Drew McIntyre Does Not Seem Happy With WWE Booking

He might be on to something. WWE is the biggest and most powerful wrestling promotion in the world, but it is not without its share of problems. There are a lot of issues to be dealt with, and one of the most common complaints you will hear about is the booking. Some fans have not seemed thrilled with the booking for a long time now and it seems that a top WWE star may be agreeing with them.
WWE has announced that this week’s Monday Night Raw will feature a rematch of Big E. and Drew McIntyre teaming up to face Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. The teams met two weeks ago on Monday Night Raw with McIntyre and Big E. winning. McIntyre has responded to WWE’s announcement, saying that he is a sucker for first time matchups. McIntyre is scheduled to challenge Big E. for the WWE Title at Crown Jewel later this week.
Well I am a sucker for first-time matches https://t.co/Qbk11M62NW

Former WWE World Champion Seen Meeting With Impact Wrestling Boss

That’s sounding serious. WWE and AEW get most of the attention in the wrestling world but there are all kinds of other promotions out there, many of which have a lot to offer. Several promotions can easily be seen by the masses and that makes for some very nice opportunities for wrestlers around the world. One big name might be about to move on to one of them.
According to PWInsider.com, former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman met with Impact Wrestling executive Scott D’Amore over the weekend. The two met at a hotel bar in Detroit, where the Motor City Comic Con was being held. The meeting was said to last for “a long time” and comes after Strowman has reportedly been in negotiations with Impact Wrestling. Impact Wrestling has been working on surprises for next Saturday’s Bound For Glory event.
He might be bound for Impact. Check out what Strowman can do in the ring:

Miro Is NOT Happy With Being Left Out Of AEW’s #1 Contenders Tournament

He probably should be mad. Every now and then, you find a wrestler who gets your attention with the right character. Something has changed and all of a sudden, the character who has always shown potential is suddenly acting on that potential and everything is clicking. That is the case in AEW, but said wrestler is not exactly thrilled with how things are going.
This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite concluded with the announcement of the World Title Eliminator Tournament. There were eight wrestlers included in the field, with the tournament starting next week. Former TNT Champion Miro was not included though, and complained about it on Twitter, asking if AEW was mocking them because he should be champion. Miro has not wrestled since losing the TNT Title on September 29.
ARE YOU MOCKING ME? I SHOULD BE CHAMPION. pic.twitter.com/CcFTkugbci

WWE Star Loses Title (And More) Over The Weekend

I hope she kept the receipt. Wrestlers are a weird breed as they have a lot of things to keep track of every day. In addition to being in the ring, they are required to go from one town to the next multiple times a week while mainly living in and out of hotels. That can be rather difficult to manage, and now something has gone wrong that was not even the wrestler’s fault.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Rhea Ripley has asked for help finding her lost bag in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ripley said that the bag contained her ring gear, as well as her Tag Team Title belt. She also asked if any fans see her gear being sold online to please let her know. Ripley was in New Mexico for a live event on Saturday night. There is no word on if she will have other gear for her next televised appearance.

VIDEO: Buddy Murphy Has Found A Surprising New Home

He has a future. There have been a lot of moves and changes made to the WWE roster this year and some of them were more confusing than others. Some of the names made for some very odd releases and some of them had fans wondering where the wrestlers were going to go next. Most of the wrestlers have found new homes, and now another can be added to the list.
New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that Buddy Matthews, formerly known as Buddy Murphy during his time in WWE, will be making his debut for the promotion in November. Matthews has been confirmed for the Battle In The Valley event on November 13 in San Jose, California. No opponent has been announced. Since leaving WWE in June, Matthews has appeared at a few independent events.
This could be good. Check out the announcement and the what Matthews did in WWE:

Bryan Danielson’s Current Path Is Leading To The AEW World Championship

Bryan Danielson is hitting his stride in AEW. The American Dragon worked two of the toughest men in the industry on back to back nights and went over in both matches. First, Danielson battled Minoru Suzuki in a brutal war on the October 15 edition of Rampage. He then fought Bobby Fish in a highly competitive match on the following night’s Dynamite.
In both instances, Bryan was definitely on his game. He’s reminding fans of just how good he is between the ropes. He’s also getting back to his catch wrestling roots, which made him a legend in Ring of Honor. There’s no doubt that Bryan Danielson is once again a killer in the ring. So is he on his way to the AEW World Championship?

Return Of The Dragon For many longtime fans, this is the Bryan Danielson that they’ve been waiting for. He’s deliberate with his strikes. He’s stiff with his kicks and he’s violent with his knees. Everything he hits looks painful and every time he runs, he’s full thr..

