Ronda Rousey Takes Shot At WWE Fans Following Bray Wyatt’s Release

The baddest woman on the planet isn’t pleased. Former WWE and UFC superstar Ronda Rousey recently took to Twitter to direct some comments towards the WWE Universe following the shocking release of Bray Wyatt earlier this week.
Rousey referenced several chants that were made during Raw last evening, which emanated from Chicago:
“I’ve seen you same “fans” chanting #WeWantWyatt last night chanting “We want beach balls” over @WWEBrayWyatt performing. If the @wwe treated him like he was expendable it was because you ungrateful idiots did first”

Rousey last wrestled for WWE in 2019, when she headlined WrestleMania 35 with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. Lynch would end up winning both the Raw and Smackdown women’s championships du..

Shane McMahon Has Gotten A New Job

That’s something new. Vince McMahon has a long history of success in wrestling, but things have not gone so well outside of the industry. McMahon has tried various other endeavors which had little or nothing to do with wrestling without much success. This includes the XFL, the other XFL, the World Bodybuilding Federation, WWE Studios and a minor league hockey team among others. It might be better for McMahon to stick to wrestling, but what about his son?
Shane McMahon has been named the Executive Chairman of Ideanomics, a company involved in the electric vehicle and hydrogen fuel cell industry. Shane has been a part of the company since 2010 and is a former Vice Chairman. The company, formerly known as YOU On Demand, has begun to shift into a different industry with Shane being part of the change. There is nothing to suggest that this will impact Shane’s occasional WWE appearances.
Shane does have certain other skills. Check out what he can do in wrestling:

VIDEO: Two Former NXT Stars Are Coming To AEW This Week

Their new home? The last year and a half has seen more shakeups and changes to the WWE roster than has been seen in a very long time. Wrestlers have been coming and going from the company, with dozens being released. It was clear that some of them were going to wind up heading somewhere else, and now two of them have made their debut for another promotion.
Former NXT stars Jeff Parker and Matt Lee, have been announced for this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. The team (better known as Chase Parker and Matt Martel as Ever-Rise in NXT) will be known as 2.0 and will team with Daniel Garcia to face Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston and Darby Allin in a six man tag. The two were released from their WWE contracts on June 25 along with several others.
This should be a fun one. Check out the announcement plus some of the team’s time in NXT:

Ring Of Honor TV Results – July 21, 2021

Ring of Honor
Date: July 28, 2021
Location: UMBC Event Center, Baltimore, Maryland
Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman
These shows run together pretty badly most weeks, but I’m kind of looking forward to watching it most weeks. It feels like a show where you know you’re going to get something at least pretty good, putting it ahead of most these days. Coming in with low expectations and leaving happy is not a bad thing so maybe the can continue their streak here. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
We recap Mandy Leon cheating to beat Quinn McKay last week, with an assist from Angelina Love.
The Allure laughs off the idea that McKay was a challenge and that’s it for her.
Quinn McKay keeps the welcome short this week because she got hit in the head with brass knuckles. The only thing more painful than that is knowing her chances to be Women’s Champion are gone. We get the show rundown as usual.

Adam Cole’s Undisputed WWE Era Coming To An End?

Adam Cole is the latest in a long line of WWE stars who is rumored to be heading to another company. The former NXT champion has been plying his craft on WWE’s black and gold brand since 2017. During that time, he’s become a cornerstone of the brand.
But like many others before him, Cole could find new life outside of Vince McMahon’s company. However while fans begin to debate the pros and cons of such a departure, the question is could Adam Cole remain right were he is?
Fans have been down this road many times over the past year. Every time WWE releases a batch of talent, the rush is on to predict what will happen next. Much of that speculation usually includes All Elite Wrestling, which has been the destination for many stars post-WWE.

NXT Live Coverage And Results – August 3, 2021

NXT
Date: August 3, 2021
Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida
Commentators: Wade Barrett, Vic Joseph, Beth Phoenix.
We are less than three weeks away from Takeover and after last week, we have a new main event for the show as Samoa Joe will challenge Karrion Kross for the NXT Title. Granted Kross might not mean as much after how things have gone on Monday Night Raw, I’m not sure how much that is going to be worth. Other than that, more things will be happening. Let’s get to it.
Opening recap.
Legado del Fantasma vs. Hit Row Santos Escobar and the rest of Hit Row is at ringside. It’s a brawl to start with Legado being knocked outside until Mendoza and Adonis slug it out inside. A whip into the corner takes Mendoza down and a neckbreaker makes it worse. Top Dolla comes in to throw people around, including running both of them over. Hold on though as Escobar gets up for a distraction, allowing Mendoza to low bridge Adonis to the floor.
We take a break and come back wit..

