AEW Rampage Results – December 16, 2022

•

Rampage Date: December 16, 2022 Location: Curtis Culwell Center, Garland, Texas Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone We’re almost done with the year and the interesting point here came from Tony Khan, who promised to put in some more effort on this show. I’m not sure what that is going to mean, but the card certainly does look to be a bit bigger than usual. That might not last beyond a week or two, but I’ll take what I can get. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jon Moxley vs. Sammy Guevara Tay Melo is here too. Guevara knees him in the face to start and bites away in the corner. That earns Guevara a clothesline to the floor as we see Daniel Garcia, now under Guevara’s tutelage, watching in the back. Moxley is happy with fighting outside and loads up a chair, only to be sent back inside. That’s fine with Moxley, who grabs a jumping cutter into a superplex for two. Guevara manages to backflip over him though and hits a dropkick out to the floor. A hard stomp on the apro..

A Way To Go: WWE Hall Of Famer Thinks 44 Year Old Could End Retirement Soon

He has an idea. There are some great wrestling stars who are no longer active wrestlers. That does not mean their careers are over though, as there are other roles that they can fill once their in-ring career is over. However, there are still some moments where an ex-wrestler is the perfect choice to put back in the ring, and now one legend thinks that might be the right move. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Safe At Home: Hacksaw Jim Duggan Explains How He Stopped An Intruder At Gunpoint The end of this week’s Monday Night Raw featured Bobby Lashley shoving a referee who he blamed for a loss to Seth Rollins. As a result, WWE executive Adam Pearce came to the ring and fired Lashley, only to reinstate him the next day. During a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall Of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley suggested that Pearce could face Lashley in a match. Pearce, 44 years old and a former five time NWA World Champion, retired from full time competition in 2014 but wrestled two matches for WWE in 202..

REVIEW: Prestige Wrestling: Attribute Of The Strong – The Rare Hidden Gem

•

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net, starting today. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Attribute Of The Strong Date: June 29, 2019 Location: Bossanova Ballroom, Portland, Oregon Commentator: Joe Dumbrowski It’s another show from Independentwrestling.TV as I get everything I can out of a free trial. This is from Prestige Wrestling, a promotion out of the northwest with some names I’ve actually heard of for a change. I’m not sure what to expect from this but that can make it more fun at times. Let’s get to it. As usual, I have no idea what is going on here with characters or storylines s..

Safe At Home: Hacksaw Jim Duggan Explains How He Stopped An Intruder At Gunpoint

•

Another kind of match. There are a lot of ways to describe a wrestler but one that would come up as often as any other might be tough. Wrestlers are athletes who have to make you believe they are in a real fight, which can be rather tricky at times. On occasion, they have to do something very legitimate, and that was the case in a much more serious situation for a wrestling legend. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Back Soon: AEW Star Reveals Recent Surgery During a new interview with Wrestlinginc.com, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Duggan revealed that a man broke into his home on December 8 at around 6:45pm, armed with a gun. Duggan took the man down and took the gun from him, holding him at gunpoint until the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Department arrived to arrest the man. Duggan said that the intruder was frightened as people from a nearby home were attempting to kill him and entered the home after pounding on several other nearby doors. Following the arrest, Duggan declined to press charges against t..

Back Soon: AEW Star Reveals Recent Surgery

•

You won’t be seeing him for a bit. There are a lot of different dimensions to wrestling, but at the end of the day, it is a physical sport that can cause a lot of damage to the wrestlers themselves. You never know when you might see someone get injured and be put on the shelf. Sometimes wrestlers need to get a piece of themselves fixed up and that seems to have taken place again. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Miro Offers Update On His AEW Return Status AEW’s Griff Garrison has revealed that he underwent a surgery in North Carolina this week. Garrison did not reveal the nature of his injury or how long he expected to be on the shelf recovering. Garrison, 24 years old, has not wrestled since the October 21 edition of AEW Dark, though there is no word on if the surgery is related to his recent absence from the ring. Out of her league? After a seven month ordeal, it seems that Sasha Banks’ time with WWE is about to come to an end. While there is always the chance that something could change at the last minute, Banks seems to be heading over to New Japan Pro Wrestling, ending her ten year tenure with the company. Now we might know an important detail that led to the two sides splitting. During her time in WWE, Banks headlined multiple pay per views, including the first night of WrestleMania 37. Banks has done a lot of impressive things during her tenure with the compa..

