In addition to everything that takes place on the microphone and in the ring, a wrestler’s appearance needs to make them stand out in some way. Occasionally a change needs to be made and now a longstanding WWE star has done just that with a bit of a flashback.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Akira Tozawa appeared in his old tights and with blond hair, rather than the martial arts attire and black hair he had been sporting for years. Tozawa interrupted the Baron Corbin vs. Drew McIntyre match by distracting Corbin’s manager John Bradshaw Layfield, costing Corbin the match. This comes a week after Tozawa posted a photo of his old gear with a caption saying “thank you”, though it is not confirmed that he was talking about the upcoming change.

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Boss Triple H Sees Monday Night Raw Star As “Reclamation Project”

He’s worth the effort. It takes talent to make it to the WWE and everyone there has earned their way to the company. There are different ways to make it and some take more time than others, but it means something to be on the roster. Occasionally a wrestler will lose some of their prestige and have to be built back up in one way or another, and that seems to be happening with a former World Champion.

According to WrestleVotes by way of GiveMeSports, Triple H sees Finn Balor almost as a “reclamation project”. After seeing what has happened to Balor in recent years, Triple H is reportedly looking to build Balor back up. Triple H has pushed Balor multiple times in NXT as the two are said to have a positive relationship behind the scenes. Balor is currently scheduled to face AJ Styles on Saturday at Survivor Series.

Bryan Danielson Reveals Retirement Plans in 2024; Comments on Potential Last Match

Bryan Danielson is widely considered one of the best wrestlers in the world. A lot of people felt that after the CM Punk situation that The American Dragon was the perfect guy to take the AEW World Championship and reestablish its prestige.

After months of speculation, MJF won the AEW World Championship on Saturday night at AEW Full Gear. Since his return, MJF has been pushed as an emerging babyface with a “clean victory’ over Jon Moxely being a point of pride for his character.

They might be on to something. We are less than a week away from WWE Survivor Series, which will feature a pair of WarGames matches. There will be a men’s and women’s edition of the match, with the former having a completely set lineup. The women’s match still has a single spot to be filled and it is not clear who will take the slot. However, some fans certainly have a theory.

Over the weekend at AEW Full Gear, Jamie Hayter won the Interim Women’s Title by defeating Toni Storm. The Interim Women’s Title was created was created on September 4 when Thunder Rosa, the official champion, was forced out of action due to an injury. AEW star Shawn Spears tweeted that “This ‘interim’ stuff is bull****. You’re either the Champion, or you’re not.” There is no word on when the interim moniker will be dropped, but AEW President Tony Khan has been considering making the change.

They Weren’t Happy: Sheamus Reveals Backstage Heat Over Major Career Milestone

He was the new guy. One of the most difficult things for a wrestling promotion to do is elevate new stars into the main event scene. It is something that has to be done every now and then though, no matter how tricky it might be. The right wrestler has to be found in order to make it work, but even then there could be some issues. Now we know how things went a bit off when a new star was elevated.
During an appearance on Out Of Character with Ryan Satin, Sheamus talked about how he was received backstage after winning the WWE Title from John Cena at Tables, Ladders And Chairs 2009. Sheamus had only been on WWE TV for about five and a half months when he won the title and said that nobody was very excited over what happened. Instead, Sheamus had backstage heat from some of the wrestlers who had been around for years and never got that kind of opportunity. Sheamus has gone on to become a four time World Champion during his WWE career.

Saraya Addresses Neck Issues After AEW Full Gear; Wants Match With Sasha Banks

Saraya made her return to the squared circle at AEW Full Gear on Saturday. She defeated Britt Baker in her return match that lasted about 12 and a half minutes. During the post-event media scrum, Saraya addressed the status of her neck after the match with Britt.
In a nutshell, she said that her neck “feels great” and that the extensive tests that AEW performed confirmed her neck is 100 percent healthy.
