WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Interested In Bringing Back These Former Champions

Two more on the list? There have been all kinds of wrestlers returning to WWE in recent months and those returns might continue taking place for a little while to come. Several names are interested in working for the new regime and there are some who are in contact with WWE. Now it seems the company is at least interested in having two more former names return.
New reports are suggesting that a pair of former champions are either on their way back to WWE or at least on the company’s radar. According to Ringsidenews.com, WWE is interested in possibly bringing back Matt Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder. There is no word on if Ryder is interested in returning to the company. Second, also according to Ringsidenews.com, a member of WWE’s creative teams “would bet” that Bronson Reed, also known as Jonah, will be back before other WWE stars. Boss Time: Update On Vince McMahon’s Relationship With WWE In Retirement

He deserves a break. This year has been a very eventful one in the wrestling world and there is nothing to suggest that those changes are wrapping up anytime soon. The biggest change of them all has been Vince McMahon retiring from WWE after decades in charge. McMahon doing something other than running WWE seems hard to fathom and now we have a better idea of what he is doing now that he is away from the company.

According to Fightful Select, WWE sources have said they do not hear from McMahon very much these days. Instead, McMahon has reportedly been out more often than when he was running WWE. This included a birthday party with some WWE superstars earlier this year, plus being seen at a restaurant with a woman in New York City last month. McMahon left WWE in July.

Keep It Going: AEW Adds Two More Title Matches To Full Gear

And so, it grows. We are less than a week away from AEW Full Gear and normally that would mean the card is all but set. However, that is not the case with this show as there are several wrestlers who have nothing to do for the show so far. AEW has a tendency to make some matches at the last minute and now they are adding some more matches to the show’s card.
There were two more matches added to the Full Gear card this week on AEW Dynamite. First up, Death Triangle issued a challenge to an unnamed team for a Trios Titles match, with the Elite being announced as the challenges. Also on the show, a three way brawl broke out between TNT Champion Wardlow, Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs. Later in the show, a three way match was announced between the three of them, with Wardlow’s TNT Title on the line. Full Gear takes place on Saturday, November 19.
It was a busy night. Check out how the challenge was set up:

Dynamite Results – November 16, 2022

Dynamite
Date: November 16, 2022
Location: Total Mortgage Arena, Bridgeport, Connecticut
Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Tony Schiavone, Ian Riccaboni
It’s the go home show for Full Gear and that means the card could still use some work. If nothing else, we need to have some more matches in the Contenders tournament as the finals are still set for Saturday. Other than that, odds are we’ll be hearing from MJF and Jon Moxley. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Bryan Danielson/Claudio Castagnoli vs. Chris Jericho/Sammy Guevara
It’s a brawl to start with the Club elbowing away at Guevara and Jericho, followed by a surfboard to Guevara. Back up and Guevara hits a dropkick to take over, allowing Jericho to come in for the chops in the corner. Danielson fights out and scores with the running dropkicks to Guevara but tries once too often. Jericho gets in a cheap shot from the floor and we take a break.

Upgrade: Health Update On Missing Wrestling Legend

That could have been worse. There are all kinds of issues that a wrestler can deal with while they are in the ring, some of which are a lot more serious than others. Those issues do not go away after their careers are over though and sometimes the issues get even worse. That was the case for a certain wrestling legend, but now things have taken a turn for the better.
AEW’s Jake Roberts has announced that he is no longer requiring oxygen and will be back in AEW again. This comes after Roberts has been missing from AEW television for several months due to reported health issues, including reports that he had been receiving oxygen through a tube. Roberts has mainly served as Lance Archer’s manager during his time with the company. It is not clear when Roberts will be returning to AEW TV.

Sweeten The Pot: Contract Details On Returning WWE Superstars

Sign them up. There are several wrestling promotions in the world but there are only a handful that are able to run full time. Those promotions are able to keep wrestlers around on a more secure basis and they often include full time contracts. Signing one of those deals can change a wrestler’s career and now we know some more about a few recent signees to the biggest promotion in the world.
Several WWE stars have returned to the company in recent months, including three of the four members of Hit Row. According to Fightful Select, the three (Top Dolla, Ashante Thee Adonis and B Fab) all signed three year deals, which will expire at the same time in 2025. Some of the recent returning stars (not necessarily Hit Row) are also able to work on some outside projects and appear on other platforms.
The returns have done well. Check out some returning names:

Switch Em Up: WWE Reportedly Changes WarGames Plans Due To Injuries

What could have been. We are in a different time in WWE as there are several things taking place that would have seemed more than a bit strange in years past. This includes the introduction of some new concepts, or at least concepts that have not been used in WWE before. We will be seeing another of those later this month, but now WWE seems likely to be changing plans.
On Saturday November 26, WWE will present Survivor Series, which will include a pair of WarGames matches, the first ever on the main roster. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, there is a chance that WWE may have to make a change to both matches due to injury. This includes Kevin Owens, who is out of action with a knee injury, and possibly Candice LeRae, who was penciled in for a spot in the match but has not appeared on WWE TV in recent weeks. There is no word on who could replace the two of them.
These two have talent. Check out what they can do when they are healthy:
