Here’s The Most Likely Candidate To Challenge AJ Styles At Summerslam

That would be cool. AJ Styles is rapidly climbing the charts as WWE Champion. Assuming he holds the title all the way until Summerslam next month, Styles will have the thirteenth longest reign in the title’s history and will be only a few months away from surpassing CM Punk’s 434 day reign as champion. In order to get that far though he has to get by Summerslam and that means he needs an opponent. We now have an idea of who it might be.
According to Bryan Alvarez on Wednesday’s Wrestling Observer Live, Styles’ challenger for Summerslam may very well be Samoa Joe. This week on SmackDown Live, it was announced that Paige will name the challenger on next week’s show. Samoa Joe has been talking about wanting the title as of late and hasn’t faced Styles in the WWE, though they feuded extensively in Impact Wrestling.
He certainly looks like he’s ready.

He’s Back! Brock Lesnar’s Monday Night Raw Return Date Announced

Why yes, he does still work here. To say that Brock Lesnar hasn’t been around very frequently on Monday Night Raw would be an understatement. Lesnar hasn’t appeared on the show in nearly three months and hasn’t defended his title since April 27th’s Greatest Royal Rumble. The latter seems ready to be changed for Summerslam but the former might be even sooner than that.
What’s been going on in Lesnar’s absence? Check out our full Monday Night Raw results to find out.
The American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida is currently advertising Brock Lesnar for the upcoming Monday Night Raw on July 30. It should be noted however that some of the names in the advertisement are either misspelled (Rhonda Rousey instead of Ronda), injured and not on television (Sami Zayn) or no longer champions (Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt). Therefore, there is a chance that Lesnar’s appearance may have changed.
What’s waiting on Lesnar when he gets back?

Full NXT Taping Results With Takeover: Brooklyn IV Main Event Set *SPOILERS*

And Brooklyn waits for NXT. With about a month to go before Takeover: Brooklyn IV, it’s time to really get things ready for the show. You can probably guess some of the matches from here but that being said, there’s a lot to still be set up in the future. That’s where NXT is at the moment and if you know the product, you know what that means and so we’re off to Full Sail.
Before we get into the future, check out the past and the present most recent with this week’s NXT results right here.

Daniel Bryan and The Miz: Destined to Meet at SummerSlam

Daniel Bryan attacked The Miz on the July 17 edition of WWE SmackDown Live. Miz was in the middle of a mock funeral for Team Hell No when the Yes man decided to crash the party. The Miz did escape but it’s clear that the time has finally come for a massive showdown and that showdown will likely happen at SummerSlam. It was only a matter of time until this happened. The Miz took issue with Bryan since Daniel became the SmackDown General Manager and the heat between them only escalated from there. The Miz has always believed he’s the best in the WWE locker room. But he also believed that Daniel was an overrated Superstar that did not deserve the amount of spotlight he received.
From a character perspective, it was only logical that Miz went after Bryan. As the GM, Daniel held The Miz’s fate in his hands. A heel like The Miz could not deal with that, anymore than he could deal with a talent of Daniel’s caliber telling him what to do. Miz’s ego is matched only by his insecurity and that w..

NXT Live Coverage And Results – July 18, 2018

NXT
Date: July 18, 2018
Location: Full Sail University, Winter Park, Florida
Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Mauro Ranallo, Percy Watson
Tonight we get to see one of NXT’s best features in action. The main event of this week’s show is a triple threat match for the #1 contendership to the Women’s Title. Around here, that’s something that can headline a show without blinking an eye. On any other show, such a thing would be insane. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Dakota Kai vs. Lacey Evans Evans mocks Kai’s kicking to start so Kai rolls her up and rides her on the mat, freaking the heck out of Evans in the process. A shot to the ribs cuts Kai off though and Evans puts her in the Tree of Woe. That means more shots to the ribs, even after Evans uses the strings from Kai’s boot to tie her in the corner. Kai falls out of the corner so Evans kicks and stomps away, with Kai selling the heck out of it.
We hit a double arm crank with a knee in Kai’s back until Evans misses a moonsault. Rap..

