LOOK: Brock Lesnar’s New Photo Sparks Online Backlash From Fans (Slightly Graphic Photo)

September 23, 2022 • Admin

They don’t seem happy with him. There are no people in wrestling, or almost anywhere else for that matter, like Brock Lesnar. In addition to being one of the most successful WWE stars of all time and a champion in multiple other sports, Lesnar is known for his love of hunting and fishing. However, one of those things has landed him in some hot water, at least from some fans. Lesnar has posted a photo to Twitter showing him holding the head of a buck that he likely killed himself. The photo has resulted in a series of negative reactions from fans on Twitter, condemning Lesnar for killing the animal. Lesnar has not responded to the tweets. Lesnar last wrestled for WWE at Summerslam in July and is expected to return to the ring at Crown Jewel in November. AEW Has Two Surprising Names Producing Matches And Coaching

September 23, 2022 • Admin

a Now we know some of the newer people who are helping put those matches together. According to Fightful Select, both Luther and Serpentico have been working as backstage producers for AEW in recent weeks. Luther produced an unspecified match on this week’s Grand Slam edition of Rampage. It is not clear how long or which matches Serpentico has been producing. The two of them have teamed together as the Chaos Project, mainly working on Dark and Dark: Elevation. Opinion: This is a bit of a surprise but it does make sense to have some fresh minds producing some of the company’s matches. It can help a lot to have someone new get in on the job, if nothing else to take pressure off some of the more established producers. Serpentico and Luther might not be the top stars in AEW but they seem to have some skill in this area so maybe there is something to it. What do you think of the move? Who else would make a good AEW coach? Let us know in the comments below. Please share this story on Face..

“Don’t Tell Me You’re Tired, Shut The F*** Up”, Kevin Nash BLASTS CM Punk

September 23, 2022 • Admin

Call it a generation gap? There have been all kinds of talented wrestlers in the world over the years but a lot of them have come from very different backgrounds. You can see all kinds of wrestlers with varying personalities and characteristics and some of them can not see eye to eye. That is the case with two names from different generations who seem to see things a bit differently. During a recent edition of his Kliq This podcast, former World Champion Kevin Nash talked about CM Punk’s recent comments at the AEW All Out media scrum. Nash took issue with Punk saying that he was tired and beat up. Nash mentioned that Punk is 42 years old and nine years ago mocked Nash, then 55, for still wrestling and having bad knees. Here are some of Nash’s comments, with transcription courtesy of Wrestlingnews.co: The dude didn’t wrestle for 10 fu**ing years. It’s like a ‘75 Eldorado with 102 miles on it. Motherfu**er, don’t tell me you’re tired. Shut the fu*k up. All you guys at AEW, you bunch of..

Former WWE Star Out Of Action With Very Unique Disease

September 23, 2022 • Admin

That’s a unique one. There have been all kinds of injuries and issues that have kept wrestlers out of the ring over the years. Most of the medical issues you hear about are injury related, but sometimes a condition will pop up that makes things that much odder to hear. That seems to have been the case again, as a former WWE star is out of action for a pretty unique reason. New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that former WWE star Kushida will miss his scheduled match on Friday due to a case of hand, foot and mouth disease. Kushida was diagnoses with the disease after being looked at for a skin condition. There is no timetable for Kushida’s return to the ring. Kushida returned to New Japan back in June following a three year stint in WWE. Opinion: That is the kind of thing that you do not hear about very often and hopefully Kushida is back to normal a lot sooner rather than later. The disease can be a rather nasty one and Kushida will need some time off to recover. Kushida did well w..

WWE Executive Explains “Up Or Out” Rule Regarding NXT Releases

September 23, 2022 • Admin

That’s their policy. There are some incredibly talented stars in NXT, which is an important destination for several wrestlers. It is the official developmental territory for WWE and being there means that a wrestler is on their way to the main roster. That is in theory at least as some wrestlers never quite make it. Now a WWE executive is explaining the process behind making it or not. During a new interview with Wrestlerant, WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Operations and Strategy James Kimball explained the WWE’s “Up Or Out” rule. The idea is that if a wrestler is signed to a developmental deal but does not appear as a regular on NXT TV in two years, they will likely be let go. WWE’s position is that there are so many wrestlers that need to be rotated in that they do not have the space to spend on someone moving so slowly. There is no word on who has been released from WWE under this policy. Opinion: This might sound a bit harsh but it does make some sense. At the end of the day..

