Championship Dropped In The Trash On Monday Night Raw, Possibly Finished

That’s it? There are a lot of titles under the WWE umbrella and some of them are among the most well known championships in all of wrestling. It means a lot for a wrestler to win one of them but it can also mean a lot for someone to lose it as well. This time though, someone seemed to have lost a title, though not in the traditional way. She might even be happy about it.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Nikki Cross defeated Dana Brooke to become the new 24/7 Champion. Later in the night, Cross was seen walking backstage where she threw the title in the trash without saying anything. While not confirmed, this could suggest that the title is being dropped, possibly as a call back to the WWF Women’s Title being dropped in the trash on Monday Nitro in 1995. The title had been active since May 2019.
Opinion: At the end of the day, the 24/7 Title has been around for about three and a half years but it has lost a lot of steam in recent months. The title is almost never seen on WWE TV and is r..

Money In The Bank Briefcase Cashed In On Monday Night Raw In Brand New Way

There it goes. WWE offers several annual traditions, many of which involve championships and shots at them. There are ways to earn a guaranteed title shot at some point down the line, but there is one that lets the challenger choose their shot whenever the feel like it. That was the case this week, but it was in a completely different way than it has ever been done before.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins issued an open challenge for a shot at the United States Title. Before the match, Bobby Lashley came to the ring and attacked Rollins, putting him through the announcers’ table. Mr. Money In The Bank Austin Theory came to the ring and cashed in his briefcase for a title shot against Rollins. Theory went on to lose the title shot after Lashley interfered. This marked the first time the briefcase has ever been used for anything but a World Title shot.
Opinion: It was very different, but I like the idea a lot. There was little reason to believe that Theory was going to win t..

Monday Night Raw Results – November 7, 2022

Monday Night Raw
Date: November 7, 2022
Location: Mohegan Sun Arena At City Plaza, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Corey Graves
We’re done with Crown Jewel and now it is time to get ready for Survivor Series. There weren’t many developments this weekend but we get to find out where some of these stories are going on the way to WarGames. I’m curious to see who is going inside the cage and maybe we find some of that out this week. Let’s get to it.
Here are the Usos and Solo Sikoa to get things going. We see a photo of the Bloodline celebrating at the end of Crown Jewel with the Usos promising to beat New Day for the titles on Smackdown. Cue New Day to interrupt with Xavier Woods promising to get the titles back on Friday. The Usos praise New Day’s history and there’s nothing wrong with being the #2s.
Woods calls out the Usos for being coddled in a famous wrestling family, which sends Jey into a rant about the pressure that comes with being part of a legendary f..

Former WWE Star Makes Surprise Return This Week On Monday Night Raw

Welcome back. We are in the middle of several changes to the WWE roster as all kinds of former stars have made their return to the company. Some of these stars have made their impact in WWE before but there are others who have not had the chance to make things go so well. It means a lot for someone to get a second chance and now another star might be getting such a shot.
Over the last several weeks, Judgment Day’s Rhea Ripley has caused problems for the OC, with the OC not being able to do anything about her. The team has promised to find someone to help them with her, but no one had appeared. This week on Monday Night Raw, Mia Yim made her return to WWE and attacked Ripley, seemingly joining the OC. No match between the teams has been set so far. Yim returns to the company after being released in November 2021. She has since wrestled in Impact Wrestling and on the independent circuit.
Opinion: You knew that someone was coming for Ripley but the question was who it was going to be. Y..

Backstage News On Why MVP Missed WWE Crown Jewel

There is your explanation. Starting back in 2018, WWE has presented a pair of events in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia every year they have been able to go. The company is very well compensated for running the shows and it makes a lot of business sense, but there have been some public relations issues as a result due to some of the country’s laws. Now another one has caused a wrestler to miss the latest event.
Last week on SmackDown, Braun Strowman attacked Omos’ manager MVP, laying him out with a series of running powerslams. As a result, MVP did not appear at this weekend’s Crown Jewel event from Saudi Arabia. According to Fightful Select, MVP did not appear at the show because he is a former Muslim turned atheist, which is a violation of Saudi Arabian law.
Opinion: This is one of those situations where there is not much MVP could do to avoid missing the show so something had to be done to deal with the situation. WWE used the most logical method they had available while also tying it..

Roman Reigns Targeted By 38 Year Old WWE Superstar

He could work. Roman Reigns has dominated WWE for over two years now, with one of the longest World Title reigns in company history. Reigns has run through just about everyone that has come in his path, which has not left him with many opponents left to come after him. WWE is going to need to look in a different direction to find a challenger and now someone is calling out Reigns.
Reigns successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against Logan Paul in the main event of Crown Jewel over the weekend. Following his victory, SmackDown’s Santos Escobar sent out a tweet, saying that he was acknowledging Reigns, but when the time was right, Escobar would be coming for him. Escobar debuted on the main roster in October as the leader of the Legado del Fantasma stable.
@WWERomanReigns TRIBAL CHIEF!! Consider yourself ACKNOWLEDGED. When the time is right… I’m coming for you. ?????? #WWECrownJewel #SmackDown

Opinion: Sure why not. W..

