NXT Results – December 6, 2022

December 7, 2022 • Admin

NXT Date: December 6, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Booker T., Vic Joseph It’s the go home show for Deadline and I’m not exactly expecting much tonight as a result. The card is mostly set, though we do need to determine the final entrants in each Iron Survivor Challenge. That means a pair of triple threat matches and they at least have some stakes going in. Let’s get to it. Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifying Match: Axiom vs. Von Wagner vs. Andre Chase The rest of Chase U is here with Chase. A running boot rocks Wagner at the bell but he’s fine enough to headlock both of them at once. That’s broken up and a double shoulder puts Wagner on the floor. Axiom loads up a dive but gets rolled up for two by Chase. That’s enough for Wagner to get back up and send them both outside as we take a break. Back with Chase hitting a top rope superplex on Axiom, who lands near Wagner. Either way, Axiom heads to the floor and it’s a slugout between Chase and W..

Monday Night Raw Date: December 5, 2022 Location: Capital One Arena, Washington DC Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Corey Graves We are on our way to…well the Royal Rumble, but the show is so far away that it is hard to be that interested so far. As for this week, the Usos will be defending the Tag Team Titles against Matt Riddle and Elias, who are such a longstanding team. Other than that, it’s hard to say what we might be seeing this week so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Tag Team Titles: Usos vs. Matt Riddle/Elias The Usos, with Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa, are defending. Earlier today though, Riddle annoyed the Bloodline so Elias got beaten down as a result. Actually hang on as the Usos say that the match is off due to Elias being beaten down. Therefore, whoever wants a shot can come get one. Cue Riddle to say that beatdown wasn’t cool, but Sami calls him “my dog.” Riddle: “My dog?” Sami says he knows what it takes to be ucey, because he is a certified uce-ologist. Sikoa taking ou..

December 6, 2022 • Admin

That doesn’t sound so bad. There are all kinds of injuries a wrestler can deal with and once one takes place, the question instantly becomes how bad things are. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMOR: WWE Interested In Signing Second Generation Star This week on Monday Night Raw, an announcement was made that Drew McIntyre was medically disqualified from his upcoming Tag Team Title match with Sheamus against the Usos this week on SmackDown. WATCH: AEW’s Thunder Rosa Records First Song

December 6, 2022 • Admin

It’s another field. Wrestlers are very talented performers in that they are able to go to a ring or grab a microphone and convince fans to watch something that they are doing. That is more difficult than it seems but it can be very effective when it is done right. It also isn’t the only talent that wrestlers have though, and now one prominent name is getting to showcase another one. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Perfect Timing: AEW’s Saraya Undergoes Ironic Surgery AEW’s Thunder Rosa has released a video on her Instagram showing her recording her first single in a studio. Who Where? Kurt Angle Claims Brock Lesnar Wanted In Impact Wrestling (And Got Turned Down)

December 6, 2022 • Admin

What could have been. There are all kinds of wrestlers in the world today but very few reach the top level of stardom. Occasionally you will see someone break through to the next level, but it is even rarer to see someone become an icon. Now we know what one of the biggest names in wrestling today almost did, which could have completely changed the wrestling world. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMOR: WWE Interested In Signing Second Generation Star During a recent edition of the Kurt Angle Show, Kurt Angle revealed that Brock Lesnar almost joined him in Impact Wrestling (TNA Wrestling at the time). However, Impact Wrestling turned down the offer, saying they weren’t going to pay it. It is not clear when this took place, though Angle debuted in Impact Wrestling in September 2006 and Lesnar signed with the UFC in October 2007..

WRESTLING RUMOR: WWE Interested In Signing Second Generation Star

December 6, 2022 • Admin

The next generation. One of the most important things a wrestling promotion can do is make sure that there is fresh talent being brought in. At some point the older wrestlers have to be phased out of the spotlight with new stars being moved up. That does not work if the stars are not brought in at some point and now WWE might have their eyes on another second generation star. REVIEW: NXT TakeOver: R-Evolution: The Future Is Then

December 6, 2022 • Admin

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net, starting today. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? NXT Takeover: R-Evolution Date: December 11, 2014 Location: Full Sail University, Winter Park, Florida Attendance: 400 Commentators: Rich Brennan, Alex Riley, Corey Graves This should be a big one as we have a huge showdown in the main event for the NXT Title with Sami Zayn getting his rematch against champion Adrian Neville after a screwy finish to their last match. It suits her. There are some incredible athletes in wrestling and a lot of them do not get the credit that they deserve for being so skilled at what they do. A big part of this is their fitness and athleticism, both of which can be overlooked. Sometimes you will see a wrestler get the accolades that they deserve for their efforts and another one certainly did that recently. Just Not Quite: WWE Legend On Why Shelton Benjamin Didn’t Become A Main Event Star

