VIDEO: CM Punk Drops Huge Hint About Possible Future AEW Signing

That would be big. There are certain names in wrestling who are identified with a certain word or catchphrase. It becomes their signature calling card and it is hard to imagine anyone else saying the same thing. You know it when you hear it and just the hint at such a thing makes you know a person is on the way. That was the case this week, albeit with someone not there yet.
CM Punk made his first AEW Dynamite appearance on this week’s show, taking part in an in-ring interview. During the interview, Punk asked the fans if they thought he still had what it took to be the best in the world. The fans repeatedly chanted YES, which is Daniel Bryan’s catchphrase. Punk said that that was someone else’s shtick, and the people needed to be patient for that just a bit longer. This would suggest that Bryan is coming to AEW, which has been rumored for several weeks.
This could be big. Check out Punk’s promo, who might be coming to AEW and his history with Punk:

Top SmackDown Star May Be Heading To Monday Night Raw

Change it up? WWE has so many names on its roster that it has been forced to split things up into three different groups. As a result, WWE now has the three different rosters between Monday Night Raw, SmackDown and NXT. For the most part, these rosters stay the same throughout the year, but every now and then you might see a change. That might be the case coming up.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, Edge may be moving to Monday Night Raw in the near future. Edge is currently listed as a Monday Night Raw star in certain sections of WWEshop.com, which could suggest that he will be changing brands. This has not been confirmed and Edge is still listed as a SmackDown star. WWE is expected to hold its annual Draft by the end of the year.
Edge has a history on both shows. Check out what he has done in both places:

Bray Wyatt Has A Surprising Suitor For His Services

That would be a big get. The wrestling world has been shaken up in a big way over the course of the last few months as WWE has released several wrestlers from their contracts. In addition to leaving all kinds of holes in the WWE roster, it has also flooded the market with wrestlers who could be signed elsewhere. Now another company is interested in a pretty big name.
Dave Meltzer appeared on a recent edition of the Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast and mentioned that Impact Wrestling was making a strong push to get Bray Wyatt into the company. However, Wyatt is not expected to sign with Impact Wrestling, as he is more likely to be heading to AEW. Wyatt was released on July 31, meaning that his 90 day no compete clause would allow him to appear elsewhere in late October.
They should be interested. Check out what Wyatt can do for Impact Wrestling:

Adam Cole: The Next Undisputed AEW Star?

Adam Cole was defeated by former Undisputed ERA teammate Kyle O’Reilly at NXT TakeOver 36. The event took place on August 22. It marked the third time the two squared off since Cole betrayed O’Reilly at Vengeance Day on February 14.
So now the feud is over and perhaps so is Cole’s NXT career. Per Figure Four Online, Cole’s WWE contact is reportedly up and many fans are speculating on what his next move will be. Is Adam Cole on his way to AEW?

AEW’s Growing Locker Room It’s quite possibly the single most asked question of exiting WWE stars of the past two years. Since AEW’s birth and growth in the industry, Tony Khan’s company has become a landing spot for several ex-WWE talents. It’s a situation that has played out many times and it’s likely not going to end anytime soon.
Critics of AEW cite the company’s penchant for signing former WWE stars as the reason for Khan’s success. After all, WWE stars have had the benefit of working for a much ..

The Shape Of The NXT Roster Was Shaken Up This Week

There are a few of them. One of the more interesting wrestling stories of the last few weeks has been the changes in and around NXT. Vince McMahon has not seemed happy with what has been going on in his developmental program and some adjustments have been made. There are even more of them to come, and some of the bigger ones might have taken place this week.
Multiple members of the NXT roster had some sort of change during this week’s show. First of all, Danny Burch returned to television after injuring his shoulder in March. Burch returned to help Oney Lorcan attack Timothy Thatcher during Thatcher’s match against Ridge Holland, Burch and Lorcan’s former associate. It is not clear when Burch will return to the ring.
Next, Carmelo Hayes defeated Odyssey Jones to win the second NXT Breakout Tournament. The win grants Hayes a future title shot against any champion, though he did not make his decision on which champion to challenge. Later in the show, Electra Lopez returned to NXT and a..

