BREAKING: Scott Steiner Collapses At TV Tapings, Rushed To Hospital

First and foremost, let me make it clear that things seem to be ok. That’s a scary situation. Wrestlers are a weird cross between some of the most unique people in the world and normal people like you and I. There are going to be good days and bad days, but at the end of the day, their health is what matters most. Some wrestlers are in better shape than others, but on occasion bad things can happen out of nowhere, which was the case this week. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, Scott Steiner collapsed at Friday night’s Impact Wrestling tapings and was rushed to the hospital. Steiner was filming a backstage segment when he collapsed, though it is not clear what happened. Since then, both Scott D’Amore and Tommy Dreamer have tweeted from the hospital, saying that Steiner was “doing well” and “is ok”. Steiner was taking part in a TNA themed episode of Impact Wrestling and is scheduled to be part of the TNA themed event over WrestleMania weekend. Things are looking rough for S..

Will Seth Rollins and Murphy Continue to Be a Tag Team After WrestleMania 36?

On a previous episode of Raw, Seth Rollins and Murphy lost their Tag Team Championships to the Street Profits, due to Kevin Owens delivering a Stunner to Rollins. This led to Montez Ford performing his Frog Splash on Rollins, and pinning him for the win. The feud between Owens and Rollins have been going on for quite some time. In fact, Rollins’ feud with Owens actually led Rollins to turn heel, although Rollins’ heel turn was also prompted by the fans turning on him during his feud with The Fiend Bray Wyatt. Now, Rollins leads a stable, which also includes Murphy and the AOP. Owens contributing to Rollins & Murphy’s loss increases the rumors that the two will be competing against each other at WrestleMania 36. However, where does this leave Rollins’ tag team with Murphy? According to The Citizens Voice, Rollins & Murphy are scheduled to compete in a tag team match against The Street Profits. This will be at the Mohegan Sun Arena on May, 11, over a month after WrestleMania. At Elim..

AJ Styles Receives Prestigious Wrestling Award

Who else would it be? It might be a few months into the new decade, but there is still time for a few more accolades over the last ten years. There are a lot of awards to consider and a lot of organizations have a lot of things to say about wrestling. This includes arguably the most prestigious award of all over this span of time: Wrestler of the Decade. Now we know one of the biggest winners. Wrestling magazines used to be the go to source for wrestling information. There were all kinds of magazines out there and while some of them were a little more accurate than others, they were the most important form of journalism in the wrestling world. They have gone downhill since the rise of the internet, but there are a few left, with one of them having quite an important award of its own. Pro Wrestling Illustrated has named AJ Styles its Wrestler of the Decade for the 2010s. Styles wrestled around the world over the last decade, winning World Titles in Impact Wrestling, New Japan and WWE,..

Edge Set For Monday Night Raw Return

It’s about that time. Earlier this year at the Royal Rumble, Edge made his shocking return to the ring. It took almost nine years for him to get back to WWE and it was one of the biggest surprises that WWE has presented in years. The return made it clear that he would be doing a lot more for WWE in the future but things were a little derailed again. Now, we might know his next step. The night after the Royal Rumble, Randy Orton attacked Edge and put him back on the shelf with a Conchairto. Orton would eventually explain that he attack Edge to prevent Edge from making the same mistakes that Orton had. This was capped off by an RKO to Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix, which meant it was time for some revenge. Now we know when Edge might start getting back at Orton. WWE.com has announced that Edge will be back on Monday Night Raw on the March 9 edition. This will be Edge’s first appearance on the show since January 27. There is no word on what Edge will do on the show, though he has been rumore..

TV Title: Zicky Dice vs. Ricky Starks Dice is challenging and takes Starks to the mat without much trouble. Starks gets knocked down again and this time Dice wraps his ribs around the post. WWE Forgot About Michelle McCool In A Women’s History Tribute And Undertaker Isn’t Happy About It

You don’t want to make him mad. There are a lot of influential people in WWE and some of those people are more influential than others. On occasion, you find someone whose statements can change things in the blink of an eye and that is the kind of thing that you have to notice. If someone that important isn’t happy in WWE, it can cause some shakeups. WWE may have angered someone they wish they hadn’t. Just shy of five years ago, women’s wrestling changed forever in the form of the Women’s Revolution. The moment changed everything, but it was not the first time that women mattered in wrestling. There were several women who brought women’s wrestling a long way and they deserve some attention. WWE tried to do that for Women’s History month but one name was left out, and a legend wasn’t happy. On Monday, WWE released a gallery of forty five former Women’s Champions. Michelle McCool was not on the list and brought it up on Twitter and complained about the situation, saying that while she ..

Jeff Hardy Gives Major Update On His WWE Status

That’s a good thing to hear. Injuries are the kind of things that are going to hurt every wrestler at some point in their careers. Wrestling is a violent, physical sport at its core and there is no way around the injury bug. Some of these can be a lot worse than others, but there are injuries that can put you on the shelf for the better part of a year. One of the most popular wrestlers in WWE history was on the shelf with such an injury and now he is ready to come back. There are very few names in the history of the WWE as popular as Jeff Hardy. His strange mixture of talent and charisma propelled him to the top of the company and that is the kind of thing that almost no one has ever been able to do. Hardy has not been around all that much as of late though, due to a combination of a knee injury and legal issues. One of those will be cleared up shortly after WrestleMania, but the other has already been cleared up. Hardy was a guest on this week’s edition of Backstage and announced th..

