Not A Fan: Former WWE Creative team Member SLAMS Recent Title Match

He’s not a fan. We are moving away from Survivor Series, which was one of the biggest shows of the year. The card featured a variety of matches and stars up and down the show, some of which were better than others. With so many people watching the show, there are going to be some who like it more than others, and in this case, a former WWE employee was not happy with what he saw.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Considers Special Legend Shows For WrestleMania 39
One of the matches at Survivor Series saw Ronda Rousey successfully defend her SmackDown Women’s Title against Shotzi. During the latest edition of the Wrestling With Freddie podcast, former WWE creative team member Freddie Prinze Jr. blasted the match, calling it “the single worst match I have seen in I don’t know how long”. Prinze Jr. said that it was not Shotzi’s fault, but rather blaming Rousey for her wrestling getting worse, suggesting that she is either not trying or is incapable of making things work. Here..

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Considers Special Legend Shows For WrestleMania 39

Bring them on in. We are rapidly approaching the start of the Road To WrestleMania 39 and that means it is time to get ready for the biggest events of the year. WWE puts on some of the most important shows of the year over WrestleMania weekend, but not all of them take place in the ring. Now it seems that the company is planning some more events in addition to their regular wrestling cards.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Other Way: WWE Makes Another Policy Change (And This One Might Not Be So Popular)
According to WrestleVotes, WWE wants additional interactive shows throughout WrestleMania weekend. These shows would be similar to Undertaker’s 1DeadMan show, with fans participating and the featured star telling stories. Shows featuring Steve Austin and Trish Stratus have been discussed but there is nothing to suggest that anything has been finalized. WrestleMania 39 is scheduled for April 1 and 2, 2023.
I’m told WWE is looking into having additional shows throughout WrestleMania weekend ..

Ouch: Current AEW Champion Working Through Painful Injury

That’s the real part. Injuries can take place at any time in wrestling and there is no way to prevent some of them. Sometimes a wrestler is going to get hit in the wrong way and something is going to be damaged completely by accident. Those can cause some serious problems, but in this case, an injured wrestler is working through a rather painful injury, albeit with some extra protection.

The Other Way: WWE Makes Another Policy Change (And This One Might Not Be So Popular)

No more. There have been a lot of changes in WWE over this year and some of them are changes that will be felt for years to come. This starts at the top of the company, where a new power structure is in place. WWE has new leadership and that group is going to introduce policies of their own. One of the new changes might not be the most popular among the locker room.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: Upcoming Plans For Ronda Rousey (Contains Possible SPOILERS)
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is no longer giving out financial bonuses to its wrestlers. This includes bonuses for going to the Saudi Arabian shows or wrestling on a premium live event or anything else. WRESTLING RUMORS: Upcoming Plans For Ronda Rousey (Contains Possible SPOILERS)

The next steps. There are very few wrestlers in WWE with the star power of Ronda Rousey. She is still one of the biggest names in the history of mixed martial arts and is presented as one of the top stars in WWE. It means something for a wrestler to feud with her as it is a special opportunity. Now we have a better idea of what is next for her, including her likely next challenger.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Add Him Up: Another Former World Champion Reportedly Returning To WWE
Last month, Rousey and Shayna Baszler attacked Raquel Rodriguez, resulting in her being written off WWE TV with a broken arm and dislocated elbow. However, according to Wrestlingnews.co, Rodriguez is expected to be the challenger for Rousey’s SmackDown Women’s Title at the Royal Rumble on January 28. In addition, Rousey is expected to go into WrestleMania 39 as champion, meaning that even if Rodriguez wins the title, she is not expected to hold it very long.
That could be good. Check out the two in action and how ..

Add Him Up: Another Former World Champion Reportedly Returning To WWE

There goes another one. There have been a lot of moves in the wrestling world in recent months, with several stars moving from one company to another. This has mainly been between WWE and AEW but there are other promotions out there which have some talented stars. Now another of them seems to have finished up with his old home and is heading off to another place.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Discusses Bringing Back Hell In A Cell MUCH Earlier Than Expected

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Discusses Bringing Back Hell In A Cell MUCH Earlier Than Expected

Is that a crossover? WWE has several major match types that it will use at certain times. The company will regularly bring out one match after another at specific times on the calendar, though that might be changing under the new regime. We might be seeing that exact change take place very soon, as a major match might be taking place outside of the normal time.

According to Wrestlingnew.co’s Twitter, WWE has has discussed including a Hell In A Cell match on the card, though nothing has been confirmed. There is also no word on who the match would include. Should it happen, it would be only the second Hell In A Cell match to take place on a premium live event other than the match’s namesake show in six and a half years.

Go Your Own Way: Speculation Over William Regal Jumping Back From AEW To WWE

That’s fast. The rise of AEW has changed the wrestling landscape, as there is now a brand new wrestling promotion offering wrestlers a new platform on the national stage. That is something that has been lacking for a very long time now and has resulted in several wrestlers being able to jump from one promotion to another. Now we might be seeing someone going back to their original promotion after making a jump.

REVIEW: WWF Houston Live Event – December 10, 1987: The Goodish Old Days

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net, starting today. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?
WWF House Show
Date: December 10, 1987
Location: Sam Houston Coliseum, Houston, Texas
Commentators: Bruce Pritchard, Mike McGuirk, Duke Doherty
Oh that commentary team is going to kill me today. Not really sure of what to expect on this card as I haven’t seen the details of it. The matches would probably be fallout from Survivor Series and leading up to the Rumble….which doesn’t tell us much at all as that was more or less Andre vs. Hogan and that’s about it. Anyway, I love the late 80s so let’s get t..

What Happened: More On Kevin Owens/Roman Reigns Incident At Survivor Series

Like a slap in the face. Wrestling is a difficult sport to pull off as while it is an athletic endeavor and the wrestlers are having to do all kinds of things in front of a live audience, they also have to keep everyone else in the ring with them safe. That can occasionally go wrong, and now a top WWE star seems a little upset by something that went wrong during a major match.

LOOK: WWE Drops Hint At 46 Year Old Former Champion’s Possible Return

Call it a hint? WWE stars are forced to move around a lot as there are only so many places to put them at any given time. Occasionally they are forced to leave for reasons against their will, such as getting hurt. Unfortunately there is no way around something like this and the question becomes how long it will be before they are able to come back. WWE may have dropped a hint about one such upcoming return.
WWE has released a new photo gallery featuring images of wrestlers supporting their nations teams for the FIFA World Cup. One such photo includes Bobby Roode representing his native Canada. Roode also had a SmackDown logo behind his picture, indicating that he is still part of the SmackDown roster. Roode has not wrestled since June 25 and underwent surgery in September. There is no word on when he will be returning to the ring.

It deserves some praise. WWE runs several events a year, some of which are among the biggest shows put on by any wrestling company in the world. It means a lot for a star to appear on one of those shows as there is great exposure than on almost any other platform. That is the case this week as well, and now we know just how big things were on a recent major event.