CM Punk And AJ Lee Team Up For A Horror Movie

They work well together in various ways. Last month, CM Punk fought and lost his second UFC fight in his home town of Chicago. After the fight was rather underwhelming, it was heavily suggested that Punk needed to either fight somewhere else or move on from fighting altogether. It just wasn’t working for him any longer and that meant he needed to find something else. While wrestling again didn’t seem likely, there was another avenue to take and he seems to be doing just that.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, Punk and his wife AJ Lee will be co-starring in the upcoming remake of the 1977 horror film Rabid. The film will star Laura Vandervoort and Ben Hollingsworth with Punk and Lee playing supporting characters. There is currently no word on when the film will be released. Neither Punk nor Lee have any major acting experience outside of a few voiceover roles.
Some happier times for the two.

Fans Cry Foul:  WWE Reinstates Hulk Hogan While Chyna’s Legacy Ignored

Earlier this week, WWE officially reinstated Hulk Hogan to the WWE Hall of Fame. This comes just three years after severing ties due to a racist rant that was captured as part of a sex tape involving Hogan and Heather Cole. Their trysts were arranged and secretly videotaped by Cole’s husband, radio host Bubba “the Love Sponge” Clem. For many fans, this decision reignites frustration that Chyna’s career in porn is cited as the reason she has not been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Shortly after WWE’s announcement of Hulk Hogan’s reinstatement, fans weighed in on Twitter:

Chyna (real name Joan “Joanie” Marie Lauer) was a groundbreaking wrestler and entertainer who competed in intergender matches and twice held the Intercontinental Championship. She was the first woman to participate in both the Royal Rumble and King of the Ring tournament. Chyna also won the Women’s Championship in 2001, eventually vacating the title and leaving the promotion. Her in-ring success with the WWE led to ..

A former member of the Texas A&M football squad, Lee was courted by sports agents to pursue a career on the gridiron before he decided to follow his dream of becoming a WWE Superstar. As renowned for his remarkable agility as he is his incredibl..

Official Monday Night Raw Preview – June 11, 2018

And so, it ends. With one week left to go before Money in the Bank, there isn’t much left to do in the area of setting the show up. We know who will be in the ladder matches on the Monday Night Raw side (SmackDown Live has one spot left and we know the three possible options) and other than that, it’s Roman Reigns vs. Jinder Mahal. That’s not the strongest card in the world but maybe one more week of television can make things a little bit more interesting. WWE.com has released its official preview for this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. This week’s show is going to focus on the final build towards this Sunday’s Money in the Bank pay per view and will feature fatal four way matches with the Monday Night Raw participants in the Money in the Bank ladder matches. Other than that, Baron Corbin is the new Constable of Monday Night Raw and more of what that entails will be explained. Here are the stories featured in this week’s preview.

Major League Wrestling Fusion Results – June 8, 2018

Fusion #8
Date: June 8, 2018
Location: Gilt Nightclub, Orlando, Florida
Commentators: Rich Bocchini, Tony Schiavone
Things are starting to change a bit as evil manager Salina de la Renta is coming after World Champion Shane Strickland. At the same time, Tom Lawlor is still a jerk and tonight he gets to face the rather talented Fred Yehi. We’re still at the point of having people debut here fairly regularly around here so we might be seeing some new faces again. Let’s get to it.
Video on Shane Strickland.
Opening sequence.
Tom Lawlor vs. Fred Yehi Lawlor has Team Filthy, including Simon Gotch and the still unnamed third man (though his jacket says Sanders), with him. Yehi takes him down to the mat and grabs a front facelock but Lawlor spins back up for a standoff. Now it’s Lawlor’s turn to wrestle him down but Yehi spins out and grabs him again, sending Lawlor to the ropes. This time Yehi stomps on Lawlor’s hand but Lawlor pulls him down by the leg. That goes n..

Rumor: Ronda Rousey’s WWE Contract Ending Sooner Than Expected

After her debut at the Royal Rumble, the WWE Universe was anxious to find out what Ronda Rousey would be doing with the company. Alongside Kurt Angle, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon, she helped steal the show at WrestleMania 34. Rousey surprised a lot of fans with her performance and her in-ring skills on the grandest stage of them all.
At Money in the Bank, Ronda Rousey will challenge Nia Jax for the Raw Women’s Title, which the WWE Universe isn’t as excited about but they still want to know if Ronda can win the championship. It has been rumored for the past few months that WWE wants to book Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey in the main event of WrestleMania 35 next year.
