It was reported last month that WWE was planning on a Team Shane McMahon vs. Team Kevin Owens match for the upcoming Survivor Series event.
Bryan Alvarez indicated on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Live that those plans still appear to be in place. Sami Zayn will be on Owens’ team, while AJ Styles will be on Shane’s team. Alvarez was unable to confirm, but it’s possible each team will have either four or five Superstars. Alvarez didn’t elaborate if the match would be elimination style or not.
Finn Balor vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship is also being rumored for the match. At one point there were plans for a WWE Four Horsewomen vs. UFC Four Horsewomen match, but those plans may have been nixed.
