WATCH: Longtime AEW Stable Loses Member In Emotional Moment

It was nice while it lasted. AEW is a promotion with a large roster and only a few hours of television a week. As a result, their best option is to have several of their wrestlers put together in stables. This has been the case since the company was founded, but sometimes those stables have major issues. That was on display again this week, as a long running stable lost a member.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It’s An Idea: Original Concept For AEW Interim Titles, Possible Thinking Behind Them
The main event of this week’s AEW Rampage saw the Dark Order team up against La Faccion Ingobernable. However, the Dark Order started the match down a man as 10 was nowhere to be seen. Later in the match, 10 arrived and turned on the Dark Order, siding with La Faccion Ingoberable. Following the match, 10 unmasked and threw his mask at Negative One, who had brought him out to the ring. This comes after weeks of Rush trying to purchase 10 from the Dark Order.

Location: Wintrust Arena, Chicago, Illinois
Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross, Excalibur
It’s time for the other Chicago show of the week and we have a title match this time around. The Ring Of Honor Tag Team Titles are on the line as FTR defends against Top Flight, which has me wondering what is next for them at Final Battle. Speaking of Final Battle, it might be smart to announce something for the show. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Ring Of Honor Tag Team Titles: FTR vs. Top Flight FTR is defending. Harwood takes Darius down to start before quickly handing it off to Wheeler for some chops. Darius armdrags him into an armbar and it’s off to Dante, who gets forearmed in the head over and over. It’s back to Darius off a blind tag for a heck of a DDT and a near fall. Top Flight gets in some double teaming to take FTR down and they all brawl to the floor as we take a break.
Back with FTR missing right hands and getting dropkicke..

Not A Fan: Former WWE Star Says Shane McMahon’s Matches Hurt The Business

That’s not exactly praise. There have been all kinds of changes in the wrestling world this year but the biggest has been the change in regime in the WWE. After nearly forty years of Vince McMahon being in charge, there are new bosses at the helm, meaning the McMahons no longer have full authority. Now one former WWE star has something to say about a member of the family.

During a recent edition of his Cafe de Rene podcast, former WWE star Rene Dupree spoke about Shane McMahon, talking about how Shane’s matches would hurt the business. Dupree said that Shane only knows how to do stunts instead of wrestle a match, resulting in his stunts making it harder for wrestlers to get a reaction. Shane has been gone from WWE since this year’s Royal Rumble in January, allegedly due to backstage disagreements over how he would be presented.

It’s An Idea: Original Concept For AEW Interim Titles, Possible Thinking Behind Them

They have a plan for that. Titles are one of the most important concepts in all of wrestling and it means a lot when one of them changes hands. Occasionally a title change might not be the planned outcome and something else needs to be done. That was the case multiple times this year in AEW so they came up with a unique solution. Now we have some more clarification on their idea.

This week on AEW Dynamite, Jamie Hayter was promoted from Interim AEW Women’s Champion to full Women’s Champion as Thunder Rosa was officially stripped of the title. In addition, Toni Storm’s Interim Women’s Title reign was promoted to a full on Women’s Title reign, erasing the Interim Women’s Title from history on all counts.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the original idea for introducing an interim title of any kind was to keep the AEW World Title on an injured CM Punk e..

WATCH: The Miz Fights A Cactus (And Loses)

It’s a dangerous sport. There are all kinds of ways a wrestler can be injured in the ring, but there are even more possible issues outside of the ring. It can be a terrible thing to see a wrestler be hurt, but not all injures are created equally. There are instances where an injury might not be as serious as another, and it certainly helps when the injury doesn’t seem to actually have happened. That seems to be the case again.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: RUMOR KILLERS On Two WWE Money In The Bank Stories
This week on Monday Night Raw, the Miz announced that he was unable to face Johnny Gargano in a match as he had injured his hand on a cactus. Miz has now posted a video to Instagram, showing himself hitting a toy cactus that records and repeats anything he says in a distorted voice. After hitting the cactus, Miz says that he is hurt again and it’s bad, though there is a disclaimer saying that it is NOT the real cactus. He is currently still scheduled to face Dexter Lumis next week on Mond..

That’s Different: Chris Jericho Speaks On Experiences With Time Displacement And Spirits

That’s a different kind of story. Wrestlers are larger than life characters who get in the ring and showcase their talents on rather grand stages. It can be a lot of fun to see what a wrestler can do when they are given the chance, but there also comes a point where they leave the ring and their real lives continue. Now one wrestling legend has some interesting stories about things that might have happened to him outside the ring.

RUMOR KILLERS On Two WWE Money In The Bank Stories

Not so fast. WWE runs major events almost every month, some of which are among the biggest wrestling events of the year. Several of these are annual events that are centered around the same concept matches every year. Under the company’s new regime, WWE has reportedly been moving away from such shows, but it seems that some possible changes will not be taking place.

WATCH: Dominik Mysterio And Rhea Ripley Invade Rey Mysterio’s Home For Thanksgiving

It’s a personal thing. There are all kinds of feuds in wrestling and some of them are more serious than others. One of the easiest ways to present a feud is between members of the same family having an issue. Fans can relate to the concept and get behind it without too much trouble. WWE has been using the concept in recent months and have upped the ante this week.

Just Keep Waiting: Missing AEW Star Reportedly Medically Cleared For “Quite Some Time”

It’s a matter of time. There are all kinds of reasons for a wrestler to be out of action and injuries are at the top of the list. When a wrestler is hurt, the first question becomes long long it might be before they are back in the ring. Health is not the only factor that can hold them back though, as some other people have to sign on. Now we know one more person who is ready but still waiting to make their return.

It’s For Later: Wrestling Legend Reveals He Needs Multiple Surgeries

They would help. While wrestling has pre-determined finishes to its matches, the work and effort that the wrestlers put in is very real. REVIEW: Survivor Series 2005: The First Showdown

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net, starting today. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?
Survivor Series 2005

Location: Joe Louis Arena, Detroit, Michigan
Attendance: 15,000
Commentators: Joey Styles, Jerry Lawler, Jonathan Coachman, Michael Cole, Tazz
This show is all about brand vs. brand, which really isn’t an interesting story because they would interact pretty regularly but of course WWE doesn’t get this. Therefore, the main event is a five on five Team Raw vs. Team Smackdown Survivor Series elimination tag for pure bragging rights. At least they didn’t have a..
