 and Reigns’ next challenger will be determined this week via a battle royal. Let’s get to it. Kayla Braxton is in the ring to talk about Brock Lesnar’s suspension but here are Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns to interrupt. Heyman says we don’t deal with rumors like this one on the Island of Relevancy. The fans aren’t pleased but Heyman tells them to stop booing Braxton. He wants Braxton to go get some sources and find some real news. Stop living through an Instagram filter because there is no real journalist filter. Braxton is allowed to leave so the fans want Brock. McAfee: “Did they say let’s go……Brandon?” Reigns says the problem with rumors is they give ..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – November 19, 2021

Smackdown Date: November 19, 2021 Location: XL Center, Hartford, Connecticut Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee It’s the go home show for Survivor Series and that means it is time to hype up the Battle Of Brand Supremacy. We don’t have anything else to talk about on the show because there are no title matches or really anything personal to build towards, but maybe Big E. can show up to avenge his friends. Let’s get to it. The post SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – November 19, 2021 appeared first on WrestlingRumors.net.

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – October 29, 2021

Smackdown Date: October 29, 2021 Location: Mohegan Sun Arena, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania Commentators: Pat McAfee, Michael Cole We’re still on the way to Survivor Series and this week seems likely to be the Halloween themed show. That means we get a Trick Or Street Fight, because the world was waiting on another chapter in Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Happy Corbin. At least this version is a tag match though so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Here is Charlotte for a chat, with commentary referencing last week’s “feisty” title exchange with Becky Lynch. She talks about how great she is and how no one can do what she does, because her winning another title is just another Friday. Cue Sasha Banks to interrupt and laugh at the idea of Charlotte being a leader around here. She wants another title shot but Charlotte thinks it should be someone new. Cue Shotzi in the tank to say she’ll have a shot and Charlotte says ok. Shotzi shoots the tank to celebrate. Shotzi vs. Charlotte Non-title but a..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – October 15, 2021

Smackdown Date: October 15, 2021 Location: Toyota Arena, Ontario, California Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee We’re in a unique situation as this is the go home Smackdown for a pay per view but there is one more Raw to go. Crown Jewel is in less than a week with Brock Lesnar challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Title. Lesnar is here tonight as part of the special Supersized show. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Here is Edge and, after we see a video on his feud with Seth Rollins and the announcement of Hell in a Cell at Crown Jewel, it’s time for a chat in a chair. Edge talks about how the two of them have had problems for a long time but now Rollins has gone to Edge’s home. That’s the place where he breaks bread with his family and tucks his little girls in at night. It was right out of Edge’s playbook, like the time he slapped John Cena’s dad. They have traded wins and now it is time to settle this inside the Cell. Rollins is the only one who can match Edge’s inten..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – October 1, 2021

Smackdown Date: October 1, 2021 Location: Royal Farms Arena, Baltimore, Maryland Commentators: Pat McAfee, Michael Cole It’s a big night as we are starting this year’s Draft. That means we are going to be seeing a bunch of names moved from show to show, though it is not clear if NXT will be included as well. That could make for some interesting changes, but they might not all be for the best. Let’s get to it. Commentary welcomes us to the show and sets up a few rules: half of the roster will be eligible for drafting tonight and half on Raw, but the rosters will not officially change until October 22, the night after Crown Jewel. We waste no time as Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce are here to announce the first round picks: Round 1 Smackdown: Roman Reigns Raw: Big E. Smackdown: Charlotte Raw: Bianca Belair Here are Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman for a chat, but first we look at a package on Reigns vs. Finn Balor from Extreme Rules. Reigns’ shirt now says We The Ones and he demands to b..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – September 24, 2021

Smackdown Date: September 24, 2021 Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee It’s the go home show for Extreme Rules, which is mostly minus the extreme. The one stipulation confirmed so far has been Roman Reigns vs. Finn Balor in an Extreme Rules match, though maybe we can get some more added this week. There is also an Intercontinental Title match scheduled so let’s get to it. Here is Becky Lynch to get things going and we see a clip of her interrupting Bianca Belair’s homecoming last week. Becky talks about how much fun she had last week and wonders where her celebration is. She never lost the Women’s Title, then came back less than a year after having a child and won the title in record time. Last week, Becky tried to come out and offer Belair a handshake but she wouldn’t let go of Becky’s hand. What choice did she really have? Becky wanted to give Belair time, but then she was goaded into a rematch at Extreme Rules, so what c..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – September 17, 2021

Smackdown Date: September 17, 2021 Location: Thompson-Boling Arena, Knoxville, Tennessee Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee It’s almost time for Extreme Rules hold the extreme. So far we have nothing extreme whatsoever about the show and that is going to make for a weird card. I can imagine some matches being adjusted, though WWE is the kind of place where the show being named one thing and not having any of is not out of the question. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Seth Rollins beating and injuring Edge last week, with Michael Cole doing a voiceover to explain what happened. Here is the Bloodline to get things going. We see a clip of Brock Lesnar returning last week and issuing the challenge to Roman Reigns. Then the Demon showed up because he is going to be facing Reigns at Extreme Rules. The winner of that will get Lesnar at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. Reigns tells Paul Heyman to teach these people how to acknowledge him, so Heyman goes into a speech about how Reig..
