Popular Independent Wrestler Is Now An Actual Doctor

One of the most popular female wrestlers on the independent circuit has now just become a doctor, according to Ringside News. Independent wrestler Britt Baker is no stranger to the WWE world. In fact, her boyfriend in Adam Cole is the current North American Champion within the yellow brand, as his partners hold the NXT Tag Team Championship. Baker, who is scheduled for The Bullet Club’s All In show later this year, has now achieved yet another milestone in her growing career. Baker has graduated from her school and is now a dentist. While she will remain an active wrestler for the foreseeable future, it is nice to know she always has a backup plan in case she ever had to retire from in-ring competition. Update On United Kingdom Promotions Possibly Coming To WWE Network

There’s more than enough room. The WWE Network has been an amazing gift to wrestling fans. Starting just over four years ago, the WWE Network is now the go to place for the most wrestling content in the world, including the majority of WWE’s material from history and hosts of other promotions’ video libraries. However, there’s other wrestling in the world to be seen, so what can they do? Well how about coming under the WWE umbrella? According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is a strong chance that Insane Championship Wrestling (a Scottish promotion) and Progress Wrestling (a British promotion) will be brought to the WWE Network in the near future. This idea has been considered for a long time now but Vince McMahon reportedly changed his mind again and allowed the idea. Those things have dominated Monday Night Raw and Smackdown for the last few weeks now and it’s burned out a lot of my interest in the upcoming pay per view. First Match Set For Takeover: Chicago II

That’s a heck of a start. With less than a month to go before Takeover: Chicago II, there isn’t actually anything on the card. You can guess what some of the matches will be just by paying attention to television, but you need something a little concrete on the card instead of matches that might take place. WWE seems to have picked up o the lack of matches and added one the day after TV instead of just announcing it on the air, but at least it’s something. As announced today on WWE.com, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch will be challenging the Undisputed Era’s Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly. The match was set up last week with Lorcan and Burch scoring a pin in a six man tag also involving Pete Dunne, defeating the Undisputed Era, also including Adam Cole. Lorcan and Burch have been helping Dunne in his quest for revenge after Dunne turned on him at Takeover: New Orleans, costing Dunne the Tag Team Titles in the process. Major Update Regarding CM Punk’s Status For ‘All In’

Ever since the upcoming ‘All In’ show was confirmed for Chicago, the wrestling world has been questioning if the event will see the long-awaited return of CM Punk to the squared circle. Even with the show three months away, speculation is at a fever pitch. The night before ‘All In,’ Punk will sign autographs in accordance with the show at the Pro Wrestling Tees store. By all appearances, the “Best in the World” is preparing for his return to wrestling and it’s easier to speculate when he’s literally being seen backstage. Impact Wrestling Date: May 24, 2018 Location: Impact Zone, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Josh Matthews, Don Callis We’re back to an old problem that this show has had many times before: not much is really standing out. Sure there’s some good stuff going on, but it’s not exactly sticking as something that leaves much of an impact. How The Styles vs. Nakamura Stipulation Changed NXT Booking

It was confirmed during SmackDown Live this week that Shinsuke Nakamura will be facing AJ Styles at Money In The Bank in a Last Man Standing Match. With this news coming out, Ringside News is reporting that the decision to have the Last Man Standing match directly conflicted and subsequently changed the booking Triple H had done for NXT. According to Ringside News, by way of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this decision changed the intended match NXT TakeOver: Chicago between Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano. The match, which was originally supposed to be a Last Man Standing bout, has been forcibly changed to a Street Fight. Had WWE not went this route for the WWE Championship feud, the NXT rivalry between the former #DIY Tag Team Champions would play out significantly different. NXT Takeover: Chicago II Tickets Not Selling Well

When you can’t beat All In. One of the biggest stories of the wrestling year (and probably far higher than that) is the fact that Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks sold out the Sears Center in Chicago for their upcoming All In event. It’s a big city and that’s a big arena, but it’s not the only wrestling coming there this year. Next month, WWE will be in town for Money in the Bank and of course an NXT Takeover special. However, one of these things is not like All In. According to ringsidenews.com, while the Money in the Bank show is selling quite well, Takeover: Chicago II is currently sitting at about 7,000 tickets sold. The site of the show, the Allstate Arena, holds about 18,000 people for wrestling events and has hosted a WrestleMania before. It should be noted that as of this morning, no matches have been announced for Takeover: Chicago II. I bet this would sell some tickets. Johnny Impact To Appear on “Survivor” In The Fall

Wrestling to surviving on an island is a natural progression, right? It was announced last night on the Season 36 Finale of Survivor, that current Impact superstar Johnny Impact will be one of the castaways on the upcoming 37th season of the show. Filmed in Fiji’s Mamanuca Islands, the show will air this fall on CBS. This had been rumored a couple of weeks ago, but was confirmed last night. This is not the first time that a professional wrestler has appeared on the show; former WWE Diva Search winner Ashley Massaro competed on Survivor: China in 2007. However, she didn’t last very long, as she was the second person voted out of the game. Update on Jason Jordan’s Return to WWE

It had been previously reported that Jason Jordan underwent neck surgery back in February, and has been out of action since then. According to a report from PWInsider, Jordan is scheduled to be at this week’s Raw from Richmond, Virginia. It is unknown at this time if he will be used on camera, or is just going to be backstage. Jordan has been off of WWE Programming since the February 5 episode of Raw, when General Manager, and father, Kurt Angle, sent him home. Big Update On The Mae Young Classic II Tournament

Save the date. Tournaments have always held a special place in wrestling fans’ hearts but now they’ve turned into a much bigger deal in WWE. It’s rare to not see at least one big tournament a year at this point, often at Full Sail University. Whether it’s the Cruiserweight Classic or the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, there’s almost always something big going on. Now, we might know the taping dates for another major WWE tournament later this year. According to Wrestling Observer Live, the Mae Young Classic II will be taped on August 7 and August 8 at Full Sail University. If the same pattern as last year is used, the two days of tapings will be put together into four episodes each and released on the WWE Network at the same time. Last year’s tournament, won by Kairi Sane, saw several future NXT names make their debuts, such as Sane, Shayna Baszler, Dakota Kai and several others. There are no names announced at this point. Corey Graves Suffers “Injury” During SmackDown Live

This ain’t ballet. Wrestling is a dangerous sport. You often hear about injuries taking place in wrestling, which could come from all kinds of things. It might be a botched spot, a slip in the ring, someone hitting you very hard, or just a freak accident. The injury bug has bitten someone else in WWE and this time, it’s not even someone actually wrestling. The Latest On All In Being Streamed For Fans Who Can’t Attend The Show

All In is getting closer with every passing day. As such, the news continues to grow as fans prepare to head to Chicago for one of the largest independent wrestling shows in history. Ringside News has provided an update on the potential for All In to be streamed. This follows a story we recently covered, where Cody [Rhodes] had explained to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio that they may be unable to stream the event for people at home. This is due to the fact that several talents signed on to appear at the event have contracts with different promotions and it will be hard to get clearance for every one of them to appear.
