WWE Confirms Multiple Details On This Year’s Survivor Series

At least they have an idea. WWE presents several pay per view events every year and some of them are quite recognizable. You will see some of them take place regularly every year and a lot of the time you can figure out what you are going to see based on the name alone. Not all of them are that simple though, and now WWE has clarified how an upcoming event will go.
This week on Monday Night Raw, the commentary team discussed the upcoming Survivor Series pay per view and confirmed that it will again be a battle for brand supremacy between Monday Night Raw and SmackDown. There will also be another champion vs. champion match with the WWE Champion facing the Universal Champion. This will be the sixth year in a row featuring this concept.
There have been some good editions of the idea. Check out some of the better moments:

New Grudge Match Set For WWE Crown Jewel

There’s your next one. We are less than two weeks away from WWE Crown Jewel, which will be the company’s next event from the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The show will feature some rather high profile matches as WWE treats each event as one of their biggest of the year. That can make for some important moments, and now we know something else on the card.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Mansoor and Mustafa Ali were defeated by Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander. Following the match, Ali, who was pinned, shoved Mansoor away for trying to help him. Later in the show, Ali yelled at Mansoor and attacked him. After the show was over, WWE confirmed that the two will meet at Crown Jewel in Mansoor’s home country.

This should be a special one. Check out how we got here and Mansoor’s time in the ring in Saudi Arabia:

VIDEO: Former WCW Star Makes AEW Debut

Welcome back. There have been a lot of wrestling promotions over the years but only a few of them have made any kind of serious impact. You do not see many promotions making a big impression, as there are only so many ways to become big and then stick around. There are a few more today, and now one of them is bringing in someone from another company that did it before.
Former WCW star Crowbar made his AEW debut during this week’s edition of Dark: Elevation, where he was defeated by Joey Janela. Crowbar has wrestled on the independent circuit since leaving WCW, save for a few appearances for Impact Wrestling. There is nothing to suggest that he will be wrestling for AEW long term. Before the show aired, Crowbar released a video on Twitter, thanking the fans and Tony Khan for giving him a chance.
It was a nice surprise. Check out the promo, the show (with Crowbar’s match beginning at around 22:20) and some of his time in WCW:

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – October 11, 2021

Monday Night Raw
Date: October 11, 2021
Location: Chase Center, San Francisco, California
Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton
We’re less than two weeks away from Crown Jewel and last week, Smackdown added a Hell in the Cell match to the card. That could mean Raw needs to add a huge match of its own, but you never can tell with these things. Hopefully this show can add a nice feeling to the Queen’s Crown Tournament, as the Smackdown matches were nearly insulting last week. Let’s get to it.
Here is Drew McIntyre, with his sword, to get things going. He thinks it’s a fun idea that the Scottish Warrior is kicking it off in the home of the Warriors and welcomes us to the show. Drew runs down the Crown Jewel card and says he’ll be winning the WWE Title in the match everyone is going to be talking about. McIntyre has a story from earlier today but here is Big E. to interrupt.

WRESTLING RUMOR: Surprise Split Almost Took Place During WWE Draft

That could have been a stretch. The WWE Draft has come and gone for the year and that means a lot of changes have taken place. There were several major moves made and some of them were rather interesting, with some of the adjustments changes the course of several wrestlers careers. It turns out that there was almost another big change for two wrestlers which never went through.
According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, WWE was considering breaking up the AJ Styles/Omos tag team during the Draft but ultimately changed their minds. The move was ready to be made but some of the higher ups on the show, including an unnamed top wrestler, stood up and said that it was a bad idea. The theory was that Omos is not ready to be a singles star just yet, with WWE listening to the issues.
WWE had seriously considered breaking the pairing of AJ Styles & Omos during draft. To the point where that was the plan. Until people of power (including a main RAW talent) spoke up & expressed thoughts on ..

Top WWE Name Inducted Into International Sports Hall Of Fame

That’s quite the honor. There are all kinds of prizes and championships to be won in wrestling but they are not the kind of things that last. While those titles may not last forever, there are very few honors in wrestling which last forever. Sometimes you see someone receive a special award and it can be rather impressive. That was the case again this weekend.
Stephanie McMahon has been inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame. This makes McMahon the first female executive to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, which was established in 2012. McMahon’s ceremony took place on Sunday October 10 and also included Jay Cutler, Peter Westbrook, Billy Blanks, Marcus Allen, & Ernie Reyes Sr. as part of the class.
Humbled & honored to be the 1st female executive inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame with such a prestigious class. The key messages from all were passion, love, hard work, intention, & believing in yourself – #wordstoliveby. #ISHOF pic.twitter.com/dQeacqcwh..

