Rhea Ripley Reveals She Is Dealing With Multiple Health Issues

That’s an explanation. Wrestling is a physical sport and that means there is always the chance that someone can get hurt. There have been a lot of injuries over the years and some of them are more than a bit strange. That is kind of the case this time again, though in this case the wrestler has a pair of injuries, with one of them sounding a bit more serious than the other.
Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, Bianca Belair announced that Rhea Ripley was not medically cleared to wrestle at Money in the Bank, meaning their Raw Women’s Title match was off. Ripley has since revealed via her Instagram by way of Wrestlinginc.com that she is suffering from both brain and teeth injuries. There is no word on what specifically is wrong or how long Ripley will be out. Carmella earned the right to challenge Belair instead.
Opinion: Both of these are serious issues and hopefully Ripley is back sooner rather than later. Either of them could be an issue that could keep Ripley on the shelf for a ..

Homecoming: Arena Advertising Return Of Top WWE Star

Welcome back? There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster today and some of them are among the biggest stars going in the wrestling world today. Those wrestlers are able to make quite the impact no matter what they are doing, but sometimes they are going to be away. What matters though is that those wrestlers get to come back at some point, which might be the case with a pretty big star.
The PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina is advertising an appearance by Charlotte for the August 12 edition of SmackDown. Charlotte is currently not listed on WWE.com’s preview for the show. Should she appear, this would be Charlotte’s first appearance since WrestleMania Backlash on May 8 when she was defeated by Ronda Rousey. There is no word on what Charlotte would be doing on the show.
Opinion: This is the kind of return that WWE could use as Charlotte has been gone for the better part of two months. Charlotte is one of the bigger stars in the company and would instantly be one of the most imp..

It Grows: AEW Announces Several New Matches For Forbidden Door

That’s what they needed. We are less than a week away from AEW’s Forbidden Door crossover show with New Japan Pro Wrestling. That is the kind of a show that you do not get to see very often and it certainly has potential to be special. There are several matches already set for the show and now that total has gotten even higher as AEW has beefed up the card.
AEW added multiple matches to the Forbidden Door card this week on Dynamite. First up, the Buy-In show will include Max Caster and the Gunn Club facing Kevin Knight, Alex Coughlin and Yuya Uemura. Second, Jay White will defend the IWGP World Heavyweight Title against Kazuchika Okada, Hangman Page and Adam Cole. Finally, the Young Bucks will team with Hikuleo and El Phantasmo vs. Sting, Darby Allin, Shingo Takagi and Hiromu Takahashi. Zack Sabre Jr. was also confirmed for a match against an opponent to be named.
Opinion: This is the kind of big set of matches that has been needed for the card and now you can see most of what is goi..

Bryan Danielson Makes Major Health Announcement, Update On In-Ring Status

That’s good and bad. Injuries are one of the worst things that you can see take place in wrestling. You never know when you are going to see someone taken out of the ring due to getting hurt and that is always a bad thing. That is the case again with one of the biggest stars in the world, but now we know a bit more about what is going on and that is a good thing.
Bryan Danielson opened this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite and announced that he is not medically cleared to wrestle at the moment. As a result, he will miss Sunday’s Forbidden Door match against Zack Sabre Jr. as well as next week’s Blood & Guts match. Danielson did not give a date when he will be back but he did promise to return to the ring. He also promised that a replacement will take his place in both matches, with the same person wrestling both times.
Opinion: That is not good to hear, but it is a situation that certainly could be worse. It is great to see that Danielson is still able to be out there and stand in the ..

WRESTLING RUMORS: Triple H Returning To Old Position

Welcome back! To say there has been a lot of upheaval behind the scenes in WWE in recent months would be a huge understatement. The company’s front office has been turned upside down in a lot of ways and that is probably going to be continuing in the near future. It can be interesting to see how things shake out, and now another big change seems to be putting things back to how they were before.
According to John Pollock of Post Wrestling, Triple H is reportedly back at the WWE Performance Center and has said that he is “back”. This comes after Triple H has been away from NXT since August of 2021 when he suffered a cardiac event. There is no word on what Triple H will be doing or if he is going to have anywhere near the authority that he had before. This change follows John Laurinaitis being placed on administrative leave and Bruce Prichard being named the new Head of Talent Relations.
According to multiple sources, Paul Levesque was in Orlando today and spoke at the Performance Cent..

AEW Dynamite Results – June 22, 2022

Dynamite
Date: June 22, 2022
Location: UW Milwaukee Panther Arena, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross, Excalibur
We’re at the final Dynamite step before Forbidden Door on Sunday, which could be quite the rough night. Bryan Danielson is making an announcement about his future and it might not be the best news. Odds are we get some more matches announced for Sunday as well so let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Here is Bryan Danielson for the announcement. Tony Schiavone asks about his future but Danielson takes the mic and says he isn’t giving it back. Danielson says this is a great week to be an AEW fan or a professional wrestling fan. This Sunday we have Forbidden Door and then a week later we have Blood and Guts with all of the violence you could want. As for Forbidden Door, Zack Sabre Jr., he wanted to prove he was the best technical wrestler in the world, while Danielson wanted to crush Sabre Jr.’s trachea.
Unfortunately, he isn’t cleared to wrestle at F..

Important Update On Sasha Banks’ WWE Status

What a mess. There have been a lot of wrestling headlines this year but one of the biggest has been Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out on WWE. The two were the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions when they left and there is nothing to suggest that they will be back anytime soon. As you might have guessed, this is quite the complicated situation and now it is getting messier.
One of the more complicated aspects of the situation has been Banks’ contract status, with earlier reports saying that she had been let go from the company. However, according to Dave Meltzer on Sunday Night’s Main Event, Banks has yet to be released, though it could take place this week. There is nothing to suggest that Banks will return to the ring or even WWE programming.
Opinion: I don’t think it’s the biggest surprise that Banks will not be back on WWE TV, but the idea of WWE releasing her is more than a surprise. Banks is a very talented star, but at what point is that talent not worth all of the headach..

“Newcomers” Heading To AEW Dynamite This Week, Possible Forbidden Door Match Coming

I know him. We are coming up on AEW’s latest pay per view event with this weekend’s Forbidden Door. The show will feature a series of matches between AEW and New Japan wrestlers, many of whom have never met before. This opens up a variety of possibilities as there are some incredibly talented people on both sides of the roster. Now we might have a hint about what one of them will be doing.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, there will be some “newcomers” appearing on this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. Among the possible multiple names appearing on the show is Zack Sabre Jr., who has been teasing a match with Bryan Danielson. Sabre Jr. is expected to be at Dynamite and missed this week’s New Japan Road event to free up the date. However, Danielson is currently not cleared for the show and is expected to make an announcement about his status this week on Dynamite. It is not clear who Sabre Jr. will face if he is still appearing at Forbidden Door.
Opinion: Sabre Jr. vs. Danielson ..

Former WWE Star Makes Surprise Return To Former Promotion

It’s another place to go. WWE and AEW get most of the attention in the wrestling world and that is not going to change for the time being. That being said, they are also not the only promotions in the world and there is a lot of talent out there away from the major companies. Sometimes you see a former WWE wrestler try his luck elsewhere, and that is the case again with a homecoming.
Kushida made a surprise return to New Japan Pro Wrestling this week at the New Japan Road show in Tokyo. Kushida returned and confronted IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Taiji Ishimori, likely setting up a future match between the two. After the confrontation, Kushida announced that he would be spending the rest of his career with New Japan. This marked Kushida’s first appearance since leaving WWE in April of this year.
Opinion: I don’t know if Kushida returning to New Japan was so much a matter of if but rather when. He had the greatest successes of his career there and it makes sense to bring him back ..

Get Ready: Injured WWE Star Teases Return To The Ring

Welcome back. There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster and it can be easy to forget that some of them are around. Once you forget, it can be even easier to see them slip away for one reason or another. Sometimes that is due to some kind of an injury and that might be the case again. This time though, a wrestler seems like she is ready to make her big return.
WWE’s Queen Zelina has sent out a tweet saying that “your queen will return soon.” This comes after Zelina has not wrestled a match since the April 11 Monday Night Raw, during which she suffered an undisclosed injury. It is not clear if the injury has healed or what needed to be done to fix the situation. There is no word on when Zelina will be returning or what she will be doing when she gets back.
Aww I know my loyal subjects ? your queen will return soon, I promise! I am simply allowing the .. humans.. to have their fun.. for now. @wwe https://t.co/dU7sMlhJfy

Multiple Ouches: Injury Updates On Several AEW Stars

There is a lot to go through. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to a wrestler as you never know when someone is going to be put on the shelf. It could be for quite a long time or a short while, but either way it is something that can create quite the problem. That is the case again in AEW, but this time there are quite a few injuries at the same time.
Fightful Select is reporting updates on several AEW injuries. First up is Matt Hardy, who suffered some sort of a knee injury over the weekend at AAA’s TripleMania event in Tijuana, Mexico. Hardy’s knee is said to have “major” swelling but it is not clear how long he might be out, if he is at all. In addition, Bryan Danielson is currently not cleared to wrestle at AEW Forbidden Door, though he is expected to make an announcement about his injury status.
Next, Lee Johnson is currently out of action with a knee injury and is expected to be out of action for the rest of the summer. Finally, Darius Martin is also out of a..

Big Time: WWE Planning Major Match For Summerslam

That’s a plan for later. We are rapidly approaching WWE’s Money in the Bank pay per view and the show is going to be rather stacked. That being said, there are other major events later in the year that need to be built up as well. WWE also needs to get ready for Summerslam and now it seems that they have the plans in place for one of the bigger matches on the show.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Omos defeated Riddle in a Money in the Bank qualifying match. Following the match, Seth Rollins attacked Riddle, including laying him out with a Stomp. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this is likely setting up a match between the two at Summerslam. Riddle is currently not scheduled for Money in the Bank and Rollins has already qualified for the men’s ladder match, making Summerslam the first pay per view where the match could take place.
Opinion: I don’t think it is any kind of a surprise that Riddle vs. Rollins is coming, but waiting for Summerslam is a bit different. It is rare for W..
