Long Awaited Monday Night Raw Return Officially Set

They set the date. With so many things going on in WWE at any given point, it can be easy to believe that they have forgotten about a wrestler or two. Sometimes this goes on so long that it becomes almost a parody, especially if WWE shows any kind of interests in someone without doing anything important with them. That is the case again, and now we know something else about what is going on.
Back in October’s WWE Draft, Jinder Mahal and Shanky were sent to SmackDown, leaving Veer Mahaan with nothing to do. Mahaan was soon shown in vignettes saying that he would be coming to Monday Night Raw soon. However, Mahaan has yet to wrestle a match on the show since the Draft and the “coming soon” graphics have continued. This week on Monday Night Raw, the graphic changed, announcing that Mahaan would appear on the show on April 4, offering the first concrete date.
Opinion: I have no idea what to expect from Mahaan once he finally gets in the ring but it is about time. These vignettes had turn..

Battle Of The Monsters Likely For WrestleMania 38

That’s a way to go. We are almost to WrestleMania 38 and that means the show is mostly set. WWE has a large collection of matches already set for WrestleMania but there is always a bit more room to be filled in. With so little time left before the show, some of the matches added might be a bit of a surprise, which seems to be the case again with a certain big showdown.
According to Fightful Select, the current plan for WrestleMania is Omos vs. Bobby Lashley. Omos has been dominating against other opponents, including winning handicap matches, but does not have a WrestleMania opponent. Lashley has not wrestled since the Royal Rumble due to a shoulder injury and has not appeared since the Elimination Chamber event back in February.
Opinion: This is certainly a different way to go but I’m not sure how much of a success it is going to be. At the end of the day, I’m not sure how much Lashley is going to be able to do against a monster like Omos. Lashley has been one of the best things abo..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – March 21, 2022

Monday Night Raw
Date: March 21, 2022
Location: Allstate Arena, Rosemont, Illinois
Commentators: Corey Graves, Jimmy Smith, Byron Saxton
There are two Raws left before Wrestlemania and that means WWE needs to really hammer things home. That is how it should go at least, but you never can tell with what this company is going to do. I’m sure Seth Rollins will be all Wile E. Coyote with one dumb idea after another on his way to his ultimate goal of doing anything at Wrestlemania so let’s get to it.
We open with the glass shattering and it’s….Kevin Owens, in an Austin shirt, jean shorts, and a bald cap. Owens does a good enough Austin impression as he insults the crowd for falling for the gag and promises to destroy Austin once and for all at Wrestlemania. Then the glass shatters again, but fool me once and all that, as Owens gets to laugh at the people. After another threat to Austin, Owens calls for some beers (Steve Austin lagers) but can’t catch them. Therefore he yells at the guy to..

WWE Confirms Another WrestleMania 38 Title Match (And It’s Bigger Than Before)

Put them on the list. We are less than two weeks away from WrestleMania 38 and the card is mostly put together. There are still a lot of wrestlers that need something to do at the show though and that can be a rather narrow selection for some people. There aren’t a lot of spots for some wrestlers but now two of them have their WrestleMania spots officially locked in.
The official WrestleMania Twitter account has announced that RKBro will defend the Raw Tag Team Titles against the Street Profits and the Alpha Academy in a triple threat at WrestleMania 38. This is the first time that the match has been made official after RKBro accepted the Profits’ challenge last week on Monday Night Raw, with Alpha Academy attacking both teams after the challenge was accepted. The match will take place on Night Two of WrestleMania on April 3.

WATCH: Triple H vs. Randy Orton From WrestleMania XXV (25)

The protege seeks revenge. WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube channel in which they show the full match between Triple H and Randy Orton for the WWE Championship from WrestleMania XXV (25).
You can see the match in its entirety below:
[This post contains video, click to play]

From WWE.com:
The match began with not one bang, but two, as Triple H and Orton both hit their patented maneuvers (the Pedigree and RKO respectively) within moments of the contest’s start. The Game dominated the early match, prompting The Legend Killer to move the fight outside of the ring. Keenly aware of the stipulation that would have the WWE Championship change hands on a disqualification or count-out, Orton hoped to leave his opponent battered and broken outside the ring as the referee counted to 10. But Triple H was running on pure fury, repeatedly coming back from the third-generation Superstar’s underhanded tactics.
With his options running out, Orton took out the referee, giving himself a few..

Ring Of Honor TV Results – March 16, 2022

Ring Of Honor
Date: March 16, 2022
Things are getting a bit more interesting, or at least a bit more intriguing, around here as we get to find out what they are throwing out there next. The relaunch is in a few weeks but there are still some shows to fill in. Thankfully that has included opening the video vault and there is some great stuff in there. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
This week’s show is looking at some of the greatest hits of Supercard of Honor, the annual Wrestlemania weekend show.
From Supercard Of Honor on March 31, 2006.
Dragon Kid/Genki Horiguchi/Ryo Saito vs. Cima/Narkui Doi/Masato Yoshino Yoshino works on Horiguchi’s arm to start and they trade armdrags into a standoff. Doi comes in to face Kid (via tags, though they aren’t required here) for a fast standoff so it’s off to Cima vs. Horiguchi. Cima accidentally knocks Doi off the apron so Horiguchi headscissors him out to the floor. Saito comes in and Samoan drops Yoshino and it’s Kid coming in with an ax h..

Update On WWE’s Future WrestleMania Plans

They have a plan. WrestleMania is less than two weeks away and WWE seems to have the card entirely set. What matters now is selling as many tickets as possible, which is quite the trick for the whole situation. WWE does know how to make people care about their shows, but this year is especially difficult with the show taking place over two nights at AT&T Stadium. It might not be a one year challenge though.
Dave Meltzer appeared on this week’s Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast and talked about this year’s WrestleMania. Meltzer mentioned that the backstage feeling in WWE is that all future WrestleMania events will be held over the course of two nights. This year’s event is being seen as a test to see how tickets will sell for a two night WrestleMania, as WWE feels it is better than the seven hour, one night WrestleMania.
Opinion: This is something you kind of had to know was coming, as WWE rarely goes backwards with almost anything they do. Since just shortening the one night WrestleM..

We’re still on the road to Rebellion and this week features the in-ring return of Josh Alexander against Matt Taven. Alexander is back in the company after a few weeks off due to visa issues and now he is probably going to need a small bit of build on the way to his World Title shot against Moose. Let’s get to it.
In Memory of Scott Hall.
The opening recap looks at Josh Alexander’s return and his match with Matt Taven being set up.
Motor City Machine Guns vs. Chris Bey/Jay White White and Shelley start things off with White still not giving him a handshake. Sabin comes in and a double dropkick puts White on the floor rather quickly. It’s off to Bey, who gets headlocked takeovered by Sabin, with Shelley tagging himself in for a kick to the ribs. The Guns start taking turns on Bey’s arm, setting up a couple of kicks to the chest for two. White’s save attem..

WWE Has Another Legend On Their Do Not Mention List

That’s pretty specific. There have been a lot of wrestlers throughout WWE’s history and some of them have made a bigger impact than others. Some names are remembered long after they have left the ring and those people will still be brought up again throughout the years. However, it seems that there are some names that WWE does not want to mention, not even during a special night.
WWE Hall of Famer Torrie Wilson took part in a virtual signing for the Asylum Wrestling Store. During the signing, Wilson spoke about her Hall of Fame induction speech and revealed that she was not allowed to mention Sable. Wilson had included a mention of Sable in her speech as the two of them worked together during her career, but was told to leave it out. There is no word on why Sable was not allowed to be mentioned. Sable had two stints with the company, from 1996-1999 and from 2003-2005. She sued WWE in 1999 for sexual harassment and unsafe working conditions, with the case being settled out of court.

WATCH: AEW Star Releases A New Music Video And Album

It’s something new. Professional wrestlers are very talented people but they do not always get the credit that they deserve. They are out there in a ring multiple nights a week putting on a show for the fans, but there is more to it than that. The training and effort that goes into getting ready for their actual matches is rather taxing, but some wrestlers are able to do something else entirely on the side. Now another star is showcasing his skills outside of the ring again.
AEW’s Shane Strickland has released a new album on Spotify called Tears. The album features eleven songs, with one including a guest appearances by AJ Francis, who is better known as Top Dolla during his time in WWE. Strickland has also released a music video for the album’s title track. Strickland made his AEW debut earlier this month at Revolution and has since gone on to win his debut match.
He is good at this stuff. Check out the video for Tears:

There Is A Much Nicer Side To Brock Lesnar

The other side. There are very few wrestlers in history like Brock Lesnar. He is a mixture of power, amateur wrestling skills and natural athleticism that has probably never been rivaled in professional wrestling. At the same time though, Lesnar has a bit of a reputation for just being in wrestling for the money and having little desire to do much else. However, he might be a bit nicer than he seems.
Natalya was a guest on the Sports Guys Talking Wrestling podcast and revealed that Lesnar regularly gives wrestlers feedback on their matches. Lesnar watches the matches at the gorilla position behind the curtain and then offers wrestlers advice along with areas where they could improve. Natalya went on to say that Lesnar gets a bad reputation for not giving back but he knows what he is talking about with wrestling.
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can make for some fascinating moments, as Lesnar does have a reputation for not being thrilled to be around wrestling a lot of the tim..

NXT LVL Up Results – March 18, 2022

We are well on the way to Stand & Deliver and believe it or not, something actually happened here last week. Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen jumped the Grizzled Young Veterans last week to wrap up the show, which was the first time there was an angle of any kind on this show. Now let’s see how it is not followed up on this week. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Xyon Quinn vs. Damon Kemp Respect is shown to start and Kemp can’t take Quinn down with a single leg. A test of strength has Quinn down but he bridges on his neck and fights back up. Kemp’s crossbody bounces off Quinn, giving us some quality posing time. The cravate goes on as Quinn has a cut on his nose. Kemp reverses into a chinlock and a running shoulder in the corner, setting up another chinlock. Quinn fights up and strikes away, setting up his running punch for the pin at 5:24.
Result: Xyon Quin..