December 6, 2022 • Admin

The missing ingredient. There have been a lot of talent in WWE throughout the years but only a small group of them have reached the top of the company by becoming the World Champion. It means a lot for someone to reach that level, but not everyone is able to get that far. Now one legend is weighing in on why one of his contemporaries never made it all the way to the big one. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Huge Beatdown On Monday Night Raw, Popular Star Taken Out On Stretcher During the most recent edition of The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt Hardy was asked why Shelton Benjamin only made it as far as he did in WWE. Hardy said he felt that WWE did not see Benjamin as a larger than life personality, which limited how far he could have gone. Hardy also said that he believed if Benjamin came up today, he might have had a higher ceiling due to the modern style. Benjamin was quite the marvel in certain ways. It might be a bit. There are a lot of reasons to write a wrestler off of television, whether it is for the long term or the short term. Sometimes it might be done as a way to freshen someone up or as a way to boost up another wrestler for taking out their rival. It can lead to quite the return later on and now it seems that WWE has done both of those things at the same time. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Ouch: Drew McIntyre Dealing With Medical Issue, Upcoming Title Match Changed This week’s Monday Night Raw featured Matt Riddle and Kevin Owens unsuccessfully challenging the Usos for the Tag Team Titles. Following the match, Solo Sikoa attacked Riddle, including hitting him with a Samoan Spike and a running hip attack in the corner. Sikoa then gave Riddle another running hip attack with a chair around Riddle’s neck. As a result, Riddle was taken out on a stretcher. There is no word on how long he could be out of action. It was a busy night. Check out the setup, the match and the attack aft..

Ouch: Drew McIntyre Dealing With Medical Issue, Upcoming Title Match Changed

December 6, 2022 • Admin

Get well soon. There are all kinds of ways for a wrestler to get hurt and you never want to see it happen. Injuries can come out of nowhere and change up a promotion’s plans all at once. That can lead to some last minute changes that can make things interesting, and that might be the case again as a WWE injury has caused a change of plans for an upcoming title match. Former NWA World Champion Barry Windham Suffers Serious Medical Issue, GoFundMe Set Up

December 5, 2022 • Admin

That’s bad. Wrestlers have to deal with a lot of health and injury issues when they are in the ring and those things can catch up to them in a hurry. Over time they are going to build up no matter what, but those are not even counting other health concerns they might have outside of the ring. That would be a fight. Wrestling is a unique sport as while it is presented as a legitimate fight, the finishes are pre-determined and the wrestlers are tasked with working together to make the match work as well as possible. However, there are also questions about who would win should these matches be legitimate contests. Now one legend is chiming in on who he thinks could beat a top WWE star. Does that make it a handicap match? There are so many wrestlers on the WWE roster that it can be difficult to find a way for everyone to get involved. Friends Forever. WWE recently ran a live event in Rochester, New York, which featured a match between Seth Rollins and Austin Theory for the United States Championship. Rochester also happens to be the hometown of Brodie Lee, who tragically passed away in December 2020. Following the match, Rollins paid tribute to Brodie and said the following: “Mr. Brodie Lee…he’s from here. He passed away a couple of years ago around this time, and this is the first time I’ve been here with a microphone in my hand in this city to tell him how much I miss him and how much I love him. I just wanted to say tonight was for him. Every time we are in Rochester, in my heart that means we’re here for him. Below are some highlights from the interview: Zayn On being a part of the Bloodline storyline: “What is interesting and really rewarding for me is that I kind of treat everything I do like it’s the most important thing on the show, but this is the first time where it’s actually the most important thing on the show, so it’s the first time that like my level of investment is returned equally by the fans level of investment and that’s because I’ve been plugged on the top of the card with the guy that they’re used to investing all their energy into which is Roman and The Bloodline. The prizefighter didn’t like the prize. Kevin Owens was recently a guest on the After The Bell podcast with Corey Graves, revealing that he was not a fan of his 2016 Universal Championship Run. Below is a highlight from the interview: “I used always to want more and more and more. What’s next? What’s next? What’s next? There are so many moments over the past eight years that I didn’t properly enjoy because I was always worried about what was the next thing. When I was Universal Champion, I had this incredible run with Chris Jericho and so many great moments, so many fun moments that people still talk about today. I’m ashamed to say that I really did not enjoy that as much as I should have.” Owens won the title after Finn Balor was forced to vacate the championship due to injury shortly after becoming the first-ever champion. Not So Far: Scarlett Reportedly Pulled From SmackDown Dark Match, What May Have Happened

December 5, 2022 • Admin

Not so fast? There is a lot that comes together to make a wrestling show work, but the most important is of course the wrestlers themselves. This means a promotion has to keep the roster fresh and moving in order to prevent things from getting stale. For some reason though, a WWE star was not allowed to return to the ring this week despite being ready to do so. According to Fightful Select, there were plans for Scarlett to return to the ring during a SmackDown dark match after this week’s show. The original match would have seen Scarlett, Karrion Kross and Damian Priest face Matt Riddle, Braun Strowman and Liv Morgan. However, the match was changed, with Legado del Fantasma taking Kross and Scarlett’s place. According to 411mania.com, Scarlett was never told about the match and it was likely the result of either a match being merely pitched or some sort of internal error. Scarlett has only wrestled twice for WWE, most recently in a June 2021 dark match. Scarlett is a star in her own ..
