Tenille Dashwood Looks At The Bright Side Of Her Release From WWE

Its still all about her.
Tenille Dashwood, formerly known from her time in WWE under the name 'Emma' has made a splash outside of the sports-entertainment company since being released in October of 2017. After Emma's release from WWE she posted an emoji of a broken heart on Twitter indicating that the news was not something she was expecting to see that morning. Nonetheless her career continues on as she has been booked on a number of independent wrestling promotions' shows, and also has the opportunity to become the first-ever Women Of Honor Champion At ROH Supercard Of Honor XII on April 7th.
Dashwood gave a comment to The Sportster about the bright side of her WWE release; specifically the timing of it. Before she was released she was normally featured on WWE programming; often taking losses to “The Empress Of Tomorrow” Asuka. Tenille feels that this was one of the reasons why she has been heavily requested on the wrestling scene.

Video: Why Does Steve Austin Think His First WWE Title Win Suck?

Oh censored yeah. Twenty years ago, Steve Austin hit a Stone Cold Stunner on Shawn Michaels to become the WWF World Champion for the first time. This changed the wrestling world for the next several years and officially launched the Austin Era. However, there were a few issues working against the wrestlers and as a result, the opinions on the match have been mixed over the years. So all those years later, what did Austin think of the match? In a new interview posted to WWE’s YouTube channel, Austin talked about his thoughts on the match and the build towards the match, including the entire angle with Mike Tyson. As it turns out, Austin isn’t all that pleased with the match, mainly due to both wrestlers being a bit banged up. Austin was coming off his neck injury and Michaels had injured his back a few months earlier, not to mention Michaels’ personal issues, which were running rampant at the time.
As usual, Austin is worth listening to.

The Shield Likely Done in WWE

And that’s about it for them. The Shield is one of the most dominating factions of all time. All three were World Champions at one point (once all in the same night at “Money in the Bank 2016”) and has one of the strongest fan bases you’re going to see no matter what the trio is doing. They were put back together late last year after several years apart, but a long string of injuries and problems might have already brought the team to its second end. If they’re gone, at least they came back in a great way.

According to stillrealtous.com, WWE is producing a new DVD on the group, with the title “The Rise and Fall of the Shield”. This new set looks at their careers since the team’s original split and the title would suggest that the group’s latest run is over. The trio wasn’t able to team together often in their second run due to Roman Reigns being out of the ring due to illness and then Dean Ambrose injuring his arm and putting him on the shel..

Josh Mathews Doesn’t Know Who Is Calling Impact vs. LU, Talks Sonjay Dutt

Impact Wrestling's Josh Mathews was recently interviewed by Wrestling Epicenter's Interactive Wrestling Radio. You can see the full interview above, or selected highlights below:
Who will be calling the action for Impact versus Lucha Underground:
“I don't know. I'll be there. If I'm called upon to call the show, awesome! If not, there's other things that I could be doing down there. I would love to call the show. I've worked with Matt Striker for many years. That would be an easy thing to do. But, if that is not the decision that is made, then, all good. There's other things (laughs)to occupy my time. We're going to be live on Twitch Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and part of Sunday. There will be 48 hours of original content so that if you're not in New Orleans, we can virtually put you in New Orleans through our Twitch live stream! (laughs)”
Sonjay Dutt taking over color commentary:
“I've had the opportunity to work with more broad..

Watch: “Stone Cold” Steve Austin vs. The Rock From WrestleMania 19

The third time’s a charm. WWE posted a new video to their YouTube channel today, which shows the full match between “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and The Rock from WrestleMania 19. It was the third match between the two on the “grandest stage of them all.”
You can see the match in its entirety below:

As mentioned, this was the third meeting between the two WWE legends at WrestleMania. Austin had been victorious at WrestleMania 14 and 17; however, The Rock was able to pick up the victory in this final contest between the two.
Editor’s Opinion:
Oh man, do I remember this one. The Rock was playing an arrogant, Hollywood heel, who was constantly badmouthing the fans and singing songs about how much he hated being in the various towns that he was in. It was during this time that he even had a brief encounter with “The Hurricane” that was absolutely hilarious! These two are always magical whenever they are together, and this match was no exception…

KB’s Review: Don’t Forget About Them

Last week, Daniel Bryan announced that he was cleared to return to in-ring competition. A lot of fans (myself included) were very pleased with the development and proceeded to talk about every possible aspect of the return. Everywhere you looked there was something else being said about Bryan: when would he wrestle, who would he feud against, should he be champion, will the beard grow back? While I won’t ask why Bryan is getting all this attention (because that would be a very stupid question), I will point out that there are several other big names who are about to be back off the injured list. Some of these names are former World Champions and those are the kind of names that could really shake things up (say in a potential Superstar Shakeup, which is all but confirmed at this point).
Today we’re going to look at the upcoming returns of five names who have been on the injured list for various lengths of time. It’s not clear how many of them will be back in short order but it’s prett..

“Smackdown Live” Ratings and Audience – March 27, 2018

You had to know this was coming. Last week’s episode of “Smackdown Live” saw a big story with the return of Daniel Bryan, who announced that he was cleared for in-ring competition. The story was announced before the show went on the air and people came to see it. So how many of them stuck around for next week?
Miss this week’s show? Here are some quick highlights.

According to 411mania.com, this week’s episode of “Smackdown Live” drew a .78 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.576 million viewers. These numbers are down 21% and 11% from last week’s .99 demographic rating and 2.88 million viewers. It should be noted that last night saw the return of “Roseanne”, which drew the highest rating for a sitcom in nearly four years. You can read last night’s full results here.
Opinion: You had to expect this. With Bryan just talking about wrestling for the second week in a row, there’s only so much you can do. The fans tuned in for the big feel..

Why Hasn’t John Cena vs. Undertaker Been Announced?

Priorities aren’t exactly WWE’s strong suit. With one episode of “Monday Night Raw” and “Smackdown Live” left before “Wrestlemania XXXIV”, we have thirteen matches set for the show. However, despite the card being stacked, there’s one more match that hasn’t been announced yet and it’s kind of a big deal. Now why is that the case?
Maybe if they did something:

According to the “Wrestling Observer Newsletter” by way of ringsidenews.com, the Undertaker vs. John Cena match hasn’t officially been announced because there’s so much else going on. Between the Ronda Rousey in-ring debut, AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Daniel Bryan returning to the ring, Vince McMahon doesn’t feel that the match needs to be announced yet. Here are Dave Meltzer’s comments from the Newsletter: “They had Danielson have his checkup by Dr. Maroon eight days earlier because Vince was so adamant that he didn’t want to wait until what would have been this week to shoo..

What Was Different About Asuka’s Opponent This Week?

A new face in the crowd. Earlier this year, Asuka won the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble to earn herself a Women’s Title shot at “Wrestlemania XXXIV”. That means it’s time to build her up with even more wins. WWE has done that for a few weeks now, but the victory this week on “Monday Night Raw” was very unique.
Remember this one?
[This post contains video, click to play]

According to Wrestlinginc.com, Asuka’s opponent this week, Jamie Frost, had never actually wrestled a professional match until last night. She had been trained in the Pittsburgh area and was actually wrestling in her first match when she lost to Asuka. The match consisted of Frost hitting a few forearms and then getting kicked in the head for the pin in 32 seconds. Here are the full results from this week’s “Raw”.
Opinion: Well….ok then. I mean, it wasn’t exactly much of a match with such a short amount of time and it’s not like anything happened. That being said, it’s really not the best idea to throw someone ..