VIDEO: WWE Stars Take A Squid Game Challenge

That’s a sweet one. Every now and then, something in pop culture will capture the attention of all kinds of people at once. It might be a movie, a song or something else, but it is all anyone is talking about for a long time. You will often see a wrestling promotion try to tie something into such a trend, and WWE has done that as well in connection to a popular new show.
WWE has released a video showing some of its stars taking the Honeycomb Challenge from the Netflix series Squid Game. The goal is to be able to cut a shape out of a piece of honeycomb without breaking the middle piece. Various wrestlers attempt to do so, with the majority being able to succeed. Of the group of wrestlers trying, only one of them fails to make it work.
It’s a pop culture thing. Check out the Honeycomb Challenge, plus some other WWE challenges:

VIDEO: AEW Star Takes Shots At NXT And SmackDown After Dynamite

A shot across the bow(ens). There are a lot of ways to get attention in wrestling and one of the easiest is by using a microphone. A wrestling cutting a promo can instantly get extra eyes on them because it can be done so quickly. Some wrestlers are excellent on a microphone and can get people listening to them in a hurry. That was the case again this week with some lines that will get people talking.
AEW President Tony Khan made an appearance after this week’s edition of Dynamite went off the air. Khan was interrupted by the Acclaimed, with Max Caster delivering another rap. Caster threatened to beat Khan like AEW beat NXT in the ratings and said that the team could wrestle and were better than Top Dolla, referencing the former NXT star who is part of the Hit Row stable.
This is going to get some attention. Check out what Caster said, plus the Acclaimed and Hit Row in action:

AEW Announces Full Details On World Title Eliminator Tournament, Big Names Involved

Get your brackets ready. Tournaments are one of the easiest concepts in all of wrestling as any fan can get the idea. You take a bunch of wrestlers, put them into a field and the last wrestler standing wins. They might win a championship, a title shot or some other kind of prize, but for the most part, they all work the same. That should be the case with another newly announced tournament.
AEW is running another World Title eliminator tournament, with the winner earning a future shot at the AEW World Championship. The tournament will consist of eight wrestlers and begins next week on AEW television, with the finals taking place at Full Gear on November 13. This is the second edition of the tournament, with the first taking place last year. AEW has released the brackets for the tournament, as revealed on this week’s Dynamite:
10
Jon Moxley
Orange Cassidy
Powerhouse Hobbs

There are some potential winners in there. Check out ..

Surprising Title Change Takes Place On AEW Dynamite

History has been made! Titles are one of the most important parts of a wrestling show as they help identify the most important stars in the company. In theory, the best wrestlers are supposed to have the championships, which makes a lot of sense. Sometimes you even get to see some extra championships from outside the main promotion, and now some of them have changed hands.
This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite featured the Lucha Bros defending the AAA Tag Team Titles against a surprise team. The challengers wound up being Las Super Ranas (the Super Frogs), who were revealed to be FTR under masks. FTR went on to win the titles after using one of the title belts, ending the Lucha Bros’ reign at over two years. The win marks FTR’s second title reign in AEW, after they won the AEW Tag Team Titles in 2020. The Lucha Bros are still the AEW Tag Team Champions.
You might need to get used to the new champs. Check out FTR in action:

AEW Dynamite Results – October 16, 2021

Dynamite
Date: October 16, 2021
Location: James L. Knight Center, Miami, Florida
Commentators: Excalibur, Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, CM Punk
We’re on a rare Saturday night due to the MLB playoffs and they are going to have a hard time topping what they did last night with Rampage. Tonight we see the brackets for the #1 contenders tournament, as Full Gear is less than a month away. Add in a AAA Tag Team Titles match and we should be good to go. Let’s get to it.
Guest commentator CM Punk gets his big entrance.
Here’s what’s coming tonight.
Malakai Black vs. Dante Martin Lio Rush is here with Black. Some armdrags put Martin down to start but he sends Black outside. It’s too early for a dive though as Black comes back in and elbows him in the face. A powerbomb sets up a half crab to put Martin in trouble but he slips out in a hurry. That earns Martin and STO and shinbreaker, setting up a kneebar. Martin makes the ropes to escape and goes up top, only to have his springboard blocked. A s..

AEW Officially Signs New Star To Full Time Deal

Add him to the list. AEW has put together a pretty amazing roster over their short history, with a mixture of up and coming stars, established veterans and younger wrestlers getting their first break. It can be fascinating to see what they can do when they are given the chance and now another one is going to be able to do that, as he has officially signed with the company.
AEW President Tony Khan appeared on Busted Open Radio and revealed that Lee Moriarty has signed a full time contract with Ring of Honor. Khan had previously announced that Moriarty had signed a deal with the company but it was not clear what kind of deal the two sides had made. Moriarty has yet to win a match in AEW, but he appeared during this week’s Rampage Buy-In show, losing to Bobby Fish.
Moriarty is pretty great. Check out what he can do in the ring:
