He’s in. The WWE roster has quite the collection of talent but at some point, fresh names have to be brought in. The company can only get so far with the same wrestlers and it can be a big deal when someone new shows up. There are all kinds of places to get wrestlers from, including smaller promotions. Now it appears that a second generation star is making his way to WWE.

According to Fightful Select, former NWA star Colby Corino is on his way to WWE. Corino announced that his NWA deal expired earlier this year, allowing him to sign anywhere. There is no word on when Corino will officially sign with WWE or report to the Performance Center to begin training. Corino’s father Steve currently works for WWE as a trainer and NXT producer.

Yes, again. The changes on the WWE roster have been impossible to ignore in recent years, as all kinds of wrestlers have been let go from the company. However, under the new regime, several of them have been brought back, as Triple H hired them in the first place and now wants them around again. Should things fall a different way though, it might not be the brightest future.

In a recent mailbag column, PWInsider.com’s Dave Scherer said he believed that if McMahon returned to his position as head of WWE creative, he would fire/release the same wrestlers he let go before. The logic behind this would be that if McMahon did not see anything in the wrestlers before, he probably will not see anything new now. So far, there is nothing to suggest that McMahon has returned to creative or if he plans to do so at the moment. This should be seen as an OPINION rather than a fact.

That’s not good. While WWE is the biggest wrestling promotion in the world, it is not the only place for wrestlers to go. It can mean a lot to see a wrestler jump from one promotion to another, but there are certain safeguards that can prevent the impact from being too great. The most basic of those is a contract, but in one instance, WWE let someone wrestle in a prominent spot without one.

WWE star Dominik Mysterio appeared on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast and revealed that he did not have a contract for his first major WWE match. Mysterio said that he faced Seth Rollins in a street fight at Summerslam 2020 without a contract. He appeared on television and also at the Payback pay per view a week after Summerslam on good faith before officially being signed to the company. Since then, Mysterio has gone on to become a SmackDown Tag Team Champion and is now a member of the Judgment Day stable.

That’s a different way to go. There are several different ways to push a wrestling star or a group of them together. Some of these have been done for decades and long term fans know a good deal of them. At the same time, there are a few that are a lot less common and you can be a good bit surprised by them. That seems to be the case again, as WWE is trying something different.

WWE has released a new edition of its Making It Maximum series, focusing on the Maximum Male Models. In the video, the team looks for a fourth member but gets stressed by the process. This led to an argument between the team and Mace left. The rest of the video shows Mace wandering the street, as Mansoor puts up posters asking fans to help him fine Mace. The team has not wrestled on television since October 2022.

They are getting almost everything right at the moment and I’m wanting to see the show a lot more than I would have expected. We have a double main event as Bully Ray is challenging Josh Alexander in a Full Metal Mayhem match, plus Mickie James’ Last Rodeo continues as she challenges Jordynne Grace for the Knockouts Title. Let’s get to it.
Pre-Show: Kushida vs. Angels vs. Delirious vs. Mike Bailey vs. Mike Jackson vs. Yuya Uemura The previously unadvertised Delirious is replacing Bhupinder Gujjar). Delirious misses (maybe) a charge at the returning Kushida to start and winds up on the floor. That was awkward. There are all kinds of wrestlers in the world today and all of them have fans. Some of their fan bases are much larger than others but there is someone out there for everyone. On rare occasions, a fan gets to meet the wrestler in person and it can make for a great moment. Unfortunately there are times when it makes for a bad moment as well, which was the case with a recent encounter.

The fan praises Evans, including her looks so soon after giving birth to daughter, before putting his arm around her. Evans asks if the fan has ever died before, which gets him to pull his arm away and apologize. In recent weeks, Evans has appeared in vignettes showing her training. She has not wrestled since the November 11, 2022 SmackDown.

He’s back. The WWE world has changed in several ways in the last few days and those changes might not be ending anytime soon. Most of the changes revolve around the return of Vince McMahon, who is now back in his seat as Chairman of the Board, but the question is what will he do with regards to the creative side of WWE. We don’t know that yet, but his influence is already spreading.

Everyone does it eventually. Retirement is a tricky subject in wrestling, as you never know how long it might be before someone finally hangs up their boots. In an industry where everyone can come back for one more match, it is difficult to find someone who truly retires. Several wrestlers say that they are though and that is the case with another former WWE star.

Former NXT UK star Jinny has announced via Twitter that she is retiring from professional wrestling. This comes after Jinny has been out of action for several months with an injury. It is also not clear if Jinny was one of several NXT UK wrestlers released when the promotion was shut down in September 2022.

You never know when you are going to see someone get hurt, but there are times where you do not know the injury has taken place. Sometimes there are ways to hide the injury, even if it is something that can slow a wrestler down. That is the case again, but you might not be able to tell.

We’re still in Los Angeles and you know that is going to mean a big show. I’m not sure what all it is going to entail but that is some of the fun of Rampage. This week’s Dynamite was a strong show so they have a lot to live up to this week. If nothing else, there is a street fight so that means violence. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
TNT Title: Juice Robinson vs. Darby Allin Allin is defending. Feeling out process to start with Robinson grabbing a waistlock to send the champ to the ropes. A headlock slows Robinson down but he grabs a belly to back suplex to escape. The backsplash only hits knees though and Allin is back with another headlock. This time Robinson sends him up and over the top for a nasty crash to the floor, followed by some whips into various hard things. A drop onto the steps rocks Allin again and we take a break.

That would be a change. Titles have been a gigantic part of WWE since the company was founded. There are several titles in the company and some of them are among the most prestigious in all of wrestling. It means something for a wrestler to hold one of them, but now there are some wrestlers who are holding two at a time. That might be changing sooner rather than later.

According to Xero News on Twitter, both the Usos’ Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles and Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Title will be split before WrestleMania 39 on April 1. There is no word on how the titles will be split, but the Judgment Day are currently #1 contenders for the Raw Tag Team Titles while a tournament is being held to crown new #1 contenders for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. Nothing has been mentioned about how to split Reigns’ titles.
