Check Him Out: Celebrity Teases WWE Match By Training In A Ring

It’s a way to get people watching. Wrestling has a long history of working with celebrities, including bringing them into the ring. This opens up a variety of new doors for both stories as well as fans, as you do not know what you are going to get to see or how a celebrity will do in the ring. That seems to be the case again at an upcoming show and there is potential for some success.
Logan Paul has posted some photos to his Twitter showing him training in a wrestling ring, with WWE producer Shane Helms being visible in the ring as well. The photos appear to be from the WWE Performance Center, suggesting that Paul may be working with WWE. Paul has appeared for WWE before, including a match at WrestleMania 38 where he teamed with the Miz, who turned on him after the match. There is no word on a match between Miz and Paul at the moment.

A Big Night: Multiple New Champions Crowned At AEW Forbidden Door

That’s the main point. Titles are often the centerpiece of a wrestling promotion because everyone understands how they work. A championship is the kind of thing that tells a fan who is the best wrestler around and one of them changing hands can make a huge difference. That was the case again this weekend, as several titles changed hands on a single night.
AEW held its Forbidden Door event on Sunday night and multiple titles changed hands. First up, FTR won the IWGP Tag Team Titles by defeating Roppongi Vice and reigning champions the United Empire. FTR also retained their Ring Of Honor Tag Team Titles in the process. Next, Pac became the inaugural All-Atlantic Champion by defeating Malakai Black, Clark Connors and Miro in a four way match.
Finally, Jon Moxley defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi in the main event to win the inaugural Interim AEW World Title. AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa, IWGP United States Champion Will Ospreay and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White all retained th..

Him Too: Former WWE Star Makes AEW Debut At Forbidden Door

There’s your new name. AEW has come a long way in just over three years of existence and a lot of its success comes from its roster. The company has more stars than it knows what to do with from around the world. As a result, the company is able to present a variety of matches with different kinds of stars and now they have a new international star to add to the list.
AEW’s Forbidden Door pay per view includes a match between Zack Sabre Jr. and a mystery opponent. Sabre Jr.’s original opponent was scheduled to be Bryan Danielson, but an injury forced him from the match. Danielson hand picked an opponent in Claudio Castagnoli, better known as Cesaro, who defeated Sabre Jr. in the match. Castagnoli has since been announced as an official part of the AEW roster.
Welcome to the team, @ClaudioCSRO!
Claudio Castagnoli is ALL ELITE!
See you this Wednesday Night for #AEWDynamite #BloodAndGuts!
Thank you to everyone all around the world who watched #ForbiddenDoor tonight! pic.twitter.com/d..

AEW Forbidden Door Live Coverage And Results

Forbidden Door
Date: June 26, 2022
Location: United Center, Chicago, Illinois
Commentators: Excalibur, Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone
It’s a special show as we have a host of international guest stars from New Japan coming in for a bunch of big time matches. The main event is for the Interim AEW World Title as CM Punk being stripped of the title was off the table. Other than that, we have a series of title matches which should make for a great show. Let’s get to it.
Buy-In: Hirooki Goto/Yoshi-Hashi vs. QT Marshall/Aaron Solo Solo and Hashi start things off with Hashi working on a headlock. A running shoulder drops Solo again so it’s off to Marshall vs. Goto, with the latter knocking Marshall around without much trouble. Solo comes back in and cheap shots Hashi though, allowing Marshall to get in a cheap shot on Goto. That lasts all of a few seconds before the big beatdown is on to put Solo back in trouble. Everything breaks down and Marshall’s cartwheel tumbling dive drops Goto and Hashi.

AEW Forbidden Door Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

This is a special show as we will be getting a big crossover between AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling in a series of….I guess you would call them dream matches. The show has had a lot of things thrown onto the card in a short amount of time and the build has been ok for the most part. The good thing is that the action itself should be more than enough to make it work, so hopefully they can live up to the hype. Let’s get to it.
Buy-In Show: Gunn Club/Max Caster vs. Yuya Uemura/Alex Coughlin/DKC/Kevin Knight We have the AEW mashup team against the Young Lions and that is a good way to go here. Throw in Billy Gunn to make things work and be the in-ring coach and it should work out well enough. I’ve seen the Lions before and they’re capable of having some good stuff, so the pieces are set up here. Give them a few minutes and let them warm the crowd up and everything should be ok.
I’ll take the Young Lions to win here, as pinning one of the Gunns isn’t going to hurt them that much. If noth..

More Details On AEW’s Blood & Guts Match, To Be Bigger This Year

They have a plan for that. While Forbidden Door is coming up later this weekend, there is another major AEW event taking place in less than a week. That would be a special edition of Dynamite, featuring the second ever Blood & Guts match. The match is AEW’s version of the classic WarGames match and is extremely violent. Now we have a bit of an update on what to expect from the whole thing.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the match is expected to be six on six, an upgrade from last year’s five on five. The match is expected to feature Chris Jericho, Daniel Garcia, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Matt Menard and Angelo Parker vs. Eddie Kingston, Jon Moxley, Santana, Ortiz, Wheeler Yuta and a mystery partner. Yuta was always planned for the match and is the reason why Guevara was added to the other side.
Opinion: That is quite a bit for a single match but at least they are going to have two rings to space things out a bit more. Blood & Guts is a match idea that has worked for..