Here’s Who Will Be Some Of The Top NXT Stars Going Forward

You need some major names. We are in the middle of a transitional period in NXT and that is going to be the case for a long time to come. WWE has not been thrilled with the way things have gone and it is time for some changes to be made. This will involve a retooling of the NXT roster, but not everyone is going to be gone. Now we might have an idea of who will be filling some of the most important roles.
According to PWInsider.com, Johnny Gargano is likely to be the main heel in NXT going forward. In addition, Roderick Strong and Pete Dunne will be some of the roster’s major villains. This comes after Adam Cole and Karrion Kross finished up with NXT on Sunday at Takeover 36. There is no word on who these three will be feuding with in the future or who will be the major babyfaces on the show.
Those are some big names. Check out what they have been up to lately:

WWE RUMOR: Why Karrion Kross Wore That Mask On Monday Night Raw

Call it a choice? There are certain things about wrestlers that almost everyone is going to notice, which makes them all the more important. A wrestler has to be put together in the right way or they are not going to be the most well received. One of the most important aspects is how the wrestler looks, with the wrong look having the potential to be quite the problem. Now we know the idea behind a recent change.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Karrion Kross came to the ring wearing a special mask and wearing new gear. According to Andrew Zarian, the new gear was introduced as a way to market Kross, as every wrestler must be marketable for the purposes of things like clothing, toys and imaging. Kross would go on to defeat Ricochet in less than a minute and a half. The win came one day after he lost the NXT Title to Samoa Joe at NXT Takeover 36.
Spoke to a source regarding Kross’s new ring gear. His response :
“Everything & everyone must be marketable. Toys, shirts, imaging, and acces..

Four Monday Night Raw Wrestlers Are Undergoing Some Changes

They have a plan for that. Summerslam has come and gone and things have been shaken up in WWE all over again. That tends to be the case after nearly every major show the company has, which was the case again this weekend. WWE is making some adjustments and now we know a bit more about what is going to be happening with some of the more prominent names on the roster.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Miz and John Morrison split up when Miz turned on Morrison for costing him a match. The two have already been confirmed for a match against each other for next week. According to PWInsider.com, the split will result in Morrison’s face turn and the team will not be getting back together anytime in the near future.
In addition, also according to PWInsider.com, Mansoor and Mustafa Ali will be teaming together as a babyface tag team going forward. The two have been working together in recent weeks, with Ali teaching Mansoor the ropes in WWE and attempting to make him into a better star. The two ..

Ouch: NXT Star Out Of Action Indefinitely

It could be awhile. There are all kinds of wrestlers on the NXT roster and most of them are incredibly talented. It isn’t easy to make it onto NXT television and it means a lot to get a spot on the show. Therefore, it is kind of sad to see someone losing their spot, but in this case someone is leaving because they seem primed to come back in a big way, at least in theory.
This week’s edition of NXT featured a match between Ridge Holland and Timothy Thatcher. Holland won the match, with a brawl breaking out after, involving Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch on Holland’s side and Tommaso Ciampa helping Thatcher. The numbers game got the better of Thatcher and Ciampa, with Holland hitting Thatcher in the arm with his baton. Holland also hit Thatcher in the throat, which left Thatcher down. NXT has since sent out a tweet saying that Thatcher will be out indefinitely due to the attack. There is no word on when Thatcher will return to NXT TV.
MEDICAL UPDATE: Timothy Thatcher is out i..

WWE President Nick Khan Was Warned About AEW

They gave him a fair warning. Wrestling has changed a lot in the last two years, as we now have another large scale promotion in the United States. AEW has become a new platform for wrestling in America and things seem to be rolling along. WWE seems to have taken notice of them, though you rarely hear it from them. It does however seem that a pretty high level name in the company has heard a thing or two about it though.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE President Nick Khan was warned about AEW becoming competition before he accepted the position. It is not clear who told him this, but Khan was told that changes needed to be made to WWE to allow them to deal with AEW. During Khan’s tenure, about 100 wrestlers have been let go from WWE, ranging from former World Champions to NXT wrestlers.
They may be right about competition. Check out what AEW has been offering its fans:

NXT Likely Dropping Title And Legend Going Forward

Back to the vault. Titles are one of the easiest things in the world, as you can have wrestlers put into any kind of a story with a title on the line and everything makes sense. That is the kind of thing that can make for some easy storytelling devices and it is certainly the case in NXT. However, it seems that they are not going to be having one of their titles going forward.
Over the last few months, Cameron Grimes has been involved in a storyline with Ted DiBiase, who has brought in the Million Dollar Title. The story has seen Grimes lose a title match to LA Knight and eventually become Knight’s butler. Grimes would eventually earn DiBiase’s respect and become champion at Takeover 36. This week on NXT, Grimes gave the title back to DiBiase as he left the arena, suggesting that the title will not be part of NXT going forward. Grimes and DiBiase parted on good terms.
The story has had some steps. Check out how we got here:
