WWE Might Be Making Another Roster Change Soon

That’s a big turn. WWE has a lot of wrestlers under its banner, to the point where many of them wrestle on different unique brands. It keeps things from getting a bit too hectic, but sometimes changes do need to be made. Wrestlers do occasionally move to and from a roster and now we might be getting ready to see that again, as a new stipulation has been set for a big match.
This week on NXT UK, a contract signing took place for the May 12 United Kingdom Title match between champion Ilja Dragunov and challenger Jordan Devlin. During the signing, a new stipulation was announced, saying that the loser of the match would lose NXT UK. There is no word on what will happen to the loser or where they will be heading next, either in or out of WWE.
Opinion: That is quite the change of pace and I’m not sure how this is going to go. While I can’t imagine Dragunov losing the title, I can’t imagine either of them leaving NXT UK. What worries me is that one of them would head over to regular NXT, w..

WATCH: Former WWE Star Confirms Return To The Ring

Welcome back. Wrestlers have a weird situation when it comes to retiring from the ring. It is rare to see someone completely walk away from the business as there is always the chance that they could wrestle one more match somewhere down the road. It can be a lot of fun to see someone get back in the ring and now a star is making it clear that he is not done yet.
Former WWE star Bo Dallas appeared at the For The Love Of Wrestling convention and confirmed that he will be returning to the ring “really, really soon”. Dallas said that some ventures outside of wrestling have kept him out of the ring but some of those things have wrapped up, allowing him to return to the ring. While he did not say where he would be wrestling, he said that it would be within the next two to three months. Dallas has not wrestled November 13, 2019.
He would know best. Check out what Dallas had to say:

VIDEO: Ember Moon Reveals WWE Holding Meetings To Teach Women To “Dress Sexy”

That won’t go over well. Women’s wrestling in WWE has come a long, long way in recent years. After being treated as little more than a sideshow, women’s wrestling has become a featured part of WWE television and has even headlined WrestleMania. That is a very long way off from the days of eye candy, but it seems that WWE wanted things back to their old ways, at least somewhat, again.
Former WWE star Ember Moon recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet and talked about her final few months in WWE before being released in November 2021. Moon said that her the time stated going badly when Shotzi was called up to the main roster, ending their team in NXT. Despite being told that there was something planned for her, nothing actually took place. She blamed the team being split up on backstage politics, as you have to know how to appeal to the right people, some of whom might not know the team was together in the first place. Moon was also told that she would be turning heel multiple times not nothi..

Not Again: WWE Dealing With Coronavirus Issues

Please, not again. After two plus years, the Coronavirus seems to be starting to coming to an end, or at least slowing down a lot. The wrestling world was shaken up in all kinds of ways and now things are mostly back to normal. Things are still not completely better though and that seems to be the case again as the Coronavirus seems to be taking its toll on WWE.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, “a few” WWE people were out of action over the last few weeks due to the Coronavirus, though no specific names were listed. It is not clear how many changes these cases caused or if the cases involved wrestlers or backstage workers. WWE does not mention when a wrestler misses time with the Coronavirus and does not test wrestlers for the virus.
Opinion: I’m not sure who has had issues with the virus again, but hopefully everyone is already back to full health and there isn’t another full on locker room outbreak. The virus has already taken enough of a toll on everyone and nobody wants to ..

Here’s What Was Changed On AEW Dynamite Due To Hangman Page’s Coronavirus

The original plan. The Coronavirus has changed the way the world works and that includes the wrestling industry. Things seem to have turned around a good bit and gotten that much better, but there are still some issues to avoid. That was the case this week as a major name was forced to miss a show. Now we know what he was originally supposed to do and it was going to be a big deal.
AEW World Champion Hangman Page was forced to miss this week’s edition of Dynamite after being diagnosed with the Coronavirus. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the original plan for the show called for a major angle between Page and CM Punk to set up their title match at Double Or Nothing. Instead, Punk announced the match on his own, with the segment between the two expected next week, assuming Page is able to appear.
Opinion: This seems like it could have been a lot worse as the main story seems to have been covered. The title match is all set up now and the angle can take place next week if it sti..

WATCH: Bobby Lashley Suffers Near Disaster After Ring Rope Breaks At Live Event

That could have been a lot worse. There are so many things that need to go right to make a wrestling match work. In addition to the story and the action itself, wrestlers have to know their way around a ring without having anything go wrong. Sometimes something will go wrong that is completely out of their control though and that was the case this week in a pretty dangerous way.
Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre were facing off in a match this week at a WWE live event in Newcastle, England. During the match, Lashley was whipped into the ropes and the top rope broke, sending Lashley crashing out to the floor. The match continued after Lashley was checked out by the WWE medical team and the rope was replaced after the match was over.
That’s quite the visual. Check out the accident at the show:

Opinion: What matters here is that Lashley seems to be ok as that looked horrible. Lashley is a big man and having him fall down like that with no warnin..

Yes And Yes: Two Former WWE Stars Announce Their Engagement

That’s always nice to see. Wrestlers have a rather hectic schedule which does not leave them a lot of free time. As they have to go from one city to another for every show, their personal lives take a toll because there is only so much time to take care of things. This includes relationships, but now two former WWE stars have managed to do something that is pretty cool.
Former WWE stars Bray Wyatt and JoJo Offerman are engaged to be married, as revealed on Offerman’s Instagram. The two have been dating since 2017 and have a son and daughter together. Both left WWE last year, with Wyatt being released and Offerman leaving as her contract expired. There is no word on whether either of them are expected to sign next.

Opinion: Good for them! It is hard enough for regular people to find happiness in the world and it is even more complicated when you have a job in the wrestling industry. I’m not sure where the..

KB’s Review: Happy 20th Anniversary Wrestling Edition

The major focal point of this week’s Monday Night Raw was the 20th anniversary of Randy Orton’s WWE debut. That is a moment certainly worthy of special attention and WWE kind of nailed it, with a great tribute to Orton plus he got to dominate the main event, winning with a string of RKO’s. In something that has never been a good thing, this got me to thinking about some stuff.
Monday was indeed the 20th anniversary of Orton’s WWE debut and it made me wonder how many more of these anniversary shows we should be seeing. When you think about it, 2002 is as influential of a year on modern wrestling as you are going to find. There are all kinds of things that deserve some special attention and that is what we are going to be looking at this week.
This list is not meant to be exhaustive and is in no random order save for the very last one.
The Chamber Is Lowered The Elimination Chamber made its debut at Survivor Series 2002 as Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff wanted something to top Smac..

REVIEW: Backlash 2017: They Actually Did That

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?

It’s time for another Smackdown exclusive, which could mean things are hit or miss tonight. The card isn’t exactly the best with Jinder Mahal challenging Smackdown World Champion Randy Orton and AJ Styles challenging Kevin Owens for the US Title. Other than that though, this is kind of a stretch for a pay per view. Let’s get to it.

VIDEO: Footage Released From Jimmy Uso’s DUI Arrest, Uso Swears At Police Officer

That doesn’t make it better. Wrestlers are like anyone else in that they have personal issues that take place behind the scenes. Some of these are more prominent than others and unfortunately a lot of them do not exactly paint wrestlers in the best light. That was the case last year and now we can see a bit more about just how bad the whole thing wound up being.
Back in July, SmackDown’s Jimmy Uso was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Pensacola, Florida. Now TMZ has released video of the incident, which shows Uso yelling at the officer and swearing at him. The officer said that he hoped Uso passed his field sobriety tests, sending Uso into a rant against the officer, accusing him of making a remark that he shouldn’t have. The officer tried to calm things down and said Uso had misunderstood. Following his arrest, Uso was eventually ordered to complete classes related to the whole situation and has since done so.
This isn’t the best thing. Check out the video from Uso’s arrest:

Welcome Back: Injured AEW Star Makes Surprise Return, Teases Big Showdown

They have a direction. A return can be one of the most exciting things in wrestling as you don’t know when you are going to see someone pop up again. It can make things all the more interesting out of nowhere, especially if it is something you have been waiting on for a long time. That was the case this week, as a star made his return and already seems to have a target.
Rey Fenix made his return to AEW Dynamite this week and reunited the Death Triangle to take out the House of Black. While not confirmed, this would seem to tease a match between the two teams. Fenix has been out of action with an arm injury since January but has since returned to wrestling in Mexico. There is no word on when he is scheduled to wrestle again in AEW.
Opinion: That is certainly great to see as Fenix was out of action for several months. The injury was so scary that I wasn’t sure how long he was going to be out of action but this seems to certainly be on the better side of things. Hopefully he can stay he..

They Did It Again: Another Title Change Takes Place On AEW Dynamite

There it goes again. There are a lot of titles in the wrestling world and they all have their own unique histories. You can see all kinds of different matches for titles but one constant is that a title change means at least a little something. Some titles change hands more often than others and it can make for some interesting moments when one happens. That was the case again this week in a different way.
The main event of this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw Scorpio Sky defeat Sammy Guevara in a ladder match to regain the TNT Title. Guevara defeated Sky for the title at Battle Of The Belts II, which aired on April 16. Guevara then challenged Sky to a ladder match in exchange for a mixed tag match with participants still to be announced. The win makes Sky a two time champion.
Opinion: The title change was a surprise but Sky getting the title back is a nice thing to see. It still feels weird to see an AEW title changing hands so fast but maybe this is it and Sky gets to hold onto ..