Ring Of Honor Could Be Announcing Its Next Event Soon

They might have a plan. There are a lot of wrestling promotions around the world and some of them have been around for a very long time. It can mean a lot to have that kind of brand recognition and history and now one of the promotions seems to have a new life. AEW owner Tony Khan purchased Ring Of Honor earlier this year and now we might know something about what he is doing with it.
Ring Of Honor returned from a several month hiatus in April, with its annual Supercard of Honor event. The show featured appearances from several AEW stars and was followed by Ring Of Honor wrestlers appearing on AEW TV. According to PWInsider.com, an announcement about Ring Of Honor’s next event is expected in the next few days. This comes after Ring Of Honor was more prominently featured on AEW TV this week.
Opinion: This is what Ring Of Honor needs more than anything else. You can have your individual matches and your appearances on AEW and they’re great but at the end of the day, you need to have Ri..

LOOK: Randy Orton Has Changed Up His Look While Away From WWE

It’s a different way to go. Wrestling is a lot of things, but ultimately it is a visual medium that needs someone to be able to see the wrestlers. If a wrestler does not catch your attention with their appearance, it can be a lot more difficult to find a reason to connect with them. That means a change in appearance can make a lot of difference and that might be the case again.
Following WrestleMania Backlash and a loss to the Usos, RKBRo was attacked by the Bloodline, resulting in Randy Orton being written off of television. Orton has a real life back injury that could keep him off of television for the remainder of the year. Some photos have appeared on Twitter showing Orton with a clean shaven face, rather than his usual mustache, sitting by a pool in Missouri. There is currently no specific date on when Orton will return to the ring.

Believe It Or Not: Another Popular AEW Star Injured

Yes, again. Injuries can stop a wrestling promotion’s momentum cold and there isn’t much that can be done about them. A wrestler can be taken out of action out of nowhere and plans have to be changed on the fly. Unfortunately these things can happen in bunches and that seems to be the case again, as another prominent star has been taken out of action due to an injury.
According to F4WOnline.com, AEW’s Jungle Boy is out of action with an undisclosed injury and he will be missing some time. There is no word on when he was hurt or when he will be back in the ring. This comes after Christian Cage attacked Jungle Boy to end the June 15 edition of AEW Dynamite and is the latest in a long string of injuries to nearly ten AEW stars.
Opinion: I can’t remember the last time that I saw a promotion as snake bit by injuries as AEW right now. It feels like the company can’t go three days without someone else getting hurt and that is going to catch up with them sooner rather than later. At some poi..

WATCH: Alexa Bliss Rocks Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” On Stage At Music Festival

She has chops. There are a lot of pieces that go into being a professional wrestler but at the end of the day, it is mainly about being a performer. A wrestler has to go in front of the crowd and make them care about what is going on. That can be easier said than done, but it is clear that wrestlers have some talent for being center stage. That was the case again this weekend.
Over the weekend, WWE’s Alexa Bliss joined her husband Ryan Cabrera on stage at the Powell Festival in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio. Bliss performed part of Eminem’s Lose Yourself, with Cabrera joining her on guitar. Bliss has a bit of a history with music, including appearing in the music video for Bowling For Soup’s song Alexa Bliss, which is obviously named after her.
This was pretty cool. Check out Bliss on stage:

Yes, Again: Another Last Minute Change To AEW Forbidden Door Card

Yes, another one. With just over twenty four hours to go before AEW’s Forbidden Door event, you would think most of the card would be set. AEW is ready to take on the stars of New Japan in a series of matches, which should make for a rather fun night. However, even with so little time left, another change has been made, though this time it wasn’t WWE’s decision to make.
AEW has announced that Hiromu Takahashi has a fever and is not allowed to travel to the United States for his match at Forbidden Door. Takahashi was scheduled to team with Sting, Darby Allin and Shingo Takagi against the Young Bucks, Hikuleo and El Phantasmo, but the match will now be a six man tag with Hikuleo also sitting out. There is no word on if Takahashi will wrestle for AEW in the future to make up for this show.
Hiromu Takahashi (@TIMEBOMB1105) has a fever and can’t travel to America to compete at Forbidden Door. The match will now be a trios match with #BulletClub (@youngbucks & @elpwrestling, with @Hiku_Leo..

REVIEW: No Way Out 2007: They’re Still Pretending

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?

It’s that show where WWE pretends that it matters while showing us a commercial for Wrestlemania. The main event is a tag match between the Wrestlemania main events, which should be a quality though unimportant match. Other than that, we are getting a Divas Talent Show, which should be as exciting as it sounds. Let’s get to it.
