And Done: AEW Stable Officially Disbands

That’s one less. Stables have been a common factor in wrestling for a very long time now as they are a concept that makes sense. Having a stable allows for several wrestlers to be able to get television time at once, often through a shared goal or characteristic. Occasionally you will also see wrestlers who are thrown together with nothing else to do, and now we are seeing one such stable go their separate ways.

AEW’s QT Marshall has announced that the Factory, his AEW stable, has disbanded, citing hate from “experts” in wrestling. Marshall said to keep an eye on the members of the team, including Lee Johnson, Cole Karter, Aaron Solo and Nick Comoroto. There is no word on any backstage reason for the team being disbanded and nothing to suggest that any member is gone from the promotion.
We did some fun stuff. Unfortunately, the amount of Factory hate from the “experts” in wrestling was too much and the group ..

Double Shot: Monday Night Raw Star And Main Event Officially Set For NXT Stand & Deliver

It’s that time of year. We are less than a month away from WrestleMania 39 and that means it is time to start getting everything ready. While WrestleMania will be the featured event of the weekend, there are other major WWE events taking place. One of them will take place on Saturday before the first night of WrestleMania and now we know a good bit more of the card.

There were two matches announced for NXT Stand & Deliver during this week’s edition of NXT. First up, Grayson Waller challenged Shawn Michaels to come out of retirement and face him in a match. However, Michaels turned him down and introduced Johnny Gargano, who will face Waller instead. Second, NXT Champion Bron Breakker will defend the title against Carmelo Hayes. The two have been teasing a match for weeks before making it official this week. This match is rumored to have main roster callup implications.

NXT Results – March 7, 2023 (Roadblock)

NXT
Date: March 7, 2023
Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida
Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T.
This is the Roadblock special, because we need a special event less than a month before what is probably the biggest NXT event of the year. Since the NXT Champion is in a six man tag, the real main event is probably Shawn Michaels appearing on the Grayson Waller Effect. NXT has teased Michaels fighting Waller, so odds are we see who is doing it in Michaels’ place this week. Let’s get to it.
We open with Tiffany’s Epiphanies, as Tiffany Stratton runs down the card and talks about how we got here.
Tony D’Angelo vs. Dijak This is the Jailhouse Street Fight, meaning a casket match with a jail cell. Dijak tries a nightstick to start but gets clotheslined to the floor instead. It’s way too early to send Dijak into the cell but D’Angelo fights his way out of it too. After Stacks gets knocked down, they head back inside where Dijak hits High Justice onto a chair. Dijak throws in ..

Sights set. There are all kinds of talented wrestlers on the WWE roster but it can be difficult for all of them to find something to do. With that many people, even the amount of television time that WWE has is often not enough. Sometimes those wrestlers have to be grouped together, and that is what a certain manager is teasing again, with quite the array of names.

MVP has posted a photo to his Instagram, showing him backstage with Omos, the Street Profits and NXT’s Carmelo Hayes. The caption says that MVP is “backstage in Boston to talk to some people…” but does not say what they were talking about. This comes amid rumors of Hayes being called up to the main roster and possibly joining the Hurt Business, but those plans were never confirmed.

Let’s Get Rowdy: Update On Ronda Rousey’s WrestleMania 39 Status

It could be worse? We are getting closer and closer to WrestleMania and a lot of the card has already been set up. With so little time left though, there are only so many more changes that can be made. Occasionally something happens that necessitates a change though and while we have not reached that point just yet, one WWE star will not be going into WrestleMania as planned.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It’s Over: Six Month Old Streak Snapped On Monday Night Raw
Last week on SmackDown, Ronda Rousey accompanied Shayna Baszler to the ring with her arm in a sling. This was later revealed to be due to Rousey re-aggravating a previous injury. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Rousey and Baszler are still expected to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania, but Rousey is not likely to be at 100% for the match. The match has yet to be announced but as of now Tuesday, she is expected to work the show.

It’s Over: Six Month Old Streak Snapped On Monday Night Raw

It had to happen at some point. Wrestling is a weird sport in that while wins and losses matter, the results are planned in advance. What makes it more interesting is that fans can get behind the idea of a wrestler winning over and over, as it makes them seem like a bigger star. Every wrestler has to lose at some point though, and now one of the winning streaks has been broken.

