Roman Reigns “THE WORST WRESTLER OF 2016”

In a recent poll conducted by, WWE Superstar and current United States Champion, Roman Reigns, was crowned the Worst Wrestler of the Year. A large section of the WWE Universe voted for Reigns as the worst superstar, and he won garnering 31% of the votes followed by Eva Marie in a close second position with 27% votes.Reigns also emerged as the winner in the Most Overutilized Star of the Year. category. Roman’s misery does not end here. His WrestleMania match with Triple H was awarded as the Worst Match of the Year gaining 32% of the total votes.

Roman received 1229 votes out of a total 4019 votes narrowly beating Eva Marie who had 1094 votes!

This is quite understandable that why the fans are not buying into Roman Reigns considering the fact that the whole lot of 2015 and most of 2016 was invested by Vince Mcmahon into pushing Reigns as his top guy at the cost of many talented wrestlers like Kevin Owens, Rusev and even AJ Styles to name a few, FAILED miserably!

Even now WWE fails to realize that whatever they are trying to do with Reigns is not at all being accepted by the universe and giving him chances after chances at major titles isn’t doing any good to them. Fans were always repulsive to see Roman as a champion and are still not so much intrigued to see Reigns hold the Universal title.

Image result for roman reigns universal championshipHis WrestleMania 32 match against Triple H for the WWE Championship was also voted as the worst match of the year, gaining 32% of the votes and finished ahead of the likes of Darren Young vs. Titus O’Neil, and Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose at the same event.

There was a sudden outrage among some considering the results, to which replied on twitter

Now this should be taken into mindset that the site had nothing to do with the results as it was a fan based poll. Outrage among people is not at all understandable because of this very reason that they themselves voted for these results.

Are some people trying to go to the land of vindication or is this just a pass by. Whatever it is, this fact cannot be ignored that Roman Reigns has not been such a successful experiment and WWE has not been able to find a divinely conferred power in him.

WWE Live Event Results from Miami, FL (12/30): Steel Cage Match, AJ Styles defends, Ellsworth squashes Hawkins

– Tag Team Turmoil Match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship:
American Alpha (c)
def. The Usos, The Ascension, ‘The Fashion Police’ Breezango, The Vaudevillains, and ‘The Beauty and The Man-Beast’ Heath Slater & Rhyno

Eliminations were as follows:

  • Breezango eliminated Slater & Rhyno after Fandango rolled up Rhyno after Breeze was hit with the GORE! GORE! GORE!
  • AA eliminated Breezango with a bulldog from the top giving respect (an ode) to the legendary tag team, The Steiner Brothers.
  • AA eliminated The Vaudevillians when Jordan hit English with an Olympic Slam/Angle Slam.
  • AA eliminated The Ascension when Gable pinned Victor after nailing him with a ‘Chaos Theory Suplex’.

Both men put forth a great performance and it was evident to the fans in attendance. The crowd hated Miz. SHEER HATRED.

– ‘The Fearless’ Nikki Bella

– 6-Man Tag Team Match:
The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton & ‘The Brawler from the Backwoods’ Luke Harper)

Post-match, Cena floored him with the ‘Attitude Adjustment’ (AA) to send the fans home happy.

In the video, Owens was bragging about how much Cash he made and that led Reigns to tweet a shot at Owens’ merch checks. Below is that video:

Two Huge WWE Veterans to appear on upcoming episode of WWE RAW?

‘The Phenom’ The Undertaker and ‘Mr WrestleManiaShawn Michaels have been advertised for the January 9th episode of Monday Night RAW in New Orleans. A screenshot has been circulating online of a sponsored Facebook ad from WWE.

Last time The Undertaker was seen on WWE TV was on WWE Smackdown LIVE and it was assumed that was the show he would be on from there on out.

Also, some days back you can recall, a photo went viral featuring The Phenom walking with the help of a stick accompanied by Executive Producer Kevin Dunn at the sight of LIVE filming of Monday Night RAW episode. So, maybe some talks might have taken place then, between the two parties regarding this unexpected development.

You can see the screenshot of the Facebook post below:

And now, the rumor mill is in full force regarding a match between ‘The Phenom’ The Undertaker and ‘The Big Dog’ Roman Reigns WrestleMania 33.

Previously, rumors of John Cena facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33 were circulating online. Prior to which Cena/Taker would be winning the title from ‘The Phenomenal’ A.J. Styles at the Royal Rumble PPV. But, now everything seems to be up in the air as of this moment.

Ronda Rousey HUMBLED by Amanda Nunes at UFC 207

LAS VEGAS, NV - DECEMBER 30: Ronda Rousey reacts to her loss to Amanda Nunes in their UFC women's bantamweight championship bout during the UFC 207 event on December 30, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images)

After making her long awaited return to the Octagon after a year off from fighting, Ronda Rousey was defeated rather easily by Amanda Nunes. Amanda Nunes decimated Ronda Rousey at UFC 207 as she defeated Ronda in 48 seconds.

The fight was stopped by referee Herb Dean as Nunes bombed Rousey with a barrage of punches to the face.

