WHAT? Stone Cold Steve Austin Backstage At Recent WWE Event, Offers Thoughts On Show

That’s a special one. There are all kinds of great stars in wrestling history but only a few have approached the level of Steve Austin. He is one of the biggest stars in the history of the industry and one of the most influential names in modern wrestling. Having him around means something and that was the case again this weekend, even if you probably didn’t see him on camera.
WWE held a live event on Sunday night in Reno, Nevada under their Sunday Stunner banner. Natalya was on the show and revealed that WWE Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin was backstage at the event. Austin responded to the tweet, praising the crowd as well as the wrestlers, saying they gave the fans a “helluva show”. Austin last appeared for WWE at WrestleMania 38 where he main evented night one and beat up Vince McMahon on night two.
The coolest part of tonight in Reno was having @steveaustinBSR at our show watching every match backstage… Steve is the best. Truly. ??

WWE Legend Agrees To New Deal With The Company

He’ll be around for a bit. Over the history of wrestling, very few stars are able to truly stand out above the rest. It takes something special to make it work that well but some wrestlers manage to make it work. There are different ways to pull this off and you know one of these major stars when you see one. Now you might get to see one of them a bit more often.
WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley has announced that he has signed a new legends deal with WWE, meaning that his Pro Wrestling Tees store will be closing as of July 31. Foley released the video to announce why the store would no longer be available. Foley has worked with WWE on and off since retiring from the ring. There is nothing to suggest that Foley will be returning to WWE television in the near future.
He can say it better. Check out Foley’s announcement:

Opinion: This is one of those things that happens every now and then and it is nice to see Foley getting this kind of a chance…

It’s Worth A Shot: WWE Has Surprising Plans For Returning Character

That’s a way to go. With so many storylines going on WWE television at any given time, it can be difficult to have something that stands out. Sometimes you can see it work due to just how unique the whole thing is, and that seems to be what is happening again on Monday Night Raw. There is currently a pretty different story, and now we might have an idea of where it is going.
Starting on the Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania 38, Elias’ younger brother Ezekiel made his debut. Since the, Ezekiel has insisted that he and Elias are different people, with Elias making an appearance on Monday Night Raw last month. According to Fightful Select, the plan is that Elias will be integrated into Monday Night Raw, with materials being planned for him. However, the same report says that Elias had an appearance planned for this week’s show but he did not show up.
Opinion: This does answer a few questions about the situation, but I’m not sure how long this can last. It’s certainly a unique idea, bu..

It’s Working: Very Positive Sign For Liv Morgan At WWE Live Events

They’re doing something right. While the main focus of WWE is on television, there is a lot that takes place off of television that is only there for the fans in attendance. This is mainly the case with live events, where the wrestlers are able to try out some different things. It is also a place where the fans can tell WWE what they might be more interested in seeing, and that was the case again over the weekend.
According to PWInsider.com, a source at the SmackDown live events from over the weekend has never heard louder crowd reactions for Liv Morgan. In addition, her merchandise is said to be selling in high numbers at the same events. This comes after Morgan won the women’s Money In The Bank briefcase earlier this month and cashed in on Ronda Rousey to win the SmackDown Women’s Title. Morgan is set to defend against Rousey at Summerslam.
Opinion: Well good for Morgan. That is the kind of thing that you want to see as a wrestler and it is also great to see as a fan. Morgan’s titl..

WATCH: Natalya Seems To Break Character At WWE Live Event (This Is Weird)

These things happen. Wrestling has a lot of moving parts to any show, but it always comes down to the idea of people in the ring together having a match. That is a very tricky thing to do while keeping each other safe and having things go as planned and sometimes something can go wrong. It seems that was the case over the weekend in something you do not see happen very often.
A clip from a WWE live event in Sacramento, California over the weekend shows Liv Morgan defeating Natalya with her signature Oblivion. However, after the match ends, Natalya pops up, shouts at Morgan, and leaves. According to Sportskeeda.com, Natalya, in a since deleted tweet, responded to the video, saying that while she was breaking character, she was saying “THANKYOU” to Morgan. There is no word on what led to the situation.
It’s certainly different. Check out what happened after the match:

REVIEW: Summerslam 2014: The Biggest Fight Of The Summer

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?
Summerslam 2014
Date: August 17, 2014
Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, California
Attendance: 14,079
Commentators: Michael Cole, John Bradshaw Layfield, Jerry Lawler
Time for a redo of a show with a main event billed as the Biggest Fight of the Summer. The more I think of that line, the more I like it. The main event here is Cena (subbing for the injured Bryan) defending against Brock Lesnar, who is having his first match since breaking the Streak. Interestingly enough, I don’t even remember another match fr..

