WWE Places Restrictions On Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Great Muta Pro Wrestling Noah Match

There are catches. WWE is the biggest wrestling company in the world but they are not the only option out there. In addition to WWE, there are all kinds of wrestling promotions around the world that have quite the followings of their own. Those companies are able to offer major matches, but in this case WWE is working with one of the other promotions. There just happen to be some special rules to follow.
It was recently announced that WWE’s Shinsuke Nakamura would be facing Great Muta at the January 1, 2023 Pro Wrestling Noah event as part of Nakamura’s retirement tour. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the match is being allowed to take place, but with certain restrictions. While Pro Wrestling Noah is allowed to create the hype video and match graphics, but they are not allowed to mention WWE anywhere outside of Japan or in anything written in English. There is no word on if WWE will promote the match.
Opinion: This is one of those things that probably has some busines..

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Reportedly Believes Steve Austin Could Wrestle Again

Yeah that would be big. There are only so many names who have become the face of WWE and arguably the biggest star of all time. You do not see that happen very often but you know it when you see it. Keeping those stars around for as long as possible is something any promotion would want to do and now there is a chance that another one might be heading back to the ring one more time.
The main event of the first night of WrestleMania 38 earlier this year saw Steve Austin defeat Kevin Owens in an impromptu no holds barred match. The match was Austin’s first in nineteen years and he has not been seen on WWE TV since this year’s WrestleMania. However, according to WrestleVotes via Givemesport and a followup Tweet, Austin was reportedly so happy with his match against Owens that WWE believes he would consider wrestling again. The report states that Austin, 57, would listen to a proposal for WrestleMania 39, though there is no word on what he would say to such an offer.
I’ll follow up on th..

SmackDown Results – November 4, 2022

Smackdown
Date: November 4, 2022
Location: Enterprise Center, St. Louis, Missouri
Commentators: Wade Barrett, Michael Cole
It’s time for a taped show as everyone else is already in Saudi Arabia. The main event this week is Gunther defending the Intercontinental Title against Rey Mysterio in a match that has some potential. Other than that, we probably get the final push towards Logan Paul challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Title, because celebrity. Let’s get to it.
Liv Morgan vs. Sonya Deville No DQ. It’s a brawl to start with Deville grabbing some kendo sticks and driving Morgan into the apron. Back in and Deville unloads with the stick but Morgan is smiling. Morgan fights up and sticks her down, meaning it’s table time. That’s broken up and Deville puts the table back under the ring. Back up and Morgan hits a suicide dive to drop Deville and then she does it again. Now we can get the table set up with Liv driving her through it as we take a break.
We come back with a bunch..

More On Upcoming Changes To WWE Events Schedule, What We Know So Far

It’s a different way to go. There have been a lot of changes in WWE this year and some of them have been shifts that can move the company into a different direction. Some of these changes have involved a new path for some of the biggest events in the company, with several matches being changed into something new. Now we know a few more details about where things are going.
One of the changes that has been mentioned in recent weeks has been a move away from themed premium live events. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the only thing confirmed is that there will be fewer of the events, with no word on what could happen to which events. One likely possibility is that events such as Hell In A Cell will no longer take place, though the match itself probably will somewhere. This is part of Triple H’s attempt to move WWE into a direction different than the one Vince McMahon followed.
Opinion: This is more or less what was expected but it is nice to have things a bit more clari..

WWE Interested In Bringing Back Another Former Star

She has their eye. There have been a lot of returns to WWE in the last few months and there is nothing to suggest that they are going to calm down. Some of these returns have come out of nowhere with names who never got a serious chance in the company being brought back. That might be happening again as WWE is reportedly interested in bringing back another past star.
According to Fightful Select, WWE is interested in bringing back Mia Yim. This comes about a year after Yim was released from the company in November 2021 as part of the Retribution stable, where she was known as Reckoning. Since then, Yim has wrestled on the independents and in Impact Wrestling, where she lost to Mickie James at Bound For Glory in October. There is no word on when Yim would be returning, if she does indeed sign with WWE again.
Opinion: This is the kind of signing that could help WWE as the company needs fresh blood where it can find it. Yim was never given a chance to become a serious player in WWE and ..

Impact Wrestling Results – November 3, 2022

Impact Wrestling
Date: November 3, 2022
Location: Sam’s Town Live, Las Vegas, Nevada
Commentators: Matthew Rehwoldt, Tom Hannifan
We are about two weeks away from Overdrive and the card is starting to take shape. While the World Title match is already set, we still need to get the X-Division Title match ready, which is where this week comes in. Odds are there are going to be more tournament matches this week and that should be a good thing. Let’s get to it.
Opening recap.
Eddie Edwards blames PCO for the destruction of Honor No More and invites him to come fight him in the desert.
Opening sequence.
X-Division Title Tournament First Round: Kenny King vs. Mike Bailey Feeling out process to start with King being weary of the big kick. An exchange of rollups get two each until they both try kicks to the ribs. Bailey dropkicks him for two and King is sent outside, but it’s too early for the dive. Back in and Bailey cranks on the leg, with a leglock sending King over to the rope. King’s..

Injury Update On R-Truth (And It Might Be Very Bad)

That doesn’t sound good. Injuries are one of the few universal problems for wrestlers and there is almost no way around them. No matter how much experience or training a wrestler may have, there is always the chance that someone is going to get hurt. That seems to be the case again with a veteran, who could have suffered quite a significant injury earlier this week.
This week on NXT, R-Truth faced Grayson Waller in a match that stopped when R-Truth suffered a leg injury when attempting a running dive over the top rope. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, R-Truth may have torn his quadricep, but that has yet to be confirmed. There is no word on how long R-Truth, 50 years old, would be out of action if that is the case.
Opinion: Anything involving something possibly being torn is never good to see and this could be quite the serious injury. R-Truth is one of the longest standing stars in WWE and it would be a shame to see him missing what would probably be several months wi..

John Laurinaitis Threatened To Fire A WWE Trainer Over Wearing Sweatpants

It’s a corporate thing. WWE is a rather large company and the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. They have their headquarters at Titan Towers in Stamford, Connecticut, which is run like any othe corporate office would be. This can make for some slightly strange issues though and now a former WWE star is explaining how serious things got for him at one point.
During an appearance on Story Time With Dutch Mantell, former WWE coach Tom Prichard told a story about wearing workout gear to WWE headquarters. Prichard said that he felt it was appropriate since he was an in-ring coach. However, former WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis said that he needed Prichard to dress more professionally. Knowing that Laurinaitis would be out of the office the following Monday, Prichard showed up in his workout clothes again. Laurinaitis even called in to check on what Prichard was wearing and threatened to fire him for not dressing appropriately, resulting in Prichard changing.

WWE Set To Likely Break All Time Royal Rumble Record

Records are made to be broken. WWE has been around for a very long time now and the company has quite the history. Over the decades, WWE has put together all kinds of shows and events that take place on a regular basis. These are some of the most famous events in all of wrestling and now WWE seems set to break a record with a show that has been running for well over thirty years.
WWE has announced that the 2023 Royal Rumble will be held at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on January 28. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the show has already sold $4.6 million in tickets, the second highest advance total ever. The show is likely to break the record in the nearly three months left to sell tickets. There is currently no premium live event scheduled between this Saturday’s Crown Jewel and the Royal Rumble.
Opinion: WWE seems to be doing a lot of things right at the moment and this is even more proof that things are going their way. Being able to point to a record like this helps a..

Former WWE Star Reportedly Retired From In-Ring Competition

It was a great run? Wrestlers are unlike other athletes as they eventually have to step away from the ring and move on to something else. That can be a little tricky as you never know when someone is going to wrestle their last match. Sometimes you have to wait to hear the announcement from the source itself, but now we are getting something fairly close enough.
During a recent edition of The Sessions with Renee Paquette, AEW’s Shawn Spears said that former WWE star Tyler Breeze told him he was retired from the ring. The two were training together at their training school and Breeze said he was done in the ring rather than getting ready for a return. Spears says that he can still see the excitement in Breeze’s eyes but Breeze said he is done. Breeze, 34 years old, last wrestled on the June 15, 2021 edition of NXT before being released from WWE.
Opinion: This is sad to hear and hopefully Breeze is not retired at just 34 years old. He is a very talented star and someone who has done ve..

WATCH: Alexa Bliss Comes Up Swinging In Serious Moment

That looked a bit more serious. Wrestlers have a lot to take care of in any given match, with their fellow stars’ safety at the top of the list. It means everything to keep your opponents safe but there is always the chance that things can go wrong in the blink of an eye. That might have happened earlier this week, as one star did not seem happy with what was going on in her match.
The main event of this week’s Monday Night Raw saw Alexa Bliss and Asuka defeat Damage Ctrl to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. During the match, Iyo Sky kicked Bliss in the back of the head, resulting in Bliss firing off some much more aggressive than usual punches. While not confirmed, this seemed to be a genuine physical reaction from Bliss as she may have been angry over the kick. There is nothing to suggest anything happened or was said between the two backstage before or after the match.
It got serious quickly. Check out the exchange between Bliss and Sky:

Former WWE Developmental Star Charged With Assault That Led To Woman’s Death

That’s a lot more serious. Wrestlers are larger than life characters but they are very real life people when the camera is turned off. You are going to hear about wrestlers doing run of the mill things, which is not exactly something that draws the most interest. Every now and then though, you hear about something that is a lot more serious, which is the case in another situation.
According to the Detroit News, former WWE developmental wrestler Kyle Garrett Rasmussen (known as Conrad Tanner in FCW) was arrested on charges of attempting to strangle a man last month. Rasmussen allegedly attempted to choke the driver of a moving car but the driver was able to stop the car and escape. Rasmussen’s girlfriend fled as well but was struck by another car and killed. As a result, Rasmussen is facing a charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. Rasmussen wrestled for WWE from 2009-2010, when he was released.
Opinion: That’s about as serious as it gets and that’s nev..