WATCH: SmackDown Mystery Attacker Revealed Backstage

The quick reveal. There are certain angles in wrestling that come up every so often and will work pretty much every time. One of the best is a mystery, as it gives the fans a reason to keep watching to see where things are going. This week will see Gunther defend the Intercontinental Title against World Cup winner Ricochet, which should make for a solid main event. Other than that, Roman Reigns is here so let’s get to it. The Usos and Sami Zayn arrive. Opening sequence. Women’s Tag Team Titles: Damage Ctrl vs. Liv Morgan/Tegan Nox Damage Ctrl, with Bayley, is defending. Nox takes over on Sky to start and hits a gordbuster, setting up a double suplex for a near fall. Morgan comes in and knocks Sky to the floor, where she gives chase with the kendo stick. Impact Wrestling Date: December 15, 2022 Location: Charles F. Dodge City Center, Pembroke Pines, Florida Commentators: Matthew Rehwoldt, Tom Hannifan We are less than a month away from Hard To Kill and the title situations are rather interesting. We have the Major Brothers coming after the Tag Team Titles, Jordynne Grace vs. Mickie James set for a title vs. career match and Josh Alexander defending against Bully Ray. That’s a lot to build towards so let’s get to it. Opening recap. Eddie Edwards vs. Delirious This was going to be last week’s main event but then Josh Alexander vs. Mike Bailey almost hit an hour so it was punted to this week. They go technical to start and that’s good for a standoff. Edwards can’t grab an O’Connor roll but he can chop Delirious down, only to have Delirious come back up with a leg lariat. An overhead belly to belly cuts that off in a hurry though and Eddie can fire off more chops. Delirious starts running the ropes in that bizarre manner of his so Edwa..

Opinion: AEW’s Future Should NOT Involve ex-WWE Talent

•

Last week on Dynamite, MJF and Ricky Starks had a match that tore the house down. The storytelling was fantastic, the action was great, and the build up leading into the match made me very emotionally interested to see what was going to happen. This was Starks’ breakout match, and I hope it leads to him being a main event player in AEW for a long time. However, as I was watching the show the last week, I realized something very, very important. And it’s something that could be the foundation for how AEW operates in the future. In my opinion, the future of AEW does not involve ex-WWE talent, but rather the stars it is creating on its own. I’ve said for a long time that Tony Khan has relied too much on talent from other promotions that were either released, or decided to leave, because they thought the grass would be greener on the other side. As we’ve seen with AEW’s booking, as well as how the superstars have been used, nothing could be further from the truth. We don’t know what we ..

How have your relationships with your family changed after addressing those pitfalls of the past? Jake Roberts: “It’s gotten better. My oldest daughter and I are now golden. I have another daughter who’s golden. I have twin boys who are golden. But I do have four other children, who are…still holding their ground. I understand it. I’m not trying to shove anything down their throats. “I’m guilty of everything I did and didn’t do. RUMOR KILLER On Chris Jericho And Sasha Banks’ New Japan Payoffs

•

He would know. There are a lot of wrestlers in the professional wrestling industry, but one of the most important parts of the industry is the first word: professional. These wrestlers are out there competing for money and the more successful they have been in their careers, the more money they are going to make. Now one wrestler is setting the record straight, or at least straighter, on some of his pay issues. Sasha Banks is currently set to debut with New Japan Pro Wrestling at the January 4 Wrestle Kingdom 17 event. A report earlier this week said that she would be making $100,000 per appearance, which was said to be more than Chris Jericho made for his appearances with the company. Jericho has since responded to the rumor, saying that he never had a flat appearance deal and was paid according to the event. In addition, Jericho said that he made more per event than he made for “MOST of my Wrestlemania matches”. Jericho wrestled six matches with New Japan from 2018-2020. For the re..

That’s not the same thing. With so many wrestlers on the AEW roster, it can be difficult to find time for everyone to get on the television shows.