AEW Had Huge Main Event Planned For All Out

September 22, 2022 • Admin

They had an idea. AEW has been in the middle of all kinds of changes in recent months and things are only starting to settle down. This has included things behind the scenes as well as in front of the camera, some of which have impacted the other. The company had to make some changes and rewrite some of its original plans. Now we know what one of those original plans was going to be. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the original plan for the main event of All Out would have seen CM Punk defending the World Title against Maxwell Jacob Friedman. However, the match never took place as Punk broke his foot, resulting in the creation of the Interim World Title and a unification match taking place at All Out instead. There is no word on if AEW will ever run Punk vs. Friedman again, though Punk is set to be out of action until next spring due to a tricep injury. Opinion: It can be interesting to see what was going on before everything changed and that is what we got to see here. Punk v..

“Please Respect Our Privacy” – Bloodline Member Pushes Back Amid Tension In Roman Reigns’ Group

September 22, 2022 • Admin

They’re working through it. There have been a lot of stables throughout WWE’s history and some of them have been incredibly successful. WWE still presents multiple stables to this day, with one of them being among the most dominant that the company has ever seen. That does not mean things are perfect though, as it seems the team might be having some issues at the moment. Over the last few months, Sami Zayn has been named an honorary member of the Bloodline, which has led to some issues with Jey Uso. This led to Uso costing Zayn a match against Ricochet last week on SmackDown. Zayn has since put out a statement, saying that the Bloodline is fine and asking fans to respect their privacy at this time. The rest of the team has yet to comment on the situation. Things got a little tense but The Bloodline is doing just fine. Please respect our privacy at this time. pic.twitter.com/DF6RKAt4w9 — Sami Zayn (@SamiZayn) September 21, 2022 Opinion: Zayn continues to be one of the most interesti..

WATCH: AEW Star Announces Severe Injury, Needs Surgery

September 22, 2022 • Admin

That’s a rough one. Injuries can happen to anyone at anytime in wrestling and that is never good to see. You can see someone get hurt and put on the shelf for any length of time as some of them are more serious than others. Unfortunately someone can be hurt out of nowhere, just off of a fluke situation and that seems to be the case again with a current AEW star. AEW’s Ruby Soho has released a video announcing that due to a broken nose suffered at All Out, she will be forced to undergo surgery. As a result, she will be missing her booking at 1PW in England. There is no word on how long Soho will be out of action due to her injury. Soho was injured during a match on the All Out Zero Hour show where she teamed with Ortiz in a losing effort against Tay Melo/Sammy Guevara. You don’t want to hear something like this. Check out Soho’s announcement: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is one of those things you never want to hear and hopefully Soho is back in the ring s..

AEW Champion Reportedly Injured During Rampage Tapings (Contains Mild Spoilers)

September 22, 2022 • Admin

It can happen to anyone. An injury is the kind of thing that can take any wrestler out of action in the blink of an eye. You never want to see someone get hurt but no matter how well trained a wrestler may be, there is always the chance that someone is going to be injured. That might have taken place this week in a show that has yet to actually air on television. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Wardlow suffered an injury, possibly to his leg, at some point during the taping of AEW Rampage Grand Slam. Wardlow teamed with Samoa Joe to face Tony Nese and Josh Woods. There is no word on if the injury took place during or after the match, though Wardlow was able to take part in a post match angle. The match will air this Friday night on Rampage. Opinion: Hopefully Wardlow isn’t too badly hurt, if he is hurt whatsoever, because you never want to see someone put on the shelf. Wardlow is still one of the bigger deals in AEW and it would be awful to see him miss time with any kind of a..

Stephanie McMahon’s Favorite NXT Heel Is Gone From The Company

September 22, 2022 • Admin

That’s some high praise. Despite what took place earlier this year, the McMahon family continues to be the most powerful and influential in wrestling history. An endorsement from a member of the family can change everything for a wrestler as they give someone a huge rub. That seemed to take place again with an NXT star but now he is already gone to another promotion. During a recent interview on the Sessions podcast, AEW’s Swerve Strickland told a story of having a match with Bronson Reed in NXT. Strickland said that he wrestled more aggressively than usual and after the match, Stephanie McMahon called Strickland her favorite heel in NXT. Strickland would eventually be called up to SmackDown with the rest of Hit Row before being released less than two months later. Opinion: This is a great illustration of proof that everything can change in the blink of an eye, especially with in the world of wrestling. To be a favorite of a McMahon and then be in another promotion so shortly thereaf..

