Top Independent Manager May Be Heading To WWE

Welcome to the team? WWE is the biggest and most powerful wrestling company in the world but there are only so many spots available in the promotion. A wrestler trying to get into the promotion has to have something going for them to get in, but WWE will hire them if they have proven their worth. It seems that WWE might have found someone who has done just that. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Natalie Class, formerly known as Salina de la Renta in Major League Wrestling and on the independent scene, will be closing her online store at the end of the summer. While not confirmed, this could mean that Class has come to an agreement with a promotion who does not allow such stores. WWE has been interested in Class in the past. Samoa Joe May Be Returning To The Ring In A Familiar Setting

He would be welcome. WWE has released several wrestlers from the company this year in a few different waves. With so many people leaving WWE in such a short amount of time, it opens up more than a few possibilities of where they could wind up. One of the places might be WWE all over again, as the company could change their minds. Now one name might be coming back to WWE in a specific way. According to Fightful Select, there has been a discussion in NXT about Samoa Joe returning to the promotion in a wrestling capacity. Over six names have mentioned the possibility, with some going so far as to say that it will take place. However, there is nothing to suggest that anyone in a position of authority in WWE is behind a push to bring him back to the company. Samoa Joe wrestled in NXT from 2015-2017, during which he became the first ever two time NXT Champion. Two WWE Wrestlers Injured Friday Night

It can happen to anyone. Injuries are a horrible thing to see in wrestling as they can change a wrestler’s career in the blink of an eye. Some injuries are a lot worse than others but it is never a good thing to see a wrestler get injured in any way. Unfortunately there is no way around them, and there were a pair of them in a single night in a single company this week. Two WWE wrestlers were injured on Friday night. WWE has announced that Montez Ford suffered a partial rib fracture and torn cartilage due to an attack by Otis during SmackDown. Otis attacked Ford after interfering in a match between Ford and Chad Gable. This was not announced during SmackDown and may be a storyline to advance the Street Profits vs. Alpha Academy feud. The second feud took place on 205 Live, as Sunil Singh was injured during a match against Grayson Waller. Singh announced via Twitter that he had dislocated his right shoulder during the match and included photos of himself holding his shoulder and sitti..

Make sure you leave it there. This year has seen a lot of changes to the WWE roster, with several names taking their leave from the company. Some of these have been a bit more surprising than others, but what matters is that the wrestlers are no longer part of the WWE. That means a few changes for everyone involved, including something that might impact them later. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, released WWE talents will not be allowed to sign autographs under their WWE names following the end of their ninety day no compete clauses. The wrestlers would have to sign either their real name or another ring name that they come up with later. There is no word on what sort of penalty they could face should they be caught. That’s a place to go. Earlier this year, several names were released from WWE in a few strings of roster shakeups. Some of these names were rather surprised, but it was pretty clear that a lot of the wrestlers would wind up going somewhere sooner rather than later. With some, it was a matter of when their no compete clause would expire, and now we know where one of them will be heading when their time is up. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former WWE star Aleister Black is expected to sign with AEW when his ninety day no compete clause expires. However, the deal is not a guarantee. It is believed that Black’s no compete clause expires on August 31, which would make him available for AEW All Out on September 5. I’d call him big show worthy. We are just over two months away from Summerslam and that means it is time for WWE to start getting things ready for one of their biggest shows of the year. There are all kinds of things that they need to get done before they head to Las Vegas and that includes putting together some top names on the card. That is what they are doing at the moment and now they might have another huge name. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is hoping to have Edge appear at Summerslam. There is no word on what Edge would be doing or who he would be facing. Edge has not appeared since WrestleMania 37, when he lost in the main event of night two to Roman Reigns in a Universal Title match, also involving Daniel Bryan. Four New AEW Special Events Set For July