WWE Announces The Next Member Of The Hall Of Fame Class Of 2020

It’s one of the biggest honors there is in WWE. Wrestling is built around titles, but with so many of them, they may not have quite the same impact that they had before. It’s almost harder to not win a title than it is to win one these days, but there are other accolades to win. One of the biggest around today is a career achievement, and we now know someone else who will be receiving such a thing. We are in the middle of the build towards WrestleMania 36 and that means a lot of things are going on at once. This includes the announcements of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2020, which is quite the honor. I know there are some questionable members of the Hall of Fame but at the same time, it still feels like a big deal for the wrestlers involved. Now, another one will be receiving that honor. This week on WWE Backstage, John Bradshaw Layfield was announced as the newest entrant into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2020. Layfield is a former WWE Champion and has held almost every champions..

Vince McMahon May Have Given Up On A Popular Monday Night Raw Star

That’s a pretty negative endorsement. Whether you are a fan of his or not, there is no denying that Vince McMahon is the ultimate power in all of professional wrestling. Whatever he decides is going to take place is what is going to take place and he can make or break a career in the blink of an eye. That might be the case at the moment, and there are going to be some unhappy fans. If there is one thing that NXT has accomplished in WWE, it is bringing in all kinds of new talent to the company. There have been so many big names and great wrestlers who have been brought into the company and those names are making their way up to the main roster. That being said, there is so much talent that not everyone is going to get a huge push, and we might know who falls into that weaker category. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, McMahon has given up on Ricochet, based on Ricochet losing to Riddick Moss on Monday Night Raw. There was no specific reason given for McMahon giving up, though it ..

AEW Dark Results – March 3, 2020

If you would like to see this show for free, you can watch it in full right here: Dark Date: March 3, 2020 Location: Wintrust Arena, Chicago, Illinois Commentators: Excalibur, Taz So there was an episode of Dark on Friday but where would we be without getting to see the other match that took place before Revolution? Ignoring the big question of why we needed another one aside from having this one match for this show, there are a lot of interviews to go with the single match. Let’s get to it. We look at Colt Cabana saving SCU from the Dark Order on the pre-show. Colt Cabana has been friends with the people who run this company and he’s glad to be here, even though he hasn’t signed a contract. If the Dark Order wants to do this, let’s go. He’s got SCU’s backs and the Elite’s backs if they want him. A fired up Christopher Daniels doesn’t think there is an Exalted One behind the Dark Order. SCU and Cabana are ready to fight the Dark Order. Quick look at Nyla Rose retaining the Women’..

Full Details On Dark Side Of The Ring Season 2, Chris Jericho To Play Big Role

That’s going to get some people talking. Wrestling is one of the most fascinating industries that you will ever find. With so many people coming and going and all of the stories that have taken place both in and out of the ring, wrestling has all kinds of stories that can be told. There are a lot of wrestling fans who know the better stories, but there are a lot of people who don’t. Some of those stories are going to be told to a bigger audience in the near future. Last year, a television series called Dark Side of the Ring debuted, offering a look at some of the better (and not so much better) known stories in the wrestling world. The series of documentaries looked at some stories that a lot of fans have heard of before but the key idea was offering them to the masses for the first time. The show was a hit and now it is time to see where they are going next. On Tuesday, Vice TV announced details for the second season of Dark Side of the Ring, including the subjects of the nine episo..

VIDEO: Drew McIntyre Calls Out Randy Orton After Monday Night Raw, Gets Someone Else

It was a busy night. We are less than five weeks away from WrestleMania 36 and that means the build towards the show is in high gear. There are a lot of things already set for the show and there are also a lot of things that you know are going to be announced for the show but haven’t quite made it there yet. One of the most important matches has been made though and one of the participants was in action after Monday Night Raw. Back in January, Drew McIntyre won the Royal Rumble by eliminating Brock Lesnar with the Claymore. McIntyre would go on to win the entire match, becoming #1 contender for the WWE Championship. It was the biggest win of his career and now it is time for WWE to make him a star on the road to Tampa. They can do that by having him win one big match after another, which is what happened in the post show dark match. This week’s Monday Night Raw ended with Randy Orton hitting Beth Phoenix with an RKO. After the show went off the air, McIntyre called out Orton for a ma..

Another Title Match Added To Elimination Chamber

Of course there’s time for that. We are less than a week away from Elimination Chamber and that means the card should be mostly set. I say should be because WWE has a bad habit of waiting until the very last minute to announce a lot of the matches taking place on the show. This one is no different, as two matches were added on Monday night and another on Tuesday. There are a lot of titles in WWE but the United States Title has been an interesting one as of late. The current champion is Andrade, though he only came back from a suspension less than a week ago. Therefore the title has been in limbo for a few weeks now, with no word on what would happen when Andrade got back. Well he’s back now and we know where things are going. WWE.com has announced that Andrade will defend the United States Title against Humberto Carrillo at Elimination Chamber. The match announcement comes the day after Carrillo pinned Andrade in a tag team match in the main event of Monday Night Raw. Carrillo challe..