Triple H Says THIS WWE Rule Will Not Be Changing

September 22, 2022 • Admin

Not going to happen. All of the recent changes in WWE have shaken up the company in all kinds of ways. Some of these changes have been very notable while others have been a bit more subtle. That is a good balance to have, but there have also been some things that have not changed, and now we know one of the bigger long absent idea that will not be returning in the future. During a new interview with the Ringer, WWE Executive Triple H made it clear that blood would not be returning to WWE television. Triple H said the world has evolved and that blood is unnecessary as what they do is already dangerous enough. Now bloody wrestlers are expected to roll to the floor to be checked if they are injured with referees putting on gloves. There is nothing to suggest that there will be exceptions to the rule. Opinion: This is the kind of decision that I like to see as there is no need to have wrestlers bleed during a match. It was a nice thing to see back in the day but getting rid of it is a sm..

WATCH: Another Celebrity Makes AEW Debut, Set For Rampage Appearance

September 22, 2022 • Admin

There is something to it for AEW. Celebrities have a long history in wrestling and that is a rather logical situation. It makes sense for wrestling fans to be interested in an outside coming into their world and see what happens. At the same time, the celebrity’s fans like to see what is going to happen to someone they care about. That is going to be the case again later this week. This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite featured a backstage segment between Jade Cargill and Diamante. The two are scheduled to face off for Cargill’s TBS Title on this week on Rampage, but Diamante had promised to bring a friend to deal with Cargill’s Baddies. Diamante introduced rapper/reality star Trina as her friend, which resulted in a staredown with Cargill. Rapper Cardi B. responded to the moment on Twitter, earning an invitation from Cargill. MY MOOD ALWAYS! pic.twitter.com/eF6gcwrHVM — Cardi B (@iamcardib) September 22, 2022 Run it up! Let me know when you want to come through ?? @iamcardib https:/..

REVIEW: Extreme Rules 2016: Extreme Rematches

September 22, 2022 • Admin

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Extreme Rules 2016 Date: May 22, 2016 Location: Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey Commentators: Byron Saxton, John Bradshaw Layfield, Michael Cole It’s a night of rematches but in this case we have a few bonus stipulations to carry things forward. The main event is another match between WWE World Champion Roman Reigns and AJ Styles, in this case under Extreme Rules. The question here is who interferes and helps either guy pull off the win. Let’s get to it. On the pre-show, here are the Dudley Boyz with someth..

WATCH: What Happened After AEW Dynamite Grand Slam

September 22, 2022 • Admin

It’s at the end of a big night. There are a lot of things that take place at any given AEW Dynamite taping, including Dark: Elevation and Rampage being taped on the same night. Sometimes it can be even bigger than that though and that was the situation this week. Dynamite took place at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City, which was worthy of a big post show moment. The main event of this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw Jon Moxley defeat Bryan Danielson to win the vacant AEW World Title. Following the match, Blackpool Combat Club coach William Regal came to the ring to present Moxley with the title, only to have Danielson take it away to end the show. In a clip circulated online, Danielson presented Moxley with the title after the show, leaving Moxley to celebrate. It was a nice moment. Check out what happened after Dynamite: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is the kind of moment that is a bit of a relief, as it would have been a stretch to have Danielson ..

Dynamite Results – September 21, 2022 (Grand Slam)

September 22, 2022 • Admin

Dynamite Date: September 21, 2022 Location: Arthur Ashe Stadium, New York City, New York Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, Taz It’s probably the biggest Dynamite of the year as we are in a stadium for Grand Slam. As expected, the show is going to be a huge one with a World Title match between Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley for the vacant championship. Other than that, Swerve In Our Glory is defending the Tag Team Titles against the Acclaimed in an All Out rematch. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Ring Of Honor World Title: Chris Jericho vs. Claudio Castagnoli Castagnoli is defending and starts fast by gorilla pressing Jericho onto the top rope. A big boot knocks Jericho outside and Castagnoli follows him, only to have Jericho hide behind former Ring Of Honor owner Cary Silkin. That’s enough for Jericho to get in some cheap shots to stagger Castagnoli but he’s right back with the uppercuts back inside. They fight to the apron and fight over a suplex before forearming it out ..

