Jarek 1:20: The Power of Magic Is Alive and Thriving in Michigan Native

Never did you expect to see the finesse of magic combined with wrestling in magic to thrive as it does in Michigan native Evan Cloyd, known to wrestling fans as Jarek 1:20. We had the opportunity to interview Jarek and being fans of his work over the independent circuit, we knew we had to secure an interview with him after he participated in a recent WWE tryout, even going so far as to make it to the official WWE YouTube channel on a video where he was showcasing his magic skills.
Here is the interview:
Hey Jarek, we are glad to have you with us today. How old were you when you first started watching wrestling? What were a couple of your favorite memories or moments?
I was 8 years old when I was playing soccer in my neighbor’s backyard on a chilly Michigan day. Our other friend was wearing a bright orange ski mask, when my buddy, Corey said, “Oh you look like Rey Mysterio!” I asked who that was, they told me about wrestling – and that night Nitro and RAW were on, I turned on WCW an..

Classic Match: Eddie Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle From “Wrestlemania XX”

Viva la mania. There are very few wrestlers who are pure naturals. They know how to talk, they know how to move in the ring and they know how to capture an audience’s imagination. If you can get two of them into the same match on the big stage, you’re in for a treat. That was the case at “Wrestlemania XX”.

WWE has posted the full version of Kurt Angle vs. Eddie Guerrero from “Wrestlemania XX” for Guerrero’s WWE Championship. The match was presented as a culture clash with Angle not wanting a former addict like Guerrero representing WWE as its champion. Guerrero promised to win and get high on the feeling of being WWE Champion. This was Guerrero’s first major feud as champion after winning the title from Brock Lesnar at “No Way Out 2004” about a month earlier. Check out a review of the full show here.
Opinion: This was a great stretch of wrestling as Guerrero was having the run of his life and having the best matches of his career. You kn..

Video: Five Shortest Matches in Wrestlemania History

Slow down for a second! Earlier this year, WWE presented the longest match in company history with a nearly two hour long gauntlet match on an episode of “Monday Night Raw”. That’s one end of the spectrum, but what about the other end? Say on the Wrestlemania stage?
It’s a short list.

WWE has released a new List This of the five fastest matches in “Wrestlemania” history. The five matches come from around the history of the show with some ranging all the way back from the early days of the show and all the way down into the newer editions. More than one of them are less than ten seconds and multiple title changes are included in the list. Opinion: These are always fun and they manage to energize the crowd every single time. They can even advance a variety of stories, mainly including the Daniel Bryan loss to Sheamus. That loss set up a lot of his rise to the top of the promotion, which you likely wouldn’t have seen coming when he lost tha..

Bayley Says She’d Be Happy to Help Ronda Rousey “Earn Her Stripes”

WWE superstar Bayley was recently interviewed by Sports Day in order to promote “Raw” and “Smackdown Live” events in Dallas this coming week. She discussed a number of topics, including her rivalry with Sasha Banks, the “Royal Rumble,” Ronda Rousey and more. Below are some questions, along with “the hugger’s” answers:
And what about the Royal Rumble – being behind the curtain, and hearing the countdown, the “5, 4, 3, 2, 1…” before you go out to the ring?
Bayley: “Every time somebody went out I had goosebumps. Every single time the crowd was counting. That’s almost everybody’s favorite memory about watching the WWE is the Royal Rumble, and being able to be a part of the countdown when you’re live in the crowd, and just seeing who comes out next – it doesn’t matter who it is – everybody is just excited. So, going down there myself and then Trish Stratus coming out right after me and hearing the crowd when her music hit, and when her and Mickie James were face to face – to be in the ri..