Backstage News On WWE’s Relationship With Peacock

It’s going well. WWE has a lot of business relationships with some major companies and some of them are very prominent parts of WWE’s day to day operations. You know these when you see them and it makes sense that WWE would want to push them as hard as they can. Now we know a bit more about one of these relationships, including how the other side feels about WWE.
According to Fightful Select, Peacock sees WWE’s performance on their platform as “exceptional”, as more people have been viewing events on the streaming service than at any point before. According to Andrew Zarian, by way of the same report., Peacock would not allow FOX or WWE’s social media platforms to air clips of Summerslam. There is no word on what WWE or FOX thought of the idea.
Peacock has some classic material. Check out what you can find there:

One More Time? Paige Teases Return To The Ring

Not done yet? Injuries can take place at any time in wrestling and some of them are a lot worse than others. While there are some which are going to require some ice and maybe a few days off, there are some injuries which can end a career in an instant. Every now and then you see someone make a shocking comeback, and now someone is teasing adding their name to that list.
WWE’s Paige has posted an image to Twitter showing her ring boots and the Divas Championship, among other mementos from her career, with a thinking emoji. While not confirmed, this would suggest that Paige is considering a return to the ring. Paige has not wrestled since December 2017 due to a neck injury, which took place less than a month after Paige missed over a year due to other neck issues. There is no word on if WWE would allow her to wrestle again.

WRESTLING RUMORS: Roman Reigns Has Matched John Cena In Important Area

That’s an accomplishment. There are certain things a wrestler can do to make themselves feel bigger and sometimes it is something that will catch your eye. While their matches and talking abilities are at the top of the list, most major stars have something cosmetic to go with it. Most legendary wrestlers have their own signature merchandise, and now one wrestler has moved into another level.
According to Wrestlingnews.co, Roman Reigns merchandise has sold at a higher level than any heel in the history of WWE. Reigns merchandise has been selling been selling at a level similar to that of John Cena, though there is no specification as to what period of Cena’s career Reigns is equaling. During his 400+ day reign as Universal Champion, Reigns’ three main shirts have been his Head of the Table shirt, his Acknowledge Me shirt and now his Bloodline shirt.
The clothes make the man. Check out what Reigns has been doing lately:

WRESTLING RUMORS: Update On Brock Lesnar’s WWE Schedule

You might miss him. There are certain wrestlers in WWE who are treated differently than others. That may or may not be a good thing, but it is certainly a reality. Over the years, they have gained a level of respect that means they are going to get some special treatment. Now we are going to be seeing one such star use some of that different status in the near future.
According to Wrestlingnews.co, following Crown Jewel next week, Brock Lesnar is not expected to wrestle again until the Royal Rumble on January 29. Lesnar is currently scheduled to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at Crown Jewel on October 21. This will be Lesnar’s first match since WrestleMania 36 last year following his return at Summerslam in August.
Lesnar is still a force. Check out some of his better moments in WWE:

Backstage Unhappiness In WWE Over Women’s Division Direction

Can you blame them? Back in 2015, Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks made their Monday Night Raw debuts and officially launched the WWE Women’s Revolution. This marked a new path for the women’s division, with a women’s match eventually headlining WrestleMania 35. Things have changed a bit since then though, and it has not been great as of late. It has not gone unnoticed either.
According to Fightful Select, the ending to the Carmella vs. Liv Morgan Queen’s Crown Tournament match from last week’s SmackDown originally had a different ending. Morgan was scheduled to win the match but ultimately lost to Carmella. There is no word on why the change was made. This has caused additional frustration backstage over the women’s division, with wrestlers and staff being unhappy with how things have been going.
What could have been and what was. Check out the match, plus some better moments from the women’s division:

VIDEO: Two Former WWE Stars Sign With New Promotion

They have a new home. The wrestling story of the year has been the number of releases from WWE, as both the main roster and NXT have seen extensive names let go at one point or another. That is the kind of thing that can shake up the promotion in a huge way, but it also has a major impact elsewhere. Some wrestlers are going to go to other promotions and now we know where two more are winding up.
At the end of this weekend’s Impact Wrestling Knockouts Knockdown event, a video aired announcing that the IInspiration would be debuting at Bound For Glory. The team of Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee, are better known as the IIconics from WWE. The team was released earlier this year and had not appeared for a promotion since. There is no word on what they will be doing at Bound For Glory.
This should be good. Check out the announcement plus a look at the team in action:
