Former WWE Star Claims Hulk Hogan Nixed Early Randy Savage WWF Title Plans

There’s a game changer. It takes a special kind of star to rise to the top of WWE. Getting there is not easy and it often means making moves that hurt some people in the process. This might not be the nicest thing in the world, but it is the kind of thing that happens with almost every top star. Now a former WWE name is telling a story about one of the biggest stars WWE has ever seen.
During the latest episode of his podcast, former WWE star Mario Mancini told a story about then booker George Scott wanting Randy Savage to win the then WWF Title from Hulk Hogan in 1985. According to Mancini, Hogan did not take kindly to the idea and had Vince McMahon fire Scott as a result. Mancini also said that his career would have been very different had Scott remained as booker, though he did not explain why. Savage would go on to win the title three years later at WrestleMania IV.
Opinion: I’m never sure what to think about situations like this, as while it does make Hogan look like he was out f..

Kurt Angle Reveals Weird Side Effect From Major Surgery

Call it a benefit? While there are parts of it that are a bit different, the athleticism required in professional wrestling is right there with mainstream sports. The wrestlers you see are working hard every time they are in the ring and unfortunately that means they are facing the same risks as everyone else. Now one legend has an interesting story about fixing one of his injuries.
Earlier this year, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle underwent double knee replacement surgery. Angle spoke about the after effects of his surgery on the Kurt Angle Show, revealing that he is now taller after the operation. Angle’s knees were bent from damage and the replacements have made him stand up straighter while also having his legs extend. Prior to his surgery, Angle said he looked like “an old man walking”.
Opinion: That’s one of the weirder situations you’ll see in wrestling but it is great to have Angle so much healthier than he was in before. It would be great to have him able to walk normally agai..

Solo Sikoa Describes Usos’ Reaction To Legendary WWE Crash

That’s a serious fall. There have been a lot of major spots throughout the history of wrestling and some of them are rather memorable for a variety of reasons. Sometimes you see something take place that you did not might think possible but it leaves quite the impact. That was the case with one famous spot and now the relatives of the person involved are telling their version of the story.
During a new interview with SportsKeeda, Solo Sikoa spoke about his father, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, falling off the top of Hell in a Cell at Armageddon 2000. Rikishi was shoved off the cell and into the back of a truck by the Undertaker during the way way main event. According to Sikoa, his brothers, the Usos, were consoling their mother, who may have started crying. Sikoa couldn’t believe that Rikishi took such a fall. Rikishi would not miss any significant time due to the crash.
Opinion: I remember seeing the crash and being amazed that Rikishi actually agreed to do such a thing. It is a huge ..

Conflicting Reports Regarding AEW’s Use Of Thunder Rosa’s Friends

He would know better. There are a lot of people needed to make a wrestling show work. While the stars and familiar names are the ones who receive the most attention, several other people are also included in a variety of roles. That is the case with some of the wrestlers who are there to make others look good and now there is some controversy about a statement involving some of them.
Earlier this year, AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa was forced to take time away from the ring due to a back injury. According to this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, since Rosa’s hiatus began, her friends, including names such as KiLynn King, Madi Wrenkowski and Jazmin Allure have not been used as AEW extras. AEW’s Shawn Dean has responded to the report, denying the report and saying those women are all in good standing with the company. Dean is responsible for choosing the extra talent for AEW events.
It’s the kind of careless reporting like this causing unnecessary issues and problems for no re..

Drew McIntyre Pays Special Tribute To Missing WWE Star

It was a special day. WWE runs several events every single year and some of them stand out for one reason or another. You never know when you are going to see something special happen in the ring at any given time and it can be fun to go back and look at some classics. One of the bigger current WWE stars is doing just that on the anniversary of a special match.
Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has responded to a tweet talking about his Crown Jewel 2021 match against Big E. McIntyre said that the two of them tore it up in front of an electric crowd with the WWE Title on the line. He wrapped it up by saying he missed Big E., who has been out of action since March 11 due to neck surgery and there is no word on when or if he will ever wrestle again.

Lana Explains Why Vince McMahon Dropped Rusev Day Storyline

At least he had a reason. The biggest wrestling story of the year has been the departure of Vince McMahon from WWE. After nearly four decades of McMahon in charge of the company, he has finally stepped down and handed the reins off to someone else. That has caused quite a few changes and now we have a better idea about one of McMahon’s less well received decisions.
CJ Perry, formerly known as Lana in WWE, recently appeared on In The Kliq to talk about some of her time in WWE. Perry mentioned the Rusev Day story, which took place in 2017-18 and saw Rusev become one of the more popular stars in WWE, though he never officially turned good. According to Perry, McMahon never allowed the full turn because he saw Rusev as his “Bulgarian Brute 300 pound crazy villain” and did not want to change his vision. Rusev was released from WWE in April 2020 and debuted in AEW five months later.
Opinion: I can see McMahon’s thinking here, but ultimately you need to take a chance at some point. WWE spen..

LOOK: WWE Possibly Reveals Bray Wyatt’s Newest Associate

We might have a glimpse. There are all kinds of things that need to come together to make a wrestling story work in the right way and one of the most important is finding the right people. Putting someone in the wrong spot can mess up quite a bit, especially if the first impression is wrong. Earlier this week, we might have gotten a look at the newest member of a big storyline.
This week’s edition of SmackDown featured another segment where the Bray Wyatt mask hijacked the show. After a speech, an image of a cowboy appeared on screen and said “Howdy”, though as did not see his face. This comes after WWE trademarked the name “Uncle Howdy”, though it is not clear if this will be a different character or another of Wyatt’s alter egos.
Opinion: We are firmly in the realm of weird with anything Wyatt does or is associated with and this seems to be the same. One would likely be able to assume that this is the Uncle Howdy that WWE trademarked, though how he is connected to Wyatt remains to ..

WATCH: Ronda Rousey Goes After A Fan At WWE Live Event

She’s not happy. There are certain wrestlers who are better as villains that heroes and the key is figuring that out. Finding the right balance and standing for a wrestler is one of the most complicated yet also important things that a promotion can do. Now WWE has managed to get it right with one of its top stars, which was on display after a match over the weekend.

Lana: “I’m Always Open To Go Back to WWE and Tell Compelling Stories and Same With AEW”

Former WWE superstar CJ Perry, known as Lana in WWE, was recently interviewed by In The Kliq Podcast to promote her upcoming role on VH1’s “The Surreal Life.” She discussed a number of topics, including a return to professional wrestling.
Below are some highlights from the interview:
Lana On returning to professional wrestling:
“I’m open to everything in life. If I put my dreams in a box, I wouldn’t be where I am today. So, I mean, Triple H, he’s a genius. Stephanie’s a genius. I got hired by Triple H. He paired me with Miro and helped really cultivate that, in 2014, that story and that gimmick and those characters. He really helped me develop the Ravishing Russian, so I think he has an incredible creative mind. I think he is an incredible storyteller and entertaining. If the story is right, if it makes sense, I’m always open to go back to WWE and tell compelling stories and same with AEW. I’m totally open to that too. I love working with my husband and creating and telling stories…

LOOK: Sasha Banks Back In The Ring Around The World

It could be a start back. There have been a lot of changes in WWE this year and some of them have been rather important. A few of them have involved wrestlers coming back to the company but there was one instance of two leaving, seemingly for good. Their situations have changed a bit in recent months, and now one of them might have taken another big step back towards wrestling.
Back in May, Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out on WWE, vacating the Women’s Tag Team Titles in the process. Neither has appeared in WWE since, though their returns have been rumored in recent weeks. This week, LuchaLibre Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain posted a picture to its Facebook page showing Banks at their training facility. One of the comments said that she was at the facility training with the students. There is still no word on when or if Banks will return to WWE.

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Star Possibly Reverting To Previous Character

Welcome back? There have been a lot of changes in WWE over the last few months, including several wrestlers changing gimmicks or characters. Some of them have become new versions while others have reverted more towards what they have done in the past. That might be the case with another star and it is something that fans have been wanting for a long time now.
This weekend at NXT Halloween Havoc, a vignette aired showing a mask burning. The mask appeared similar to the one work by T-Bar, suggesting that he might be returning to NXT under his previous persona of Dominik Dijakovic, though this has not been confirmed. Dijakovic came up to NXT as part of the Retribution stable and kept his new name after everyone else had moved on.

New First Time Champion Crowned At NXT Halloween Havoc

That’s why they exist. Titles are some of the most important things in all of wrestling as you never know what you might get out of a title change. Someone winning a championship can be a game changer for their career and usually means that they are being elevated up the ladder. Now another title has changed hands and it could be the start of something big for the new champion.
This weekend, NXT presented its annual Halloween Havoc event. The show featured a variety of title matches with a new champion being crowned. In the show’s opening match, Wes Lee won the vacant North American Title, defeating Oro Mensah, Von Wagner, Carmelo Hayes and Nathan Frazer in a ladder match. The title had been vacated when Solo Sikoa moved up to SmackDown. In addition, NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose and NXT Champion Bron Breakker retained their titles.
Opinion: That’s the kind of title change that could mean the start of something big for Lee. It was hard to see him lose his spot and push when his usu..