WRESTLING RUMORS: Triple H Reportedly Sees Young Star As Next Sasha Banks

She has their eye. There have been some very important developments and changes in the WWE’s women’s division in the last several years, with the Four Horsewomen being the focal point for a long time. The four of them have been huge stars in WWE since their debuts, but at some point they have to be replaced. Now a WWE boss seems to think something special about an upcoming star.
According to WrestleVotes during an interview with GiveMeSport, WWE executive Triple H sees NXT’s Cora Jade as the next Sasha Banks. WWE sees her as having the talent, a unique look and being young at 21 years old. The company feels she has high potential, though there is no word on when she could be promoted to the main roster. Jade signed with WWE in January 2021 and is a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion with Roxanne Perez.
Opinion: I’m not sure how far Jade is going to go in WWE but it would not surprise me whatsoever to see her become a star. She is indeed young and talented, but more importantly you ..

Wrestling Fans Erupt Over Controversial Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley Ending

I don’t think that was the plan. There are a lot of things that need to come together to make a wrestling match work but sometimes all of the planning in the world might not be enough. One little thing going wrong can cause some a major issue and that seems to have taken place again in a crucial spot of one of the bigger WWE matches to take place in recent memory.
The opening match of Crown Jewel 2022 saw Brock Lesnar defeat Bobby Lashley in controversial fashion. Lesnar kicked out of the corner to land on Lashley for a pin, though Lashley’s shoulder was up. As a result, fans have voiced their displeasure with the finish on Twitter, with several being upset about how the match ended in controversy and should have gone in another way. Here are some of the reactions:
This would be pretty damn good. But the way the Crown Jewel match ended, I don’t think we’ve seen the last Lesnar v. Lashley. https://t.co/TZdTVvhMzo

Paul Heyman Believes Brock Lesnar Now Respects This WWE Superstar

That’s a big compliment. There are very few wrestlers in history who have felt like true attractions but Brock Lesnar fits the mold. Lesnar is like almost no one else in wrestling and that has been the case for a long time now. It means a lot to be considered in the same breath as someone of that caliber, but now Lesnar may have become impressed by one of his fellow current stars.
Brock Lesnar defeated Bobby Lashley in their match at Crown Jewel 2022. During a recent edition of After The Bell, Lesnar’s longtime associate Paul Heyman said he believed Lesnar now respects Lashley despite not doing so in the past. Heyman suggested that it was due to Lashley’s recent efforts, with Lesnar being left feeling that he had a fight on his hands with Lashley.
Opinion: This is one of those strange levels of praise that you do not see very often as Lesnar is not someone who frequently goes positive. It makes sense as Lesnar and Lashley have several similarities, from amateur wrestling to mixed mar..

WWE Has An Interesting Plan For Its Women’s Division

They have a goal in mind. There are a lot of very talented women in WWE and they have done a great job in bringing the women’s division up to a level that few believed possible. It has been quite the ride to see what has happened over the years and it has been very positive. At some point you need some fresh talent though and WWE seems to be looking into acquiring it.
According to Fightful Select, WWE is looking to restock its women’s division with experienced stars. This includes the re-signing of Emma, along with interest in bringing back Tegan Nox and Chelsea Green. However, Green told Fightful that she has not been contacted about a return and has independent bookings set through March 2023. There is no word on other women potentially returning.
Opinion: This is one of those ideas that makes a lot of sense, as signing a bunch of new stars to use as filler can damage their future potential. People like Emma, Nox and Green are names that have been around for a bit, either in WWE or..

Former Record Setting World Champion Set To Become Free Agent

There’s a big free agent. The wrestling world has expanded in a huge way as there are so many promotions with so many talented wrestlers around the world. That means there are all kinds of stars available for fans to see, which opens up a lot of different options. Now one of those stars is ready to move on elsewhere, meaning there will be quite the resume on the open market.
According to PWInsider.com, former NWA World Champion Nick Aldis has announced that he will be leaving the NWA, via a private Instagram video. Aldis said that he has given his notice to the NWA, where he is not happy with the company’s creative direction. He is currently scheduled to face Odinson at Hard Times 3 on November 12, with his NWA contract running through January 2023. There was no word on where Aldis might sign next.
Opinion: This is going to make things interesting for a lot of promotions, as Aldis will certainly attract a lot of suitors. He is a talented star who has been a big deal in multiple promo..

Why WWE Star’s Crown Jewel Performance Was More Impressive Than It Seemed

That’s rather impressive. There are all kinds of wrestling matches to be had, some of which add something extra to ramp up the violence. These matches make things even more intense than usual and it feels special when you see one of them take place. Another was held over the weekend, and now we know something about it that made things all the more impressive.
This weekend at WWE Crown Jewel, Drew McIntyre defeated Karrion Kross in a steel cage match. However, according to PWInsider.com, McIntyre wrestled the match while “extremely sick”. McIntyre missed some of the run throughs for his match but was adamant about wrestling no matter what. There is nothing to suggest that McIntyre will miss any ring time due to his illness.
Opinion: This is one of those things that makes me even more impressed by McIntyre. He is one of the few wrestlers you never hear about missing shows or causing any issues whatsoever. Now he is working through an illness and made a big match anyway. You wouldn’t ha..