Multiple Title Changes Take Place At AEW Grand Slam

September 22, 2022 • Admin

That’s how the big shows go. Titles are what matter the most in wrestling and that has been the case for a very long time now. Fans understand that the wrestlers who hold championships are some of the most important stars in the promotion and a title change means a lot. That was the case this week, as multiple titles changed hands on one of the biggest nights of the year. AEW held its annual Grand Slam episode of Dynamite this week, where three titles changed hands. First up, Chris Jericho used a low blow to defeat Claudio Castagnoli for the Ring Of Honor World Title. Next, the Acclaimed defeated Swerve In Our Glory to win the Tag Team Titles. Finally, Jon Moxley defeated Bryan Danielson to win the vacant AEW World Title. All-Atlantic Champion Pac successfully defended his title against Orange Cassidy and Toni Storm retained the Interim Women’s Title over Britt Baker, Athena and Serena Deeb. Opinion: That is the kind of pay per view level amount of title changes that you almost never..

BREAKING: Big Former WWE Star Makes Surprise AEW Debut

September 22, 2022 • Admin

There’s a big one. There are multiple ways to change things up in wrestling and one of the best ways is to have someone make a surprise debut. Having someone show up out of nowhere can make for a great moment. It can be difficult to figure out a way to bring in someone for such a moment but AEW has managed to pull it off with a former major WWE star. Saraya, formerly known as Paige, made her AEW debut this week at AEW Grand Slam. Following Toni Storm retaining her Interim AEW Women’s Title, Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter and Serena Deeb attacked her. Saraya made the save and invited all of them for a fight but no one accepted. Saraya did not get physical and it is not clear if she will have a match, as she was forced to retire from the ring due to neck injuries. Opinion: That’s a major surprise and it worked as the kind of moment AEW was hoping to have. Saraya is a name that had been rumored for AEW for a long time but it was hard to imagine it actually happening. I’d like to believe she ..

Ronda Rousey On WWE: “Get Your S*** Together” About Pushing A Superstar

September 21, 2022 • Admin

She’s a fan. There are certain people in WWE who are just bigger stars than others. They are some of the bigger names who can do things that others can’t and as a result, those people have more influence. It can help a lot to see what they might want to do and in some situations, WWE will even listen. That might be what is happening again with a current top name. WWE’s Ronda Rousey recently appeared on the Baddest Stream On The Planet, where she was asked which WWE star should get a bigger push. Rousey said that Shayna Baszler should get a bigger chance, saying she was one of the best people on the show and that she needs “them to get their s*** together and realize it”. Rousey and Baszler are part of the Four Horsewomen and have trained together in WWE. Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise as Rousey and Baszler have been friends for a very long time now. The two of them are from a similar background and it would make sense for Rousey to want someone like Baszler to receive a pus..

AEW Holds Another Backstage Meeting Before Grand Slam

September 21, 2022 • Admin

This one was different. To say that AEW has been going through some things in recent weeks would be an understatement. The company has been dealing with some major issues, with the biggest being the backstage issues. Such a problem needs to be dealt with and now AEW seems to be coming out the other side with the situation, as might have been demonstrated this week. According to Fightful Select, AEW held another talent meeting before this week’s Dynamite Grand Slam special. AEW has held similar meetings in recent weeks but this one was said to be much more laid back and more of a pep talk before a major show. A veteran said that the locker room has been better over the last three weeks than it has been in a long time, with a source saying that it was “addition by subtraction”. Opinion: This has been one of the weirdest and most tumultuous times that AEW has ever seen and it is good to see that things are finally starting to calm down. AEW is in a weird place at the moment and thankful..

AEW Held Discussions With Former WWE Champion

September 21, 2022 • Admin

They were talking. WWE has long since been the biggest and most powerful wrestling promotion in the world and that is not likely to change anytime soon. However, for the first time in decades, a well funded promotion has risen up to be the second biggest company and shares some of that big stage. AEW has taken the secondary spot along with some former WWE stars. It seems that they had even tried to pick up another. According to Fightful Select, AEW and former WWE star Paige had some conversations about potentially working together in some capacity. There is nothing to suggest that they reached an agreement, though it is possible that something could change in the future. Paige has retired from the ring due to a series of neck injuries, though she has said that she could wrestle again in a special moment. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that gets a few eyebrows going up but I would be surprised to see Paige getting back in the ring. Paige is a very talented star and was a big bridg..