Monday Night Raw Results – July 11, 2022

Monday Night Raw
Date: July 11, 2022
Location: AT&T Center, San Antonio, Texas
Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton
We’re well on the way to Summerslam and that means the card is mostly set. I’m curious to see what that means we are going to be seeing added to the show, as that can often be more interesting than seeing things built up even more. If nothing else, Brock Lesnar is here tonight so let’s get to it.
We open with a recap from Smackdown with Roman Reigns saying things pick up when the Big Dog comes around.
Here is Brock Lesnar to get things going. Brock says God bless Texas and even takes his hat off to show some manners. Reigns talks about how Roman Reigns has been living high on the hog and at Summerslam, the hog is being slaughtered, like Lesnar does on his ranch. Violence is promised, but here is Paul Heyman to interrupt. Lesnar: “Speak of the hog.” Heyman talks about how Lesnar is a monster, but the fans say Heyman sucks. Lesnar asks if Heyman is going..

That’s A Crossover: AEW Is Teaming Up With Shark Week For A Very Special Match

That’s a way to go. There are a lot of wrestling shows that take place on any given week. That means there are all kinds of ways to build them up, meaning the different promotions need to come up with something fresh. Sometimes these ideas are not ones that a wrestling company comes up with on their own, and that seems to be the case again this coming week.
AEW has announced that Eddie Kingston and Chris Jericho will face off this week on Dynamite. The match will be a barbed wire death match with the rest of the Jericho Appreciation Society suspended above the ring in shark cages. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this is the result, of Discovery wanting to tie the show in to their Shark Week. This is what AEW came up with to satisfy their request.
Opinion: That’s certainly unique, but really what else was there for AEW to do? Shark Week and professional wrestling don’t have many things in common so this was about as good as they could have done. If nothing else, maybe the match..

That’s Why It’s There: WWE Announces Eye Popping Record WrestleMania Revenue

That’s why they do it. There are all kinds of wrestling shows through the WWE’s calendar every year and some of them are more important than others. At the very top of the list is WrestleMania, which has long since been established as the biggest wrestling show of the year. It is such a big deal that cities will bid on the right to host it, and now we can see why that is the case.
WWE has announced that this year’s WrestleMania 38 brought in $206 million in revenue to the Dallas, Texas area. This is a new record for WrestleMania revenue and the first time the show has broken two hundred million dollars. The revenue brought in was the equivalent of 1,777 full time jobs in the area, as 67% of the fans were from outside the Dallas/Arlington region.
Opinion: And that right there is why it’s a big deal for a city to get to host WrestleMania: it brings in a fortune to a local economy like nothing else could possibly do. That is something that is going to work every single time and it seems..

The Annoyingest: Bianca Belair Has Something Special Stolen From Her

That’s ridiculous. Wrestling is a lot of things, but ultimately it is a visual medium. The point of wrestling is for fans to watch what is going on and get invested as a result. There are a variety of ways to get fans’ attention on wrestling, many of which involve changing up a wrestler’s appearance. One modern wrestler has tried to do that multiple times, but now it might not be as easy.
Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair announced on her Instagram Stories that someone stole her Survivor Series gear. Belair warned anyone who might see it for sale online that it might be stolen. There was no word on when the gear was stolen or where it was stolen from. Belair is known to design and make her own gear, which she did earlier this year at WrestleMania 38.

KO OK? Medical Update On Kevin Owens

That could be worse. There are all kinds of reasons for a wrestler to be away from the ring for an extended period of time. One of the most common is an injury, which can vary widely by degree. Perhaps the most annoying kind of the nagging injury though, as you don’t know how long someone is going to be on the shelf. That is the case again with a WWE star, but we might have some good news.
Kevin Owens has been missing from WWE television over the last few weeks, reportedly due to an unspecified minor injury. According to Dave Meltzer on the Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast, Owens is reportedly “fine” and should be back in a few weeks. The situation is said to not be Coronavirus related. Owens had been feuding with Ezekiel before leaving and it is not clear what he will be doing when he gets back.
Opinion: I’m getting curious about what kind of an injury this is, as a minor injury doesn’t usually keep someone out of action for the better part of a month. It’s a shame that he has to b..

KB’s Review: Yes, Again

It must be that time of year again because I get to talk about WWE doing something stupid that misses the point of everything they were trying to do. Believe it or not, it’s Money In The Bank season again and despite the show being held just over a week ago, one of the briefcases is already gone. Also believe it or not, WWE didn’t do things in a logical way, but this time they are hammering things into the ground so much that it is somehow becoming even worse.
As you will know if you have watched any WWE programming since Money In The Bank, Liv Morgan won the women’s Money In The Bank ladder match, cashed in on an injured Ronda Rousey a few hours later, and is now the SmackDown Women’s Champion. WWE has somehow turned this into a moment on the level of Shawn Michaels’ Boyhood Dream and at this point, I can’t even say I’m surprised.
Following the win, and even immediately following it, WWE treated Morgan’s win into something for the ages and hasn’t really stopped since then. Between p..