Four pack. Wrestling is starting to recover from the Coronavirus pandemic as things are finally beginning to get back to normal. One of the biggest changes back is having fans in the arenas again, though it is going to take a little extra nudging to get them back in the building. There are a few different ways to do that and AEW is trying it on a pretty big scale. This week on Dynamite, AEW announced four special editions of Dynamite which will air in the month of July. The events will run on July 7, July 14, July 21 and July 28, with the first show serving as AEW’s return to touring on the road, including having full capacity fans in attendance. Above all else, Main Event has mixed things up a bit in recent weeks and above all else, that makes the show more fun. Main Event went so far overboard with the same wrestlers in the same matches every week and it is nice to see a few things being switched up. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Mansoor vs. Drew Gulak Gulak takes him to the mat without much effort to start for all of a few seconds. Back up and Gulak slaps him in the face a few times but Mansoor gets in a shot of his own. A headscissors with an armbar has Gulak down for a bit this time and it’s a regular armbar to make it worse. Gulak slips out of that in a hurry and starts working on the leg, but adds in a chinlock with the legs still tied up. Mark your calendars. Things are starting to get back to normal in the wrestling world and that can make for some interesting changes. According to Fightful Select, WWE is planning to hold an NXT Takeover event on Sunday, August 21, the night after Summerslam. It’s kind of his job. We are now in the summer and in WWE, that means it is time to start getting ready for one of the biggest shows of the year. That would be Summerslam, which will be held in Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday August 21. Those details are a bit of a departure from the normal and now we know a bit more about what is going on. According to the Mat Men Podcast, WWE President Nick Khan is behind the decisions to hold Summerslam in Las Vegas and is the one pushing for singer Cardi B. to host the show. Cardi B. has not been announced for the show and there is no word on if she is interested in the spot. This year’s Summerslam will be the first ever in Las Vegas and the first held on a Saturday. These efforts are part of WWE’s plan to make this year’s edition of Summerslam into the WrestleMania of 2021, including various top stars. Change of scenery. One of the more interesting wrestling stories of the year so far as been Impact Wrestling working with All Elite Wrestling. This has included some names appearing outside of their main promotion, including Kenny Omega becoming the Impact Wrestling World Champion back in January. Becoming champion means you have to defend it though, and now Omega is going to have a bit of a unique title defense. This week’s edition of Impact Wrestling featured a special summit between executives Scott D’Amore, Don Callis and Tony Khan. During the segment, an announcement was made that Omega’s title defense against Moose at Against All Odds on June 12 will be held at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Florida. Another Wrestling Promotion Returning From Hiatus

It is starting to look normal again. We are still in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic but things have started to get a little bit closer to normal. Above all else, major wrestling promotions have started to allow fans back into attendance, but there have been some promotions who have not even run shows in a rather long time now. One of the biggest left will be coming back soon. Pro Wrestling Guerrilla has announced that they will be returning with their first live event in over a year and a half on August 1. The event will be the promotion’s first since December 20, 2019. There have been no matches, wrestlers or any additional information announced so far. Keep it warm for him. WWE may have a lot of television time every week but it does not have infinite time. Part of the problem is that at some point, something has to be cut off, which can make it a little annoying to have some wrestlers not around as often. Sometimes those wrestlers just need a chance to do something else, which might be what we are seeing at the moment. According to PWInsider.com, WWE is intentionally leaving Bray Wyatt off of television. There is no backstage head on Wyatt and it is currently not clear why he has not been appearing. Wyatt is not in any trouble for his match with Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37, as it went exactly as planned. History has been made. There are all kinds of titles under the WWE banner these days and some of them are among the most prestigious in the wrestling world today. Throw in the fact that a longer title reign could make things all the more important and titles are even better. A long form champion losing their title can be a big deal and that was the case this week. This week on NXT UK, Meiko Satomura defeated Kay Lee Ray to become the new NXT UK Women’s Champion. The title win ends Ray’s record setting reign at 649 days, or over two thirds of the title’s history. Ray originally won the title back on August 31, 2019. Satomura’s win makes her the fourth champion in the title’s history, following Rhea Ripley, Toni Storm and Ray. The title match was Satomura’s second shot at Ray’s championship, following a loss in her first opportunity on March 4. Following her loss, Satomura won a five woman gauntlet match on the May 13 edition of NXT UK. Satomura made her NXT UK debut back in February, ..

Sometimes you have someone who is more infamous than famous though and those are often the names that people remember more. One wrestler with that kind of reputation has done something new outside of the wrestling world. Ariane Andrew, formerly known as Cameron in WWE, has released a music video for her song Born With It. The video was remixed by Damon Sharpe, who has worked with artists such as Ariana Grande and Jennifer Lopez. The video features a variety of images, including a car and a police officer, under a variety of colors and filters rather than showing regular images or shots of people.