AEW Dark Results – February 28, 2020

If you would like to check out this show for free, you can see it in full right here: Dark Date: February 28, 2020 Location: Silverstein Eye Centers Arena, Kansas City, Missouri Commentators: Excalibur, Tazz Hosts: Tony Schiavone, Dasha Gonzalez This is a bit of a special edition as the show was uploaded on Friday instead of the usual Tuesday due to Revolution on Saturday. Odds are it is going to be the same kind of show as we always see and I’m not sure what that is going to mean. It’s all going to depend on the wrestling, which tends to be the case more often than not. Let’s get to it. Sonny Kiss vs. Luther Luther goes straight at him with the chops on the ropes, followed by a kick to the face. Choking with the jacket ensues and Luther hits him with the bell…which isn’t a DQ. Luther gets some near falls off some suplexes but Sonny kicks him in the face. A cartwheel kick to the ribs in the corner has Luther in more trouble but he powerbombs Sonny down. Luther grabs a camel clutch a..

New Matches, Including A Title Match, Set For Elimination Chamber

There’s more to it than that. We are less than six days away from Elimination Chamber and WWE does not seem all that interested. As of last week, the company was building towards three shows at the same time and Elimination Chamber felt like the least important of all of them. The show must go on though and that means some matches needed to be added in a hurry, which is now the case. There are a lot of ways to build up a big match and one of the best is to have a shorter version of the match in the first place. It’s like an appetizer at a restaurant: if they can get your attention, you might want something bigger later on. That seemed to be the case this week on Monday Night Raw, where multiple matches took place to set up rematches at Elimination Chamber. This week on Monday Night Raw, two matches were announced for Sunday’s Elimination Chamber. First, the Street Profits defeated Murphy and Seth Rollins to win the Raw Tag Team Titles. Immediately after, Rollins issued a challenge fo..

Dates And Locations Announced For Two Of The Biggest WWE Shows Of The Year

Mark your calendars. We are coming up on WrestleMania 36, which is kind of like the season finale for WWE. Everything that the company does leads up to the show and that means they need to have something planned for after it is over. That is the case with a host of pay per views still to come later in the year. Those shows need to be announced, and two of them did just that on Monday. There are a lot of pay per views on the WWE’s annual calendar and that means they have a lot to cover. In the modern version, several of the shows have some kind of a theme to them, including matches that will dominate the show. Some of these are bigger than others, and on Monday two of the biggest shows of the year had a lot of information established for the first time. The locations and dates for two 2020 WWE pay per views were announced on Monday. First, the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland confirmed via Facebook that Money in the Bank will take place on May 10. Second, according to the Wres..

BREAKING: Title Changes Hand On Monday Night Raw

Surprise! Titles are what make the wrestling world go around. With few exceptions, almost every major story centers around or at least features a title in some way or another. That can make for some interesting moments as a title change can shake things up in a hurry. If you don’t know that it’s coming, things can be even more exciting. That was the case again in a big way on Monday. One of the biggest stories over the last few weeks on Monday Night Raw has been Seth Rollins taking over the show. Rollins has dubbed himself the Monday Night Messiah and assembled an army to fight off just about anyone who dares to get in his way. As you might have expected, this included winning a title, though the title reign wound up being rather short lived. This week on Monday Night Raw, the Street Profits defeated Rollins and Murphy to win the Raw Tag Team Titles for the first time. The match was billed as the Street Profits’ last chance to win the titles forever and came after they had lost multip..

REVIEW: Elimination Chamber 2017: Which Way To Orlando?

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net, starting today. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Elimination Chamber 2017 Date: February 12, 2017 Location: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, Arizona Commentators: Mauro Ranallo, John Bradshaw Layfield, Tom Phillips, David Otunga We’re two weeks removed from the Royal Rumble and that means it’s time for another pay per view. This time it’s Smackdown only with the big namesake match setting up the Wrestlemania World Title match for the blue brand. The winner seems pretty obvious but that’s never stopped WWE before. Let’s get to it. Pre-Show: Curt..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – March 2, 2020

Monday Night Raw Date: March 2, 2020 Location: Barclays Center, New York City, New York Commentators: Byron Saxton, Jerry Lawler, Tom Phillips This is a weird one as it’s the fallout show from Super ShowDown as well as the go home show for Elimination Chamber. Hopefully we get more for the latter than the former as Elimination Chamber is hardly looking like a strong show at the moment. I’m not sure what we are going to see added but they need to do a lot of it. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Here are Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar to get things going. Heyman does his usual shtick and then says he can’t do this. It’s their job to make you interested in Wrestlemania and yes, this year’s card looks like the best in years. The problem is the main event, which is a sham. Drew McIntyre is overhyped, because he eliminated Lesnar from the Royal Rumble with the help of a low blow from Ricochet. There is no reason to believe that McIntyre can pin or submit Lesnar because the next time Lesn..
