It worked before. There are several different aspects that go into making a wrestler work out in the right way. In addition to everything that takes place on the microphone and in the ring, a wrestler’s appearance needs to make them stand out in some way. Occasionally a change needs to be made and now a longstanding WWE star has done just that with a bit of a flashback.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Akira Tozawa appeared in his old tights and with blond hair, rather than the martial arts attire and black hair he had been sporting for years. Tozawa interrupted the Baron Corbin vs. Drew McIntyre match by distracting Corbin’s manager John Bradshaw Layfield, costing Corbin the match. This comes a week after Tozawa posted a photo of his old gear with a caption saying “thank you”, though it is not confirmed that he was talking about the upcoming change.

He’s worth the effort. It takes talent to make it to the WWE and everyone there has earned their way to the company. There are different ways to make it and some take more time than others, but it means something to be on the roster. Occasionally a wrestler will lose some of their prestige and have to be built back up in one way or another, and that seems to be happening with a former World Champion.

According to WrestleVotes by way of GiveMeSports, Triple H sees Finn Balor almost as a “reclamation project”. After seeing what has happened to Balor in recent years, Triple H is reportedly looking to build Balor back up. Triple H has pushed Balor multiple times in NXT as the two are said to have a positive relationship behind the scenes. Balor is currently scheduled to face AJ Styles on Saturday at Survivor Series.

All at once. There are several ways to present a title match as there are often multiple people who want to be champion. That can make for some interesting possibilities as you don’t know what you might be seeing in any given title defense. Sometimes the best solution is to put multiple challengers into the same title shot, which is what we will be seeing later this week.

After months of speculation, MJF won the AEW World Championship on Saturday night at AEW Full Gear. Since his return, MJF has been pushed as an emerging babyface with a “clean victory’ over Jon Moxely being a point of pride for his character.
However, William Regal slid his own brass knuckles to MJF for him to take another shortcut to the richest prize in AEW. An angle that had been heavily foreshadowed on AEW television for weeks, especially since the MJF/Regal confrontation promo. While the swerve of the storyline was obvious, the fun of the situation is the questions that the AEW fanbase is asking about what happens next.

Some of them are inspiring stories that you will not see almost anywhere else, while others are much sadder stories that happen to have a happy ending. AEW’s Saraya appeared on Insight With Chris Van Vliet where she discussed writing a book about her life and struggles with drug addiction. Saraya is not sure on what the book will cover or whether it should be split into multiple books. She also promised that the book will include the dark side of her life and addiction issues. There was no release date included, but Saraya said the book would take a year or two to write.

Wanted: Two missing wrestlers. There are all kinds of talented wrestlers on the AEW roster, but there is only so much time for them to be able to get in the ring. With only three hours of television every week, AEW is limited in who and what it can present. Some wrestlers are going to be missing at times and now the company’s boss is talking about two wrestlers who haven’t been around much lately.

During the AEW Full Gear media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan was asked about the statuses of Andrade El Idolo and Miro. Khan said that he wanted to have a large roster, which included leaving some names off of some bigger shows. He did insist that El Idolo and Miro were part of his long term plans for AEW.
Khan said that wrestlers take sabbaticals or breaks from AEW for various reasons before coming back to get involved, which could be the case for both of them. Both last wrestled at All Out on S..

They might be on to something. We are less than a week away from WWE Survivor Series, which will feature a pair of WarGames matches. There will be a men’s and women’s edition of the match, with the former having a completely set lineup. The women’s match still has a single spot to be filled and it is not clear who will take the slot. However, some fans certainly have a theory.

This is the lineup featured on the graphic for the match, with a hooded figure filling in the last spot. That’s certainly a take. There are all kinds of titles in wrestling today and some of them are among the most prominent in the industry. Sometimes you get a bit of a twist as a title might need something a little bit different to make it stand out. That does not mean it is going to be popular though, and now an AEW star has something to say about one of his company’s titles.

Over the weekend at AEW Full Gear, Jamie Hayter won the Interim Women’s Title by defeating Toni Storm. The Interim Women’s Title was created was created on September 4 when Thunder Rosa, the official champion, was forced out of action due to an injury. AEW star Shawn Spears tweeted that “This ‘interim’ stuff is bull****. You’re either the Champion, or you’re not.” There is no word on when the interim moniker will be dropped, but AEW President Tony Khan has been considering making the change.

It kind of goes hand in hand. Wrestling and video games have had a relationship for decades. It makes sense as fans are able to play as their favorite wrestlers and set up whatever matches they want to have. There have been dozens of wrestling games over the years and some of them have been rather high quality. Now we are seeing a first look at the next big time game.

AEW has released the first trailer for the upcoming “Fight Forever” video game. The trailer features a variety of AEW stars in matches and clips of AEW stars and personalities talking about how they want to bring back the old feeling of playing a wrestling game. Several weapons and some modes are also listed or shown. There is no release date set for the game so far.

He was the new guy. One of the most difficult things for a wrestling promotion to do is elevate new stars into the main event scene. It is something that has to be done every now and then though, no matter how tricky it might be. The right wrestler has to be found in order to make it work, but even then there could be some issues. Now we know how things went a bit off when a new star was elevated.
During an appearance on Out Of Character with Ryan Satin, Sheamus talked about how he was received backstage after winning the WWE Title from John Cena at Tables, Ladders And Chairs 2009. Sheamus had only been on WWE TV for about five and a half months when he won the title and said that nobody was very excited over what happened. Instead, Sheamus had backstage heat from some of the wrestlers who had been around for years and never got that kind of opportunity. Sheamus has gone on to become a four time World Champion during his WWE career.
