Absolutely Glorious! WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube channel in which they show the full debut of Bobby Roode on the main roster in 2017. He debuted on the August 22 episode of Smackdown Live.
You can see the video in its entirety below:
From our own Thomas Hall:
The fans go INSANE for the entrance and Roode seems to be a face, at least for the night. They take turns posing at each other with Roode clotheslining English to the floor and sending us to a break. Back with English in control but Roode drives him into the corner for some chops. A forearm sets up the Blockbuster as JBL says Roode needs to win to get some beer money. English hits a Director’s Cut for two but walks into a spinebuster. The Glorious DDT ends English at 6:28.
Result: Bobby Roode b. Aiden English – Glorious DDT (6:28)
Post-match, Roode says everything he does is big box office and in a New York minute Smackdown has gone from great to GLORIOUS.
Editor’s Opinion:
I’ve always been a huge fan of his and think that he has not maximized his potential on the main roster. Although he is a former United States Champion, I definitely think that he has the potential to be a world champion and hope that he gets that opportunity before his career is over. That would be absolutely GLORIOUS!