The opening match this week on Monday Night Raw saw Kevin Owens defeat Solo Sikoa via disqualification when Jimmy Uso interfered. This was Sikoa’s first televised loss on the main roster, where he debuted back in September. Sikoa has yet to be pinned or made to submit on the main roster. This comes after reports of Sikoa being kept strong in preparation for a future feud with Roman Reigns.
Sikoa has been a force. Check out his time on the main roster:

REVIEW: WrestleMania 29: Round Two

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?

It’s Rock vs. John Cena II and I don’t think you need to hear anything else about the main event. With that match out of the way, the biggest name left is the Undertaker, who will be facing CM Punk in a match that might have been better had it been for the title. This time it’s personal though, as Paul Bearer had recently passed away, leaving ..

Together again. The last few years have seen several changes in the rosters for both WWE and AEW. This has included all kinds of releases and signings to the other company, several of which have never gotten their first major change. It can mean a lot for those wrestlers to come back together, which is what happened again recently. This time though it had nothing to do with wrestling.

Former Hit Row teammates Swerve Strickland (AEW), Top Dolla (WWE) and B Fab (WWE) reunited in a music video for the music video for the Monteasy song “Price Went Up”. Everyone but Strickland was re-signed to WWE last year.

We’re back with another AEW pay per view and that should mean something really good. The television shows haven’t been the strongest in recent weeks but that has never stopped the pay per views from being special. The main event will feature MJF defending the World Title against Bryan Danielson in an Iron Man match, which should be…uh, long. Let’s get to it.
Zero Hour: Lucha Bros/Mark Briscoe vs. Varsity Athletes/Ari Daivari Mark Sterling are here with the Varsity Athletes (Tony Nese/Josh Woods) and Daivari. Nese poses at Penta to start but Penta is right back with CERO MIEDO. All six come in to strike it out with Penta and Nese being left alone in the ring. Made In Penta gives Penta a quick two before Daivari has to save Sterling. The villains take over on Penta by whipping him into the corner and Woods adds a suplex for two.

WATCH: Mick Foley Wants To Join The Judgment Day (And It’s Great)

He’s worth something! Stables have been one of the most important recurring concepts in wrestling as they solve multiple problems at once. Above all else, it can allow wrestlers to get on television a bit more, as instead of short spots from individual people, they can appear together for longer stretches. Now a legend wants to join one of the most prominent modern stables.

Mick Foley has released his video resume in an attempt to join the Judgment Day. Foley lists off several of his career highlights, including a focus on his times flying off of Hell In A Cell. The Return: Vince McMahon Backstage At Monday Night Raw (With A Huge Change)

He’s back. The biggest wrestling story of the year has been the return of Vince McMahon to WWE, following a six month absence. McMahon is back to facilitate a sale of the company, though it has led to wonder about whether he will rejoin the creative team. While there is nothing to suggest that he has done it so far, McMahon did do something this week that he has not done since his return.

There was no official reason for him to be there, though one WWE talent suggested that he was there to see John Cena, who was returning at the show. According to PWInsider.com, there was nothing to suggest that McMahon had anything to do with the show’s creative. Finally, according to Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful.com, McMahon is reported to now be sporting a mustache.

WATCH: Jey Uso Makes His Decision About The Bloodline

As the Bloodline turns. The Bloodline Saga has dominated WWE for the better part of two years now but some cracks are starting to show. The team has been having one issue after another, often involving questions about the members’ loyalties to the group. After such issues, the Bloodline needs some wins, and that took place this week, with a major issue being resolved.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They’re On: Three More Matches, Including Title Match, Set For WrestleMania 39
Jey Uso walked out on the Bloodline at the Royal Rumble based on the team ejecting Sami Zayn. Since then, Roman Reigns has tasked Jey’s brother Jimmy to get him back. Jimmy had until this Friday to get Jey back on the team. Jey returned in the main event of this week’s Monday Night Raw, where he distracted Jimmy so Zayn could win the match. Following the match, Jey hugged Zayn before turning on him and rejoining forces with Jimmy, seemingly ending the question of Jey’s loyalty.
It was a big moment. Check out the turn, ..
