Bayley’s SummerSlam Match in “Jeopardy”
Nearly a week ago, Top Rope Press reported Bayley, the current No. 1 contender for the RAW Women’s Championship, suffered a shoulder injury during her match with Nia Jax on the July 31st episode of RAW. The WWE did not reveal at the time whether she would be removed from her SummerSlam pay-per-view match against Alexa Bliss as they waited for her shoulder’s swelling to ease and further examination.
In a new video update, Cathy Kelley said Bayley’s match may indeed be in jeopardy.
Based on WWE’s RAW preview, they noted “it doesn’t seem likely that The Huggable One will be getting back into the ring anytime soon.” Further news regarding her shoulder will be addressed during tonight’s RAW. Bayley has not commented much about the injury except that she’s trying her best to keep positive. On Sunday, she tweeted an image of this year’s SummerSlam poster, which does feature her alongside several WWE superstars including Bliss, Shinsuke Nakamura, Brock Lesnar, and John Cena.

Former IWGP Heavyweight Champion and mixed martial arts fighter Yoshihiro Takayama is reportedly paralyzed from the neck down. Takayama’s injury might have stemmed from an incident during the DDT wrestling promotion’s May 6th show. He reportedly attempted a Sunset Flip move but fell on his head. His injury was highlighted by WWE’s William Regal and Samoa Joe on Sunday.