This is Ronda’s second straight knockout loss and it was crystal clear that she is not in her best shape. Many sources over the internet claim that Ronda might be going in the direction of retirement. For Rousey it will not be such an easy decision to walk out of the pentagon forever.

Smackdown Live beats Monday Night RAW In Ratings

Is Smackdown live the new “A” show on WWE television. The stats agree. With three big titles on the line and the return of John Cena WWE Smackdown Live has managed to defeat Monday night RAW in ratings game this week or should we say the first time since the draft happened. Wrestling Observer has reported that “This week’s SmackDown averaged 2.88 million viewers, just barely beating the 2.85 that Monday’s episode of Raw averaged. SD Live came close to this last time in September when John Cena previously returned, the week where Raw was opposite the first presidential debate, and the loaded 900th episode in November coming close to beating the previous Monday’s episode.”

There is a positive for RAW in the coming weeks as the football season is over but if they continue to go over the same lame storylines and monotonous matches focussing their shows only on four guys; Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho, it won’t be inaccurate to say that Monday night RAW will suffer again in terms of ratings. WWE has been trying their best to throw in some big names like Goldberg to attract audience, which sometimes brings them positive ratings but as far as consistency is concerned SD Live has delivered great in and out action all throughout the time since the draft happened. The crowd’s reaction on both the show were totally different this week considering the fact that both RAW and Smackdown Live were conducted in the same arena, the crowd looked lively and thunderous during SD Live and mostly dead on RAW. Also with Smackdown being the show that promotes talents and every title looks legit and well build, the focus on RAW keeps shifting to Roman Reigns which can be considered as one of the many reasons for this shift in ratings. Many sources over the internet pre-claimed that SD will take over RAW in the last episode of 2016 as they had better bookings and storylines to build upon and considered 27 december as a special PPV and not just a weekly episode.

What do you have to say about Smackdown Live defeating RAW for the first time ever in the ratings game? Do let us know in the comments.

WWE LIVE Event Results from Nashville, Tennessee (12/28/16)

SmackDown Tag Team Champions Chad Gable and Jason Jordan retained over The Vaudevillains, The Ascension, The Usos and Fandango in a Tag Team Turmoil Match.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss retained over Becky Lynch. As good as their TV match, lots of counters and near falls.

James Ellsworth defeated Curt Hawkins with No Chin Music in under 30 seconds. Damn! A new “jobber”

Dolph Ziggler defeated WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz in a non-title steel cage match.

Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton and Luke Harper defeated Apollo Crews, Jack Swagger and Mojo Rawley.

Nikki Bella defeated Natalya. This was pretty physical for a women’s division match. Carmella tried to interfere at one point.

WWE Champion AJ Styles retained over Dean Ambrose and John Cena in a Triple Threat. All three had loud reactions but it seemed AJ was more over than Cena and John Cena had more boos. Cena and Styles had a tug-of-war for the title after the match, which ended with Cena hitting an Attitude Adjustment and posing in the corner to end the show.

Here are the results of WWE NXT Live event results from Osaka, Japan held on december 28, 2016.

John Cena To Face AJ Styles At Elimination Chamber In A 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match

John Cena made his return on december 27, 2016 show of Smackdown live which was the last SDLive of this year and he made it clear that he was there to make his presence felt. Now it being official that John Cena will face AJ Styles at Royal Rumble 2017, it might come as a spoiler to many that this match might go in AJ Style’s favor as they face again at Elimination Chamber 2017 in a 2-out of-3 falls match. The event is taking place live from Phoenix, Arizona, on February 12. This rumor turned into a certainty with the graphic below.

This definitely doesn’t make it certain that John Cena will lose at Royal Rumble 2017 and also it doesn’t give us a clear picture about AJ Styles losing. John Cena winning and AJ Styles challenging him for a rematch at Elimination Chamber looks more legit than John Cena losing and then getting another title shot which might not go down the throat of wwe universe so well. Having said that, The Undertaker is also an “A” factor in this rivalry who is rumored to face AJ Styles/John Cena at Wrestlemania 33. If The Undertaker faces John Cena then it might not come as a surprise if it is not for the WWE Championship because John Cena vs The Undertaker is enough for a huge match and doesn’t require a title.

03a676f9e09e946472464b84fdfaf940aa75c94e_hqOn the other hand, AJ Styles might find a legit opponent in a new draft on SD Live, fitting the bill perfectly is Samoa Joe. Samoa Joe has made a huge impact in NXT and has almost nothing more left to prove there, so a WWE main roster debut at SD Live looks certain and having proven so much Joe might get a title shot at WWE Championship quick. This will definitely not raise any eyebrows as Joe is as lethal as it can be and his storylines and matches in NXT have been GLORIOUS.

Well nothing is for sure as many sources over the internet claim the Ticketmaster’s graphic to be a mistake but such mistakes do not happen often and these graphics are sent for promotional purposes to the arenas. We might have to wait and watch out for how WWE plans this up or is this just a tittle-tattle.