Main Event Results – July 29, 2021

Main Event
Date: July 29, 2021
Location: T-Mobile Center, Kansas City, Missouri
Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Byron Saxton
The fans are back, but unfortunately it seems that the changes that had been taken place around here are not. Last week felt a lot like the Main Event days of old, which is far from exciting news. Normally I would say that I’m not surprised, but I really can’t say I am with this show. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Jaxson Ryker vs. Drew Gulak Ryker powers him into the corner to start so Gulak does it to him as well. Gulak’s slap to the face doesn’t seem to be the best idea as Ryker is back with a spinning slam. We hit the armbar on Gulak as we hear about Ryker’s military career again. Gulak switches into a cravate to hold Ryker down and it’s off to a cross arm choke. Ryker powers up into some ax handles to the chest and a release slingshot suplex drops Gulak again. The swinging Boss Man Slam finishes Gulak at 5:17.
Result: Jaxson Ryker b. Drew Gulak – Swingi..

WATCH: nWo Invitational Battle Royal From WCW Road Wild 1998

Well, that happened. WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube channel in which they show the full nWo Invitational Battle Royal match from WCW Road Wild 1998. The match featured Goldberg, Scott Hall, Curt Hennig, The Giant, Scott Norton, Sting, Lex Luger, Kevin Nash, and Konnan.
You can see the match in its entirety below:

From our own Thomas Hall:
You can be eliminated either over the top or by pin/submission. Hall interrupts the ridiculously long entrances with the survey to keep this show going even longer. The NWO factions brawl while Goldberg hides in the corner. That lasts about fifteen seconds before Goldberg goes after Giant, which should have been a regular match tonight in the first place. Again that doesn’t last long and the match breaks down into a regular battle royal.
Hall loads up the Outsiders’ Edge on Goldberg but gets backdropped out. Nash eliminates himself (you can’t make up jokes like this) and goes after Hall as Gol..

WATCH: Sasha Banks vs. Bayley From NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 2015

The match that started a revolution. WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube channel in which the show the full match between Sasha Banks vs. Bayley for the NXT Women’s Championship from NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 2015.
You can see the match in its entirety below:
[This post contains video, click to play]

From WWE.com:
The Divas Revolution took center stage at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn with the NXT Women’s Championship Match. Stephanie McMahon set the scene by reminding the sold-out Barclays Center that the revolution began in NXT. Following that, both Bayley and the NXT Women’s Champion entered in style with Bayley paying tribute to Dusty Rhodes by adorning herself in polka dots and Banks riding into the Barclays Center in a Cadillac Escalade with a full security detail.
In a match that had the hot Brooklyn crowd on their feet from its onset, Bayley and Banks left everything in the ring in their quest for NXT Women’s gold. Both women took an incredible amount of risks throughout the ..

REVIEW: Summerslam 2015: He Tapped

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?
Summerslam 2015
Date: August 23, 2015
Location: Barclays Center, New York City, New York
Attendance: 15,702
Commentators: Michael Cole, John Bradshaw Layfield, Jerry Lawler
I barely remember anything about this show save for the two main events. It really is amazing that these shows have just stopped standing out aside from Wrestlemania. Unfortunately we’re at the point where Summerslam is now a regular four hour show because three hours of pay per view plus five hours of TV a week and a two hour NXT show the nigh..

VIDEO: Cool Moment Takes Place After Monday Night Raw

That’s pretty cool. There have been a lot of changes to WWE over the last few months but the most important is the return of live fans to the company’s events. For the first time in far too long, WWE has people watching them and that is the kind of change that can make a lot of improvements for the company. Now we are getting back to normal and that meant something special.
WWE has posted a video to its YouTube page showing what happened after this week’s Monday Night Raw went off the air. Following Nikki Ash defeating Charlotte to end Monday Night Raw, Ash went into the crowd to celebrate. New Day then came to the ring for the show’s dark match main event, but first danced with Ash in the ring. According to PWInsider.com, New Day defeated MVP and Bobby Lashley in the dark match.
It was quite the night. Check out what happened after the show, plus what the people involved did during the night:

WATCH: Nia Jax Badly Busted Open During Monday Night Raw

Ouch. Wrestling is a physical sport and that can cause problems every now and then. You can see all kinds of injuries take place in wrestling at any time and they can come in a few different ways. Some of them are going to be a lot more obvious than others and you can tell what happens almost immediately. That was the case this week and it was a pretty nasty incident.
Nia Jax was cut open during this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw. During a match with Rhea Ripley, Jax was elbowed in the face next to her left eye, drawing blood. The bleeding got worse throughout the match, ultimately causing the entire side of her face to be nearly covered in blood. Jax was able to finish the match, with Ripley winning and attacking Jax again after the match was over. There is nothing to suggest that Jax will miss any time.
It was a nasty cut. Check out two looks at the match, plus how karma might be catching up with Jax:
